Can EJB Beans explicitly make RMI calls?

Hi,
I'm new to EJBs and would like to know if an EJB bean (especially a session bean)
can explicitly make RMI calls to remote objects that are not EJBs?

The best approach here in my mind would be to bind the RMI object to a JNDI name then have your bean lookup the RMI object with JNDI and then make the calls.

I can't make a call with my I-phone 4

When calling a nuber it does not ring - but freezes an has to be turned off to delete the number is seems to be calling all the time

First try resetting your phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Can't make Facetime calls using my iMAC

Recently I can not receive or make Facetime calls using my iMAC. I can make and receive then on my iPhone. If I make a Faectime call using my iMAC it says the person is not available to Facetime OR it makes the connection but immediately says "call failed". If someone Facetimes me, my phone rings but not my iMAC.

Hi Everyone,
I am using Iphone 4 and I live in India.
I have few friends in USA and I want to make a call to them.
The problem is that they do not have any smartphone so I can't use any peer to peer system or Apps like Skype, Fringe, Viber etc etc.
I am looking for the names of an Apps which i can use to call from India to USA but In USA my friend don't have smartphone so I can be able to make a call on cellphone in USA without any data plan.
Please give me the names of those kind of Apps...

Assuming you have an Internet connection of some sort from your iPhone, you should be able to use any Voice-Over-IP service, such as the ones you mention. Skype, at least, allows calls to standard telephones, but such calls are not free. You will need to consult the services' pricing to know what it will cost.

Is it possible to specify a timeout value when a client makes a remote
RMI call to a WL
EJB? If the server method hangs does the client call hang forever with it?

That's what I did to try this. weblogic.ejbc knows how to pass -dispatchPolicy to
the weblogic.rmic, so in the RMI descriptor it creates:

so, maybe there is a command-line option for the timeout as well. Anyway, extracting
xxxRTD.xml and adding

works just fine.

My phone won't let me make a call, I have it activated and also used the 45 dollar plan and it still tells me to enter a phone number...What can I do to get it to work?

The mic on my iPhone4 has just quit also. Similar symptoms to yours in that people I'm talking to hear only static or my voice very faintly. The voice/memo recorder also only really records static.
It happened suddenly and seemed to get better after a day or two but then went completely after another day.
I'm returning it to Vodafone New Zealand shortly but will have to wait 5-10 days for a replacement. There are NO Apple accredited means to speed this procedure up in NZ.
We don't even have a single physical Apple Store where you could walk in and talk to a Genius.

Seriously, though .... you are aware that it's not a telephone, right? Any calls you make will be using VOIP and any of the apps and/or services (Skype, Google Talk, etc., etc.) which support that. Some of those are US-only, all have various restrictions and cost structures.

Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem clean charging port again with toothbrush and small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol.

Two EX90 devices can make video calls over Internet with No VCS-C and VCS-E

Dear Experts;
I have just started TelePresence and VCS 2 weeks before by going through cisco docs and videos and I had taken a risk of implementing the infrastructure elements.
We are now implementing Cisco Tele presence with VCS-C, VCS-E TMS,TCS,MCU and End points with Jabber in One setup.
and in another setup CUCM 10.5,UCCX 10.5 IM&P,Jabber with some 10 agents.
Now the question is In our same building in 2nd floor we have one EX90 and in 5th Floor one EX90 and over LAN we can make video calls using IP address.
In the same way is it possible to make a video call between 2 EX90 devices present in different location in the same city over Internet without the involvement of VCS-C and VCS-E.

The simple answer to that is NO! Where is the EX90 registered to at the moment? Is it on the VCS? or CUCM

Not all carriers allow that to be set using preferences in the phone. Contact your carrier.
