Can I achieve C.A.D-like results?

Hi,
I am attempting to create a 3d snowboard for a client, that I can pan around with the camera. I have been using the shape and bezier tools, but can't seem to achieve a smooth round scoop in the nose and tail. I am getting close, but can't get around the rigid angles in the vertical scooping of the two ends..
I feel like motion can do this, any suggestions? or am I trying to do too much?

You won't be able to create a 3D object in Motion - all you can create are 2D planes which you can arrange in 3D space (and you can fly a camera around and through them). However, you should be able to create curves with the Bezier shape tool - try Command-dragging on a control point to make the path curve through it.

How can i achieve Outerjoin type of results using Reports Datalink option

i am developing a Oracle Report. i am using Datalink to maintain parent-child relationship between 2 queries. If no matching value found then i want to return 0 Records. how to achieve this.
Ex: I have 2 tables like Dept & EMP
DEPT has 2 rows HR and FINANCE
I have only one employee in HR and no employee in FINANCE.
I am using the below datalink properties:
SQL clause : WHERE
CONDITION ; =
PARENT GROUP: DEPT
PARENT Column : DEPTID
CHILD QUERY : EMP
CHILD Column : DEPTID.
In the report it is showing matching columns without any issues> i want non matching columns also with Zero employess like

FINANCE 0

Following can be checked in order to return column value from child Group to Parent Group at data modal.
a. create a PlaceHolder column ( say CP_1 and CP_2) at parent Group.
b. create one Formula column at each Child group ( say cf_1 and cf_2 )
c. write code at formula to return reg_emp as ( say for cf_1)

for unreg_emp as
srw.reference(:cp_2);
:cp_2 := :unreg_emp;
.. this way now reg_emp and unreg_emp counts can be made available to parent Group.
To get a difference and return "Yes" or "No" write formula column at Parent Group ..
Create a Formula column ( say cf_3) at parent group

return 'Yes';
else
return 'No';
end if;
end;
Now use this formula as source to show value at layout under Parent Repeating Frame.

Why can't Spotlight have web like results

Is is just me, or would Web Search like results, ie bing etc, be extremely useful ?
Does anyone else wish they could have that on their Mac?

You can see website results.
Open System Preferences > Spotlight > Search Resullts
Make sure Webpages is selected.
A web type format would not work for applications, documents, etc.

I am new to UCM and have following queries . I tried searching on net but didnt get specific answers. Please guide me if possible?
1. Does UCM support streaming content. i.e. multimedia combination of video, sound and accompanying slides. And i need to know if it supports SMIL format files (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language ). Do we need to buy any component for that or it is supported by default.
2. Can we achieve a functionality to display content according to customizable rules. For example to display a
list of pages in the "ABC" branch modified within the last 12 days?
3.Can we provide search/replace property in the WYSWYG editor, I didnt find the same there? Is there any ootb for that?
4.Can we have Distributed content authoring, in order to have multiple content owners working on the same set of pages?
5.Can UCM automatically generate a site map. Optionally certain pages should be able to be excluded from the map manually?
6. Can we create and manage micro sites (or country versions of specific branches) ?
Ideally content can be in the form of symbolic links - meaning unless the microsite "overwrites" content it takes content maintained in a global site.
7. Does UCM have capability to do page assembly (reusable components)? ie. Could it be possible to create components that can be selected by users and inserted into content for standard functionalities, e.g., video players, registration forms, zoom tools?
8. Does UCM have ability to upload multiple attachments/images at once?
9. Can we hide an existing content without deleting it and later showing it again?
10. Can we publish content directly to intranet, mobile format, e-Mail or need we to write any custom component for that?
11. Can we publish multiple content types at once?

1. The Weblayout editor applet can be used to create virtual folders (not related to the Folders component) which are simply queries based on any metadata you like. So users can click on Browse Content/library folders to get to that section of the GUI then they will be presented with a base Page (think of it as a little UCM contained website) with links to reports, queries, and other pages even outside links like to Google. The number of pages you can create is not limited so you could create a large hierarchy of pages for reports and lists and search results. You can also secure sections of this internal website by security groups to keep some people from seeing those links on the pages (they simply do not show for you unless you have access to the group).
So all out of the box, and all based on metadata including security. This is the very oldest version of Folders and unlike the folders_g component is not limited in number of folders or items per folder and does not change system performance like Folders_g.
They are not truly folders and do not exist for external WebDav or DIS.
Custom code may be needed if you want to generate reports of more complex kind than are provided as default.
2. I am not a WCM expert but I think all of what you specify is possible as you ask. But again I am not WCM expert. As I remember it from 6 and 7.x Site Studio you can create multiple websites and link them into each other dynamically and even display the same content in the different look and feel context of a different site. Site studio is simply pulling fragments and content dynamically from the CS behind it. And different sites can call the same content in different ways. Your code in the webpages should be able to determine if and when you display things in your micro sites. That is not a standard Term in WCM as I understand it (microsite) but the concept works.
3. I may not understand the question, but my assumption of what you want is:
Site studio websites can use many types of content (text, html, worddocs, openoffice docs,code fragments, multi media) all checked in individually, to build up one page for display.

While loading into cube, normally you map price field coming from datasaource to
infobject ZPRICE_CURRENT   in your infocube.
So in transformation you map like this
price -
> ZPRICE_CURRENT
Now, Maintain another keyfigure in cube ZPRICE_PREVIOUS.
That is not mapped with anything.But is assigned a value in the Start routine
which just runs before, the transformation.
In the start routine write code something like this :
Read current value of price from cube for that Material.
(Select ZPRICE_CURRENT into price_curr from cube where material = DATA-PACKAGE- Material   )
if DATA_PACKAGE-price <> price_curr   ( if new_price <> old_price)
ZPRICE_PREVIOUS = price_curr. (storign present value of price in the cube )
endif.
Now save the Start routine. When mapping the fields in the transformation
dont map anythign to ZPRICE_PREVIOUS as it is already filled in teh start routine from the above code.Leave it unmapped.
The below mapping is normally maintained without change..

a) Vertical Collapsable tray feature [like Collapsable tray we have - which gets shrinked of vertical height but horizontal width still retained]
b) Enlarge Navigation Panel Feature - [like we have: Having 2 arrow marks which help to shrink or expand navigation panel of portal ]
c) Collapsable Navigatiop Panel- Expand Navigation Panel
Can we achieve any of above features by custom development or is there any standard reuse component.
Please guide.

lets leave the above requirement aside.
even if that works, it won't solve my purpose because
i found that even if i get the gp's Contextual Panel / Process Activies Panel in a collapsable window
or i hide the it, this won't appear in the collapsable window or get hidden when i initiate the process using the generated URL.
As per my requirement, i need a URL which will initiate a new GP process and doesn't show
Contextual Panel / Process Activies Panel on the left side.
But the generated URL doesn't hide it.
I think there should be some additional parameter which I should pass along the URL and the started process won't show the Contextual Panel / Process Activies Panel.
If anyone knows how to get rid of Contextual Panel / Process Activies Panel, please reply.

Sorry I misunderstood what you were trying to setup.
If you want to connect the Portal to a Non-SAP Application then I believe that you would need to use a third party tool like Netegrity Siteminder.
We have a portal that is protected by Siteminder and then we have a .NET application that is also protected by Siteminder and SSO is setup between the two since Siteminder is used.

It's an illusion. The body background image is defined with a fixed position, so the image is actually floating off to the left when viewport width is decreased. Another example of this can be seen here along with the CSS code used to create it.

For example, you can use Shockwave Flash Object controls to load or

Say I have a participant A in a specific role X. Once A is on leave the process instances should be transfered to B automatically and once A join back office the same process instances should back to A.

Yes - automatic reassignment of work items is possible on Enterprise 10g and earlier products. Take a look at the Admin guide documentation. The reason you might be having trouble finding this feature is because "delegate" means something else in Oracle BPM terms. What I think you are describing is that you'd like to specify something instead called "Absence Periods / Replacements"
It's done using the Process Admin tool in the Organization section. Click one of the participants after you have expanded "Organization" -> scroll to the bottom of the participant's infomation -> click "Absence Periods". There you can specify the start and stop time and the "Replacement" (who you want to assign the work that this person is specifically assigned to). You need to be aware of two things with this:
1. the participant you assign the work to has to have the role(s) required for the work item instances
2. the original participant cannot log in to the workspace during this time that they have been designated as absent.
