Can I change Type Action "URI" to Type Action "Launch" in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2?

I am trying get a link in my pdf form to launch Windows Explorer to a folder or just launch the excel file in MS Excel. I used LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 to create the form. My problem is most of my users have Chrome as their default browser. When they click on the link on the form it opens in the Chrome browser. If IE is their default browser it opens Windows Explorer so they can open and edit the file. But like I said, most of my users are using Chrome. In my search for a fix, I saw a discussion (see below) where they are trying to launch a pdf file with "Launch" vs. "URI".
So I was wondering, can I change Type Action "URI" to Type Action "Launch" using LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2?

I have a link in the LiveCycle form that can be clicked by the user to open Windows Explorer and modify the file. The xml for the link is below:

Hi All Technical/Functional Masters,
We are developing some transactional reports in ISU. this report has 20 columns to be printed. On screen, display is not a problem but client has a requirement to download this report in PDF format and wants to print on A4-paper in Landscape. Although we have managed to accommodate all the columns on A4 paper but have to compromise with font size that are very small and not visible. If we download the report in excel format we are able to maintain the font size 8 and accommodate all columns after little format but same in PDF is a problem.
Can anyone tell whether we can increase the font size and change font type(from SAP standard to 'Arial') before sending the output in PDF ? Is there any property or utility that can be changed or used for this purpose.

Why I need this requirment?
Account determination in TDP ( IS-OIL ) functionality is based on movement type .
In my case , because of additive addition to the main material , only some times the G/L account determination should change and this can be controled by checking additive flag during PGI and if flag available , then If I can change movement type only to these cases , I can go do new account determination. Other wise I do not want to distrub the present configuration.
If this is not feasible , then I have to think some other way to get it done .

Can i Change/Update the Lead Status using Action profile of Activity.

I have created one Lead, and on the basis of Qualification level action triggers and Ativity getting generated.
I want to know that it is possible by using functions(Action Profile/conditions) in activity, If i change the status reason of Activity (as Accepted) Earlier Leads status would change.(as Close)

What I understand is, u wish to change the status of preceding lead transaction when the activity status reason is changed to accepted.
1. This functionality can be achieved using ORDER_SAVE Badi. This Badi implementation shall check the activity reason changed to accepted, if yes, read the doc flow, get the lead transaction and change its status to close.
2. As per my knowledge use of action profiles and conditions will not be helpful in this case.Else, create an action definition as Activity reason changed, put a condition which like Activity reason= Accepted.
In the action definition Processing type use method call.
Here u will have to create a new implementation of the BADI of action profile, and put the same logic as stated in point 1.
But in think implementing point 1 should be easier.

I have a fleet of 8540w that will be used in a medical field service application. The field devices are bluetooth devices and will only pair with a device that has a Bluetooth major type of Medical Equipment. How can I change the bluetooth major device type that is reported by the notebook to the field devices?

I would have thought so, too. However, the mouse showed up with the name on a new MBP that it had not been paired with before. So, either the mouse remembers it's name, or there is some sort of sync of Bluetooth device information via Apple ID or the like. Otherwise, the MBP could not have know the name that it was given on the iMac...

in the Printable Adobe form -- for ex - as usual for dates fields in the Object Pallette the object type is a date/time field and for quantity/currency fields corresponding fields are taken
now in case the either the date, quantity or currency is initial in place of displaying 0.00 or empty date we need to display N/A (Not Applicable)
for this I would like to change the data type of the field
to put it simply --
we need to change the data type of date field from DATE&TIME to Char type to hold N/A or Quantity field to Char field to hold N/A
how can we realize this in SAP adobe forms

Hello Ramchander,
     You cannot change the data type of the field at run time in Adobe forms because the type of field you choose at the time of design level is associated with the data type itself.
If you want to achieve your requirement, then your main idea should be to set the data type as CHARACTER itself while designing the field in the adobe form itself. CHAR field will comfortably hold the value of Calculation/amount field, Currency field, Amount, Date, Time HHMMSS, Unit Accuracy, Currency key, Floating point number, Numeric text, Client, Language and many other data types.
After designing the field as TEXT field in Adobe form you have two options.
Option 1:
Select the Date field initially as type TEXT field or CHAR field in Adobe forms.
Suppose the name of the field is TEXTFIELD1, then write the Javascript code on this field in Initialize event as below.
if ( this.rawvalue == null )
     this.rawvalue = "N/A";
If the field is not blank, then it will show the date. Else it will show "N/A".
Option 2:
Select the Date field initially as type TEXT field or CHAR field in Adobe forms. Do the formatting part in ABAP itself. It will increase the performance. Avoid Javascript as much as possible.
Suppose you have a DATE variable l_dats of type DATS. Then take another variable l_date of type CHAR. Then write the below ABAP code.
MOVE l_dats TO l_date.
IF l_date IS INITIAL.
     l_date = 'N/A'.
ENDIF.
Bind the l_date to the TEXT field in the form.
Even in this case, if the field is not blank, then it will show the date. Else it will show "N/A".
But I will suggest you to use Option 2 of keeping the AMOUNT, QUANTITY, DATE, TIME fields etc as CHAR or TEXT fields in Adobe form and do the required formatting in ABAP itself.

We use SRM server 5.5 with classic scenario.
When we create shopping cart, we implemented the Change Badi to assign the purchasing group from R/3 material master.
We implemented the following logic.
If material master in R/3 has no purch. Group, SRM also has no purch. Group. So SRM display the error message You should select the purch. group to determine the purchasing group in basic view.
But, We have the standard error message, when we choose the material code this material code has no purch. Group in R/3 No purchasing groups were found.
Message number is BBP_ATTR050.
Because of this message, we can not progress the process to create shopping cart.
Can we change the message type from Error to Warning Message?
Or, Can we delete this message?

Yes. You are right.
When user choose the material code, there is no purch. group in 1st Step, but
we want to choose the purch. group in 2nd Step on basic view.
But we have the error message at 1st step. so we can not progress to 2nd Step.
If we use dummy purch. group, user could make the human mistake.
So our customer want to remove purch. group and choose the purchasing group by user.
But i'm not sure if we remove this error message, we got solve this problem..
Pls give me an idea..

You can't check this with code that runs on the server or via JavaScript in the web page.
Note that current Firefox version do not expose the built-in PDF Reader via the navigator.plugin array, so if you can't detect a plugin than maybe assume that the built-in PDF reader is used with Firefox version 19 and later.
