Can I create a calendar in Firefox

I would like to create a calendar. How do I do it?

virro:
I believe you can go to the System/International preference pane and set the computer's language to French. That should let you create your calendar in French and order it. Then reset the default language back to English.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

How far do you get trying to log in?
    1. Will it not let you enter your username and password?
    2. Does it reject your known-valid username and password?
2.1 Did you notice that it tends to uppercase the first letter of the username (possibly causing a mismatch)?
2.2 Do you get the generic red "Please enter a correct username and/or password." message or something more specific?

  • Can I create a calendar

I am trying to create a calendar for my family. Something I saw made me think Firefox has a way to do this and I would like to know how.

    Hi!
Firefox is a web browser, it can open webpages in the Internet's World Wide Web.
There are plenty of websites that help you create calendars, such as [http://www.google.com/calendar Google Calendar] , and you can visit them using Firefox. Google Calendar is one of my personal favourites because it allows me to share my calendars with other people easily.
I'm trying to think where you might have seen calendars related to Firefox ... Mozilla, the foundation that helps create Firefox, also has a Calendar project, which is called Sunbird. This is a calendar application which saves settings to your computer, though I believe it's possible to configure it to use an online service for sharing with others. This project is available [http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/ here] , as an individual application ("Sunbird") and as a plugin (named "Lightning") for Mozilla's e-mail client, Thunderbird. If you don't have Thunderbird installed, or if you don't want to have another e-mail client, choose "Sunbird".
Please let me know if I solved your question by marking this question as solved!
    Thanks :D

  • Can I create a calendar on my mac to share with students using ipads?

Students at my school will be using iPads starting this fall. I want to know whether I can create a calendar on my Mac in iCal to share with students using iPads. Would the calendar appear in their iPad Calendar app? Would they be able to make any changes? Add notes?
Thanks for any information you might have.

You will need an iCloud account. You can share a non-editable calendar to people who don't have iCloud accounts, but if you want them to able to edit them they will have to have iCloud accounts (which are free).

  • Can I create a calendar in French rather than in my default English?

I want to create a 2009 calendar to send to a French-speaking friend. It would be nice if I could produce one that displays the names of the months etc in her own language. Is there a straight-forward way to create an iPhoto calendar in French instead of my default English?

  • Can I created a calendar in spanish

I am trying to create a calendar in spanish.  Does anyone know how to do that?

You can change the system's languague to Spanish to work on the calendar or try this application: TJ-HD Software - Language Switcher. It will let you use a different languague in an applicaiton while keeping the system language the same.
I've not used it but others have reported success with it.

  • Can't create new calendar events through Thunderbird

    Hi,
I have Lightning installed and hooked up to two Google Calendars, one for actual events (both work and personal) and one for things like local holidays and week numbers (this is a read-only calendar Google's put together).
My issue is that I can't create a new event on my personal calendar through Thunderbird. I can open the "create new event" dialog box no problem, and fill in all the details, but when I hit "Save and Close" nothing happens - the dialog box stays open, and no event is created.
I can create events in a 'local' calendar (e.g. the blank "Home" calendar that Lightning comes with as a default). I can log into my Google calendar through my browser and create events no problem, but then hitting the "synchronise" button in Thunderbird doesn't make them show up (although syncing the calendar app on my android phone, linked to the same Google Calendar, makes the new events created through the browser show up no problem).
The only other information I can offer is that on the Calendar tab in Thunderbird, on the left of the screen, there's list of the calendars my Thunderbird/Lightning has installed/synchronised: "Home" (a local calendar, basically empty but functioning), "Luke John's Calendar" (Google Calendar, the one I'm having the problem with), and "Week Numbers" (Read-only Google Calendar, I don't know if it's possible to create new events on because it's read only). Next to both "Luke John's Calendar" and "Week Numbers" are little (error?) symbols: black exclamation marks in yellow triangles, which give the rollover text "The Calendar [name] is momentarily not available."
Any suggestions for sorting this out? I'd be very grateful!

    Hi Benito,
What does it mean when a subscribed calendar is corrupted?
The files iCal uses to store the calendars (.ics files) are text files. (You can look at one by exporting a calendar from iCal and opening the .ics file with a text editor.) When you subscribe to a calendar you are copying the calendar file to your hard drive. If some information is missing in the file, or the data is ordered in the wrong way, this can lead to iCal not functioning properly.
The error could be on the server or your local copy, from what you write it's hard to tell. You could try subscribing to the problem calendar from another machine to see if it has the same problem.
The usual recommendation for a local calendar (one you created) with this problem is to export and then import the calendar. This means the calendar is re-created from scratch. You can't use this solution with a calendar you are subscribed.
    I hope this helps.

  • TS3999 When I creatae a new calendar it copies all the events in my existing calendars.  How can I create a calendar with no events in it???

How can I create a new calendar (e.g. Yoga) that doesn't have all the events on my other calendars (which all appear to be synced with each other)?  I just want a blank calendar to start with.
    thanks

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • HT2513 How can I create a calendar on iCal that shows up separate from my calendar?

I want to create a new iCalendar for a friend. I have done File --> New Calendar and File --> New Calendar Group but a blank calendar does not appear. My calendar remains on the screen. I click on my Home and Work and then my friend's calendar but my calendar, not a new one, remains on the screen.  In other words, I want the other calendar to be on my computer but I want to be able to bring it up sparaately from my calendar.  How do I get a new calendar to come up?
Also, my friend has a MacBook Pro and I will want to transfer the calendar to her when it is made. How do I do this?

In iCal, you select on the left sidebar which calendars you want to be visible. You create a new calendar the way yoou describe it (File>New Calendar) and then in the left sidebar you make sure that this new calendar is the only one that has the checkbox checked. Then this calendar is the only one visible.
When you want to transfer this calendar to your friend, choose File> export calendar. This will create an .ics file which you can send to your friend by email, dropbox etc. Your frien then just dobbelclick on the .ics file, and the calendar will be saved in iCal.

  • Can't create new plist for Firefox 2.0.16

I haven't been able to get anyone on the FF forum to answer this. I hope someone here maybe able to offer some suggestions:
I suspected some corruption in the .plist file (users/library/preferenes) of Firefox 2.0.16 and trashed it, assuming that the next time I opened Firefox (2.0.16) it would write a new one. It did not. Next I put the original App, itself, in the trash (it's still there, not yet emptied), downloaded a new dmg. for Firefox 2.0.16. (The original, now in the trash, was an update starting with earlier versions going back several years). That newly installed application (with original user profile saved from the previous one) will not write a new plist either
    1. How do I get Firefox to write a new plist?
    2. Does it matter? Haven't checked everything, but so far seems to be working OK without a plist. Preferences haven't changed.
    3. I have the original on a clone. If necessary, can I just trash the new FF, put the old FF back in Applications and copy over the plist file from the clone?
BTW I notice a small difference between the size of the two Apps, old (48.1MB) and newly installed (47.7MB). They both appear as FF 2.0.16.
    Thanks for help.

Well, file this one in the very strange category. I was just about to move over the plist from the clone, but thought I'd check one more time to see if it was still missing. There it was, right where it was supposed to be, created last night at some point in the middle of our exchange. Can't track it down exactly, but it was from before I was modifying FF preferences to see if Console-which never showed anything related- would report something. I can't remember at what point I first opened FF or even if I checked again last night to see if it was still missing. Probably just assumed it still wasn't there.
I had tried closing, opening FF numerous times, and restarting, in the afternoon when this first happened. But last night was a full re-boot. Maybe that's what did it, with first opening of FF?
What's puzzling, also, is none of my preferences were missing or changed throughout, and it didn't seem to make any noticeable difference that the plist was missing. That's why I had asked in my starting post if the missing plist really mattered.
Thanks very much for the help on this.

  • Can't Subscribe Can't Create New Calendar

    All,
After using iCal with much success (and subscribing to calendars shared in www.icalx.com) suddenly I can't subscribe to any calendar (even those not from icalx) and I can't make a new calendar (even though I only have twelve). Even if I drag an ics file into iCal, it won't make a new calendar!
There's nothing wrong with the calendars from other places, as I tried subscribing to them from another machine.
Whenever I try subscribing or creating a new calendar, nothing happens. Even the progress bar for subscribing doesn't move! When I quit iCal and then restart it, there's a ghost calendar there either called "untitled" if I had previously tried creating a new calendar, or the name of the calendar I tried to drag in (although there is no data), or "Subscribed" but no data if I had previously tried to subscribe to a calendar.
Somebody please help me. I'm working with other people from other time zones and we rely on these things to work.
    Thanks!!

    Is there any help available?

    Hi
    Hope this helps.
The dbms_metadata utility is also used for punching source code, PL/SQL, and Java that is stored inside Oracle packages. Stored procedures or functions can also easily be extracted using dbms_metadata.
In the example below, I extract all procedures associated with the fred schema.
    connect fred/flintstone;
    spool procedures_punch.lst
    select
    DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('PROCEDURE',u.object_name)
    from
    user_objects u
    where
    object_type = 'PROCEDURE';
    spool off;
The script at: http://www.dbazine.com/code/ext_proc.txt shows how to use dbms_metadata.get_ddl() to extract stored procedure DDL from user SCOTT.

  • I can not create a Calendar or Book, Yet I CAN create greeting cards

    Hi,
I am using iLife 08, iPhoto updated to 7.1.1 on Leopard 10.5.1
i can make greeting cards, but I cant make a Calendar or a book. I used to make books all the time so I am very familiar with the old process.
now I select the pictures in a separate file and hit the (plus) button and in the box where a style of Calendar or book should come up, it is blank. Yet if I hit the tab for greeting cards, all of my options are there.
can anyone help or teach me the new way please?
    thanks !
