Can I do a browser-application that doesn't need to refresh in jms?

Hi!
My question is this:
I have to do a stock quotes application in browser that when new data comes from the server the browser doesn't need to refresh to update the contents and I need to know if it is possible to make it in jms and if it is where can I find information about it.
If someone knows an example that would be good as well :)

What am I missing? Another question: What do I need to have at client-side to implement jms? Does the clients need to download any other libraries to run it? Can I get a java client sending messages to a .net c# server through a jms provider?

What version of word do you have? The TS3938 sounds like it's a PowerPC app- written for an old architecture that is no longer supported in Lion. If this is the case, your files are fine- you just need a newer version of word that will run in Lion in order to open them. The newest version (2011) should be readily available anywhere, and has worked fine for me ever since I switched to Lion on release day....

for example: say i write a paragraph. then, in a weird some sort of way an involuntary gap suddenly appears between different letters of random words(i did not recognize any pattern to the gap appearing) throughout the entire paragraph. once i've double clicked on that paragraph, and made a minor change, lets say tapped a 'space' key, and then clicked ctrl+z to undo, it has aligned(or fixed) the entire paragraph and made it look ok again. i've tried numerous ways to undo the entire thing, but cannot find the reason. i've been working for a few years and there's no reason why this thing all of a sudden should happen right now.
if anyone has stumbled on something like that and can advise, i would welcome it.

if you look closely you'll see that almost every line has a single letter apart. in hebrew there is no usually a singe letter structured words.

Depending upon what version of iOS that you have it on, you might have a Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password setting which you can set to 'Immediately' - there should also be an 'In-App Purchases' setting on the Restrictions screen which you can set to 'off' so as to prevent in-app purchases bein made.

How can I have a browser image that scrolls with images on top of it scrolling in tandem - so the background is a hexagon pattern with small images inside some hexagons and I want them all to be scrollable as a user uses the browser scroll bars. At the moment the background image jumps when I preview so the small hexagons all become out of alignment. Any tips appreciated. Thanks for your answer - The images on the top layer are also links and change to show they're links on rollover - so I wanted to keep them as separate graphics - and it works to a point but when I preview the page in a browser the tiled browser image always moves no matter how I pin it and then everything becomes unaligned. Any further suggestions appreciated.

Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

A folder window should open with a file named "Bookmarks.plist" selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the folder open.
Relaunch Safari. It will open with the default set of bookmarks. Delete them all. Select
File ▹ Import Bookmarks
from the Safari menu bar. Import from the bookmarks file you moved to the Desktop. Arrange the bookmarks as you wish.
If Safari now performs normally, you can delete the old bookmarks file. Otherwise, quit Safari again and put back the file you moved, replacing the newer one with the same name. Close the Finder window and post again.

Select from the pop-up list which app should open this document. If you want that to become the default condition, click on the Change All... button.

How can I remove a malicious browser extention that doesn't show a "remove" button?

I'm using Firefox 31.0 on Mac OSX and recently noticed a "JolleyWallet" popup and some suspect "Photo-Zoom V10 0.95.14" browser extension that I did not install myself.
I would very much like to permanently be rid of the extension however there is no option to "Remove" it as there usually is for other extensions. Is there a way to manually delete a malicious extension like this?

How can I get around recovering a data file that doesn't need to be??

Sorry I am opening a new thread, but this is the biggest emergency of my 20+ year career.
Oracle 11g
1) redo logs were deleted
2) We don't do backups of the database. It is only used to demo our product, it is not a prod database
3) To get around the problem of the redo logs (which caused Oracle not able to start) I rebuilt the control file with the RESETLOGS option on
Now, when I try to start the database and open it with alter database open resetlogs; I get this:

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01113: file 1 needs media recovery
ORA-01110: data file 1: '/u01/oradata/orcl/system01.dbf'
I don't understand why it wants this and I have no idea to get around it. I don't know what to recover FROM as I already said there are no backups. But why should I have to recover anything, there never was any data loss, only the redo logs were deleted. Why can't I just tell Oracle to forget the recovery, the data files are fine?

Yeah, it was a waste of effort to rebuild your control file. Oracle needs the redologs to perform instance recovery prior to opening the database. That doesn't change just because the control file is rebuilt.
But you unfortunately don't have the necessary redo log file and no database backup. That means you are in real danger of losing your database completely. If you have a current support contract, you need to open a Service Request with Oracle support to see if you can salvage your database.
As P. Forstmann indicates, there is an undocumented way to try to open a database that is missing needed redo log data. But trying and failing may leave you worse off than you are right now. So contacting Oracle support for guidance is the right approach.

We have existing customers that have installed our application that was originally built with 2012 (provided by a contractor that is no longer available). Due to IT regulations, it is far easier to update these customers by simply replacing the .exe file, than creating an install that their IT department must run.

Java version that doesn't need to be installed?

I have a client that wants a Java app to run off a CD (for Windows) where Java doesn't need to be installed on the hard-drive of the computer. I have an older version of Java (1.3.1_08-b03) that can work this way. I simply have the Java directories on the CD.
But I was wondering if there is a newer version of Java that can be used in this way?
For example, does the 1.4.x and 1.5.x versions need to be installed via the installer or could I use them by simply copying the pertinent java directories over to a CD (or a computer with no previous java installation)?

able to run a java program from a CD without actually
installing Java on the computer. The Java
directories were just on the CD. So it does work for
my purposes.

Start probably won't work, but my immediate
application doesn't need those features...That's right, for the browser and Webstart to work they need Registry entries in Windows or registration in Linux/Solaris.
Application programs just need to be told where to find Java, via a path to the executable, either as a path statement or an explicit path as part of the java invocation.

App store tries to update an app that doesn't need updating

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1. For the last week or so whenever I try to update apps using the app store's "Update All" button I get an error saying:
Schwab Mobile and 1 other app cannot be purchased.
After which point the Schwab app is grayed out with a "Loading" bar on it. The weird thing is that Schwab is already up to date, the version I have installed is 2.1.1.1 which according to the app store is the latest. Also the app is not in the list of apps that the app store wants to update. The app will become unusable while in this state since it never actually loads. The only way out of it is to do a hard reset of the iphone using the home and sleep buttons. The next time I try to update any app on the phone the same thing happens again. I should add that all other updates complete just fine, they load and install and come back for use.
I've tried deleting and re-installing the Schwab app (which it can do just fine). I've also tried syncing the phone with my mac, nothing seems to help. It's mildly annoying to have to do a hard-reset after every time I update any app in order to get something I frequently use like Schwab back.
Any ideas what's up and how to fix it? I don't know how to make the app store realize that it doesn't need to be purchased or updated or whatever.
