can I get a weblogic Initial context (with weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory)
without importing all weblogic classes ?

I ran my client through all its functions.
I then took the access.log file and parsed out a list of all the class
files that were downloaded and built a script to create my
weblogiclient.jar file.
Before running the client we had to:
With WL5.1 I think we had to unjar the weblogicaux.jar file into the
serverclasses directory so the client could load them all individually.
Make sure you clean up after you are done with this.
With WL 6 we did not have to do that.
The access.log file is the key to building your own client jar file.
We also require the use of the Java 1.3 plug-in by our clients (for
Applets) so we can do multiple Jar caching.

You need the classes one way or another. BUT you do not have to
redistribute the whole Weblogic.jar file. Use the Weblogic class
loader then run your program. The weblogic access.log should have a
listing of all the classes you need to use and you can build your own
sub-jar. My experience is that this new jar is significantly smaller.
Ours is around 600K instead of 15MB.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I recommend you contact AT&T's dedicated BB Support staff (call their front line, request escalation to BB Support) and have them check to be sure that your account with them is correctly configured for this device. Sometimes when switching devices things don't fully automatically move behind the scenes, and only they (ATT) can validate that.

I don't have a solution to this problem. However, it does occur and it is annoying. I am testing our application on 4 client machines. On three of them, it NEVER asks for the floppy disk. On the remaining one, it ALWAYS asks. I have looked on the computers and cannot find any configuration differences (in fact, these machines are kept in a "closed environment", and therefore, they are configured, by default, exactly the same).
Does anyone have any thoughts?

Unless it is a 3rd party cord, there is no cord that just goes from the phone to the wall. However, you will need a cord that connects to the computer and the phone. There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.
