  • Can't get to any websites using Mozilla Firefox with Windows XP

Have installed NoScript and use the icon to allow the individual websites, but I still get the "JavaScript required" notice. If I look with the icon, the website is allowed. Can't reach my Verizon DSL email nor Facebook.

    Hey, pizzapie22!
In my experience with NoScript, sometimes even if you allow the main site to load JS, some blocked scripts from different domains prevent content from loading.
Does your NoScript icon have a smaller "No" symbol in its lower-right corner? If it does you may have to allow additional scripts.
    Does this help?

  • How can I get a video signal using IMAC 27 with only mini display port. I like to send the signal wireless to a TV using a TV/audio transmit system.

I have an IMAC 27 with a mini display port ( only this). I also have all the adapters ( mini display port to VGA, HDMI...).
Since I moved to UAE I like to transmit the signal frm my IMAC ( where I also look German TV on) to my TV. I will do so by using a wireless Transmit receive system with theree cinch inputs ( transmit system ( video, 2x voice).
The distance to the TV IS ABOUT 10m and one wall. I don`t want to use a cable.
Is there any solution for example mini display to VGA + VGA adapter to cinch so I can use the transmit system?
HDMI would also be an optiekn, bat then I have to by another Transmit receive system.
If somebody made already the experience I would appreciate to share the information
Is there may be any store in UAE where to get support. It is very diificult to get good advice here. They sell everything bat can not reaaly explain and have very often  no technical knowledge. With this problem nobody until now can help me.

I don't know what AppleTV can handle as far as bit rate is concerned, but increase the bit rate as high as it will let you. You are taking DV which is 25Mb/s and compressing it. If you're making an H.264, you should get great results needing no more than 6Mb/s. Bear in mind, the higher the bit rate, the larger the file size.

  • How can I get my camera to use auto frame - flex mode in the "P" mode. I can't get it.

When I use the "P" mode for stills Auto Frame is not highlighted and so I cannot get Flex Mode.   Is there something
wrong with my camera or is Flex Mode only available for C1 or C2.  Page 266 of the manual says its available yet there is not way I can get it.
If anyone else has this problem please let me know.
    thank you

    Hi Ssobel,
The FlexiZone mode is turned off when the camera is set to certain modes, such as "Continuous Shooting AF" (described on page 127 of your PowerShot SX50 HS Manual).
You may clear this and other settings by choosing the "Reset All" menu option.  To access this, press the MENU button and navigate to the "Settings Tab" (you'll see the wrench and hammer icon).  Scroll down to "Reset All" and press the FUNC SET button.  Use the left or right arrow to choose "OK", then press FUNC SET again.

I was able to get this to work.  Had to use the original administrator account and not a user with the same roles.

I am running OS X 10.5.8 and don't see an iCloud icon in my system preferences.  I do see a Mobileme icon but I would like to have all my mac devices on iCloud.  How can I get iCloud on my desktop?

iCloud requires 10.7.2 or later. See the following about how to upgrade:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

  • How can I get iCloud on my PC to 1) update my new e-mail automatically and 2) alert me to new e-mails?

I've started using iCloud on my PC to manage my e-mail / calendar / reminders, because Outlook stopped syncing correctly with my iPhone.  However, it seems like to the only way I can get iCloud on my PC to update my e-mail is to select the Get Mail icon at the bottom left of the email screen.
How can I get iCloud to 1) update my e-mail automatically and 2) alert me to the arrival of the new e-mail?

The issue here is an expectation the program will or can do something when it is not running. (At least I think that is what your saying.
I leave Thunderbird running for days at a time, as it does not clof up my task bar, simply leaving a rectangle around it's icon on the task bar.
while running like this is puts up new mail notifications a small box in the bottom right of the screen and places an icon in the notification area on the task bar.
What happens to this options I have no idea in Windows 8. I bought it but never installed it because it would not boot to the desktop. But as Windows 8 still has a taskbar, I assume they all do exactly the same things.

can i get icloud to work on OS X 10.6.8?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
iCloud isn't compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8. However, if you have created an iCloud account on a different computer or device, you can use some iCloud services on 10.6.8 > http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudSL-m.html
If you haven't got an iCloud account, upgrade to OS X Lion or Mountain Lion to use iCloud on the Mac

  • How can we get ADFSecurity work when used in OC4J, OID and OAM?

I am getting error in http server log "mod_oc4j: Response status=499 and reason=Oracle SSO, but failed to get mod_osso global context."
But I am not using Oracle SSO and my client doesn't want to use it either, I am using OAM SSO(CoreIDSSO) in my configuration. Please read the details below.
I am using ADFSecurity in an app that is protected by OAM. To migrate ADFSecurity permissions from
system-jazn-data.xml to OID, I used JAZNMigrationTool to populate OID with Grantees and Permissions. OAM gives login page, and authentication works fine.
But ADFSecurity is not working. ADFComponent Delete button is enabled even for roles that dont have permissions for the iterator delete.
    - The app works fine when I use without OAM. ADF Security permissions work fine.
    - The app works fine when used with OAM, but with ADFSecurity disabled (enforce=false).
    - When I enforce ADFSecurity alongwith OAM, ADFSecurity is not working.
In the doc "Oracle Containers for J2EE Security Guide b28957", there is a mention of use of CoreIDPrincipal for permissions. Our OID Permissions entries show
LDAPRealmRole for attribute orcljaznprincipal. I am not sure if this could be the reason.
We have configured AccessServerSDK for the SOA instance and have policy for the urls in the policy manager. We have entries in orion-application.xml, orion-web.xml and system-jazn-data.xml as per the documentations.
How can we get ADFSecurity work when used with OID and OAM?

Have you been able to successfully integrate OAS with OAM & OID? We have similar requriement and so far we have not been able to get it working.
We have application specific roles which we map to OID roles using orion-application.xml.
Any pointers to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks,
    Dipal
