Don't put a bunch of <html> tags in your JSP--just the top level ones around the whole page.
Do just put in the HTML as you would in a normal HTML page.
Do put <% and %> around your inline Java code (but again, the use of this should be a bare minimum).

Under SQL Sever XML, I can write a xsl script like this:

For example:
If we would like to import FAQDBUri.class with user-defined java functions, like TranslateDBUri(), we can write XSL file like this:

Can we call a simple java application from ESB

Please let me know how this can be done by using a ESB. The application jar exists on the host server. How we can pass parameters etc and receive results from this application.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if I completely understand your question, but you can certainly try following ways:
- call your java application via WSIF. ESB with JAVA wsif is available in 10.1.3.3.1 only (it is not supported in 10.1.3.3 very well).
- you will have to include this jar file in server.xml or bpel/system/classes so that it is available to the SOA jvm.
- You mentioned it is simple java application, but if your java API has complex (object) input and output, you will need some work

I suggest you call the function you want in either a custom tag or in the servlets/struts/jsf,... classes you are using.
If you dont want those and you prefer scriplets then 2 step,s.
First import the class then call it.

I can't have a simple 4 digits passcode on my iPhone 5

Hi everyone!
Here is the issue I'd like you to help me with: I got a new iPhone off Apple and when I restored it from my last backup, my iPhone made me chose a passcode using letters. That was weird as I've always used a simple 4 digits passcode..
Anyway, I kept on with the installation and when I tried to change it (Settings, Passcodes), I found out I could only use a letter passcode. The simple digits option was greyed and so was the turn off option..
I then called up the Apple Care, they made me restore my iPhone off my iCloud backup. I then had the option not to choose to have a passcode but when I go to the settings to get one, same deal, I can only have a letters one..
Someone from the Apple Care told me it's because iTunes sometimes encrypts backups but even when I try to use iCloud, it doesn't work..
That's really annoying, considering I'd really like to have a passcode again!!

You can also do creationComplete="firstFunction();secondFunction()". If you have more than two function calls or you need to call them all together later on I would do something like an init() function.

There isn't a "painting" function built-in.
You can do drag and drop in ADF Faces between components though.
If you want to show relationship between components with lines - you might want to look into the Hierarchy Viewer.

I am wondering how can I create a chat function in my mobile app creating in AIR and Flex. The chat should be similar to the one in WhatsApp.

To enable chat messages, you need a server. The kind of server depends on the application. Do you want to create a chat like application like WhatsApp, where the server pushes messages without an active connection? Or do you have some sort of online game, where chat messages can only be transferred when the client is connected already?
I have an online game where clients are connected to a Java server at all time. From there it is pretty straight forward:
2 textfields:
- 1 line textfield for input messages
- multi-line textfield for chat history. Make sure the textfields autoscrolls to the bottom when the content changes
on enter or button push, send a socket message to the server.
the server broadcasts all messages to all clients that are subscribers of the chat group.

Can I have a mouse-over function to play sound?

corner. What I would like is for the graphic to play (soundless as

There are several ways to do this. The easiest way is to
attach the sound to the graphic. Do this by editing the object you
want, create a layer called sounds. Click on the first frame you
want the sound to play in, press F6 to create a keyframe. Click in
that keyframe and look in the Properties window. In the box labeled
"Sound:" (go figure) you select the sound you want to play.
If you are using a roll-over listener you can use the
Sound.play() method to play the sound in the function. AS3.0
example:

Can I have some simple answers for a newbi Mac user!!

I've just added some photo's in Iphoto 08 of my holiday which was about 3GB from my pictures folder, Now by importing them into Iphoto is kind of taken up 3gb of my memory from my hard drive.
So 6gb in total for my pictures which seems to be a waste of memory..
I thought Iphoto may just take the info of each photo as a resource not actually copy the photos, Anyway what;s the best solution on storing image's and using as little memory as possible if there is a way at all.
Or is doing what i'm doing the best way? I mean what would be the down side of once importing to Iphoto deleating my photos from my pictures folder?

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.

To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto. With 10.5 you can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:

If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.

3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

Can't find the imported java class when run .jsp file

Hi,
I want to run a jsp web application using tomcat. I put all my .jsp files under "TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/junmin" directory, and put all .class files under "TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/junmin/WEB-INF/classes" directory. I set up TOMCAT_HOME AND JAVA_HOME already. But when I type in the address like below:
http://db1.acad.emich.edu:8080/junmin/login.jsp
The IE will give me error msg indicating that it can't find all the .class files which I imported them in login.jsp file.
So, does anyone know that if I miss some configuration in order to let the .jsp file recognize the .class files. Thanks a lot!

It is possible to access the class in u r classes folder from u r jsp file.
For example

This is a simple scriplet example. You do the same using jstl tags also.

How to use Advance java function in graphical mapping in XI 2.0?

currently I am using a simple java function to make an RFC call to R3 system.
I want to avoid making connection for each lookup. Instead I want to make a single connection for whole message queue and get the corresponding values in some array or container object.
please suggest a solution.
I think this is possible using Advance java function, but I am not able to find any example on using Advance java function at help.sap.com.

I'm not sure if I understood you well.
Do you want to preload some data into your structures in the memory and keep them there so you don't need to make a new connection during processing the whole message or every message?
In my opinion you can cache some data during processing a message, but it's impossible to cache some data between processing messages.
If you write your java mapping or you use graphical mapping (even with user-defined function), then you have a java class. The problem is that XI 2.0 reloads this class during processing every message, so even if you load some data from your data source into your structures in the memory, this data will be lost after reloading your mapping class.

I need to write a simple java function that checks whether or not the elements in an array first increase up to a certain point and then decrease.
A[0] < A[3] < A[4] < ... < A[k] > A[k+1] > A[k+2] > ... > A[A.length-1]

Calling Java function from java script function

I have a jsp in which on button click i am calling a java script function. now there is some data that i want to insert in a table on click of the same button. But in order to do that i need to write java code. but if i write java code inside the script function that is called on button click it doesnt work. what i understand is that i need to make a java function inside the jsp & call that from the script function. can someone tell me how to do that ?
