Can I italicize results using a format trigger?

It seems like I should be able to based on the description of the format trigger use in the help section. If so, I imagine I use one of the srw functions but which? Basically, if the field being printed is less than a certain value, I want to print it italicized (no change if the field is greater than or equal to the value).

I have been digging through both the online help, and my Oracle Reports Builder book but I haven't been able to find the proper syntax. The closest thing I found was on the Oracle website
(http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/10g/SOD_Reports.html)
which has a table of attributes. According to the table, you should use srw.set_font_style(srw.italic_style).
So my format trigger reads:

END IF;
return (TRUE);
end;
This has not been successful so I'm clearly missing something about the syntax...

9i, or 9iR2 ?. If 9i I would recommend upgrading to 9iR2 and then using the SQL/XML operators.

Report format trigger not working

Hi,
I am using a format trigger on a column in my report as follows:

When testing in reports builder everything works fine, but when running the report from a form, the trigger is not executed.
I am thinking this might have something to do with te reports runtime, but i don't know how to solve it.
I am using Report Builder 9.0.4.0.33

so, did you try my suggestion to switch the condition?
Or, is there maybe an old rep-file in your runtime-environment which doesn't include the format-trigger? Try to colorize a field and see if the correct reports-version is run.
And I am a 100% shure the :TEST value is correct.
So the field that should be hidden, stays displayedYes, but its unlikely that you hit a bug here (but not impossible), the chance in gendral is higher that there is some other reason for that. (in my case, 99.99% of the things which don't work are my own fault ;-) )

Outlook 2010 - Always reply using HTML Format Option???

Hey Guys,
Have had a good look through the outlook 2010 options but can't find anywhere the option you had in previous outlook versions to set always reply using HTML format email as your default reply type.
You can open the email and go to the "Format Text" tab and Select "HTML" but I was looking for a permenant way of setting HTML.

A couple of things spring to mind.
If you click the Reply button then delete the TO address and type a different one that's not really a reply. You are effectively Forwarding the message (to another person) and changing its format to suit that other person. Perhaps you
could investigate adding a custom button that does these two actions with one click.
Your bug system started the email in Plain Text, probably because it isn't configured for or can't handle HTML mail. Perhaps you could investigate if it can be configured to use HTML format or changed for a system that can.
You don't have to copy and paste your HTML signature. After you change to HTML format, just click Insert | Signature again and any Plain Text signature should be replaced by an HTML one. (Outlook 2007 and 2010 certainly do this as they know where the signature
is. I seem to remember that 2003 and before add an HTML signature to the message so you have to delete any existing Plain Text one and/or move the HTML signature to the right place in the message.) This is assuming you have Outlook add a signature to all messages
as they are created. If you don't then there is no signature to change on the message. You just add the signature after changing format.
I fully accept that there are valid reasons for wanting to force Outlook to use HTML format
in certain circumstances but it will not be the right thing to do 100% of the time and if you do so you risk the message you send being unreadable at the other end. For this reason Outlook makes the change of format a manual task. It could, in future,
make it easier or help you decide when it is appropriate. We will have to wait and see what transpires in Office '15' which should be going to public beta in the next couple of months.

It may help you to know how I add JARs
1. I open my Project (myProject)
2. I Mount the JAR to the FileSystem (like mypackages.jar = which includes com.mus.de.myClass.java)
3. I Mount the File to the FileSystem (like c:\..myfiles..\myProject)
3.1 I add the File to my Project
4. I select File | New -> Classes | Main
4.1 I typed "import com.mus.de.myClass.java" to refer to this package.
4.2 I called some of the public methods

Hi Kangers,
There are a number of ways to transfer data from one table to the next. It should not be hard to set up.
Conditional formatting would not be involved it moving the data but you could set it up to flag the data in the new table.
Without knowing what your tables and data look like it is hard to propose a solution.

Yes you can. OS X version 10.6.6 and later can read/write exFAT. Windows XP SP3 and later can read/write exFAT. As posted by Radiation Mac, you can do it from Windows or from OS X.
However, I've noticed Windows to be somewhat picky about drives formatted on a Mac. So, if Windows can't read it, try formatting it on the Windows machine, and see how it works on the Mac.
Posting your email on a public forum isn't a very good idea. It will likely be harvested by spambots and used as the reply-to address for spam it sends out.
Also, most people are not going to send an email to you for similar reasons. Nobody knows who you are, so sending an email to you could be giving a spammer a valid email address.
The forum is set up to automatically notify you when there are responses to your questions. When you get one, you would log back into this forum and check to see what the answer was.

PDF files shown as' damaged or used a format preview can't recognize' once I save them to a thumbdrive

I'm using a Macbook Pro system version 10.10.2.All PDF files (actually regardless of the format) are shown as' damaged or used a format preview can't recognize' once I copy them to a thumb-drive from the Mac. The file names end correctly as .pdf. I am sure that the thumb drive was in a good condition before I used it on the Mac and I tried two other new thumb drives but the problem persisted. Can anyone tell me how to solve the problem? Thanks a lot!!

Please repartition and format the flash drive for a Mac. It's likely formatted for a PC.
Drive Partition and Format
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.

I downloaded to iTunes using Lossless,can I burn cd's using another format?

I've downloaded all my music to iTunes using Lossless. What I want to know is,can I burn cd's using another format so I can get more music on to a cd for my car stereo.I would like to keep the Lossless format for my home stereo use.

Converting does not mean losing the original files.
iTunes creates copies of the files in the chosen format.
You can easily distinct them by looking at the 'Kind' column or by sorting on 'Date Added'. The converted files will have the most recent 'Date Added'.
Then put them in a playlist, choose 'MP3 CD' in the Burning preferences and burn them to CD-R.
If you don't like a long list of songs, read iTunes: How to set the play order of songs on an MP3 CD how to burn by artist or album.
If all went well, you can delete the mp3's from your library.
If you would like to keep them, but not in your current library, drag them from the library to a folder on your desktop and then delete them. Dragging to a folder will create copies of the mp3's.
If you're using iTunes 7, you could then create a second library and drop the folder with mp3's in that one.
Creating a second (third etc....) library is done by pressing and holding the Option-key when launching iTunes. Hold the key until you see a window which enables you to create or choose another iTunes library.

i have a field on report layout. i want to use its value in formate trigger to filter the record in which that field value is zero.
field is number type, getting stock of item. i want if stock of item is zero than it should not display, for this i use formate trigger of repeating frame.

Format trigger is for change the formation of value. Like change the font, make it bold,italic, changes it's colour . Not for filtering.
If you want to restrict your report not to show Zero(0) value of stock , you have to done it at SQL query. Like, if stock is a database filed you may write
select .........,....
from table
where stock >0Hope this helps.

Can't able to use :NEW in after insert trigger

When i am trying to assign value to an element of the NEW pseudo record, its giving error like :new pseudo record can't be used in this type of trigger.

Old and new values are available in both BEFORE and AFTER row triggers. A new column value can be assigned in a BEFORE row trigger, but not in an AFTER row trigger (because the triggering statement takes effect before an AFTER row trigger is fired). If a BEFORE row trigger changes the value of new.column, then an AFTER row trigger fired by the same statement sees the change assigned by the BEFORE row trigger.

PRE 9 - Why can I not use flv formats in it?

There seems to be a fix or plug-in for every other version of PRE. Why can't these fixes be used for PRE 9 - surely Adobe knows people want to use this format for editing - they let you load up to this format so why not include an editing function...?
