Can I open the browser in foxtabs in stead of homepage?

When I start firefox, it opens to my homepage.
In stead I want it to open "my top sites" in foxtabs, so I can choose which site I want to go to. Is this possible?

I don't think that is possible, the FoxTab add-on does not appear to have such a feature.
You could try contacting the FoxTab authors to see if they can add such a feature - http://www.foxtab.com/contactus/

Updated to Firefox 4.0, now I can't open the browser.

I'm running a Mac OS X Version 10.4.11 Just updated to Firefox 4.0 after Yahoo advised that things would run better. Upgraded from Firefox 3.1.16 (I think).......now I cannot open the Firefox browser at all....it won't let me launch the browser. It says: "You cannot open the application "Firefox" because it is not supported on this system". How do I go back to the old version?.....at least I was able to launch it and use it? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, Firefox 4 is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.4. You can download and reinstall the previous version (Firefox 3.6) from here: http://www.firefox.com/all-older.html

How can I stop Firefox from re-setting its internet connection configuration every time I re-open the browser? It should stay at "no proxy" but doesn't.

In the past couple of days, every time I close Firefox 8.0, it re-sets the internet configuration to "manual configuration" -- which generates a "proxy server refusing connections" error message. I have to re-set to "no proxy" every time I re-open the browser. This never happened before yesterday. What can I do to make the "no proxy" setting an automatic default on opening? ISP is Verizon high-speed.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How can I upgrade to Firefox 3.6.6 if I cannot open the browser of my current 3.5.10 version?

I can't open my Firexox browser and as I understand, upgrading to a new ff version will fix this problem and keep my settings and bookmarks as well. But how do I upgrade if I can't open my browser?
Alternately I could create a new profile of my current FF version and transfer my settings, but I have to close my current FF session which I can't do without accessing my browser which in turn won't open.
Either way I'm in a catch-22. Is there a solution for either issue?

Force Quit .
Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
When Force Quit window appears, select Safari if not already.
Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window. Wait.
Safari will quit.
Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

Thank you for the suggestion.
I ran the first aid in the Keychain both for verification and for repair and both immediately returned with "no problems found".
As for the certificate, according the web administrator nothing had changed for the certificates.
even on the windows laptop I also get the certificate as being expired, but by simply accepting that I still have access.
I had a pop up every time that alerted me to the certificate issue, but whether I "continued" or not that still did not matter.
Yesterday, in an effort to find a solution, I went into the "details" and entered to trust this website.
Now that certificate issue does not pop up anymore. But I do not know how to reverse that either.
I have the feeling indeed it has something to do with a certificate, but how is the question.

There is no way to programitically bring up the dialog window for the timestamp control. I recommend building your own dialog window VI that will work by opening when you want the user to set the time and when it closes, it can programatically update the timestamp control. It will not be as pretty but it will be just as functional.

If you use Lion, go to Applications/ Mission Control and, if you have more Desktops, as attached, it means you have more, and you must select the one you need for a certain app. If default settings has not changed, this is Control with left / right arrow
If in Snow Leopard and earlier, you have these settings in System Preferences only. In Lion, you also have some settings in Sys Prefs.

Why does the Welcome to firefox tab open with my google tab every time I open the browser? And why can't the browser hold any add-ons I downloaded? I loose then when I close the browser, even tool bars have to be reinstalled every time I open the browser

Every time I open the browser the Welcome to Firefox tab is the first tab, then a second tab opens and thats my google, then a 3rd tab opens for me to reinstall my toolbar. This has been happening for a good year. Updates have not fixed it. Others have this problem. I did a search for an answer, the question is out there but no answer. Now if I go into add ons and add a background Theme or an extension it all is gone when I exit the browser. When I open the browser again I get all 3 tabs and have to install my toolbar again. I DO NOT want to reinstall as I will loose all my saved data, passwords, bookmarks, everything! I have had this computer for a year, Windows Vista x64 bit. Its not the computer, it's the browser. Why can't I open the browser?

All of a sudden I couldn't open the browser. Whenever I click on the Firefox icon the computer "thinks" for a second or two and then nothing. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox multiple times and it still doesn't work.

Search for firefox --safe-mode and run it, it should start with everything disabled. Then find what's causing the problems and remove it

• I thank you all each and every person, ladies and gentleman who are connected with Mozilla Firefox in any manner and who have contributed for its development and any other who is in any way even concerned and every well wisher of Mozilla. My good wishes for all of them and for their work that it has become so popular and every one of them has laboured selflessly and without any money angle for that and that is the best thing. Such selfless work must be appreciated by each and all.
• My earlier suggestion for accepting cheques from those who like me do not have any cr. card has still not been accepted.
• You please incorporate features from other good programmes as these are still not there in FireFox and I am using only this since when I first installed it and I do not intend to use any other but these features as I remember were available few years back are still not there in Mozilla so today there should be many more features which can be incorporated in Firefox.
• When the connection is on but not opened i.e. the connection has been switched on but not opened i.e. the modem lights are on and not off then if I go back to a page opened then the Firefox shows loading problem but if I switch off the modem then I can access that very same page. This should be taken care of so that even if I switch on the modem but the connection is not on even then I should be able to see the page 1 or 2 or many pages backwards.
• Then I can not open the history even of today and see that page whereas earlier I could click any history page and it showed even if it was 5 days old (which is my setting) and I have not changed any setting.
• I also thank the all add-on creators because I have installed very few but even then these are very useful.
• I would also suggest that you incorporate these add-ons in the FireFox itself for example I suggested many moons back that let there be a system of any number of tabs being opened (and a few more suggestions) and it is available as add –on in tab mix plus which I have now installed.
• I also request to everyone concerned to give his ideas as to what other features can be incorporated in Firefox and these suggestions be on your website and after a certain number of well wishers and users select the idea you please either develop it yourselves or any well wisher can do it and then it can be incorporated in the Firefox.
• I also give you my suggestion which is not available presently to my knowledge in the browser or add-ons this is that if I move a window in tab mix plus then it is always in a window for each tab but instead of that my suggestion is that I should be able to move any no. of tabs or any other tab to one particular window only and that too in any manner I like in any sequence like at a particular No. of tab say 15th etc.
• I also feel presently having some problem that when I shut down the computer after save and quit pages that are there are not reopened. Loading problem in those pages appears I do not know the reason but Firefox should be able to show all the last page/pages/window/windows I was perusing after I saved and quit.

Please provide more details about your computer along with the graphics card. Also, A log file might help identify the cause of the crash. Please right-click 'My Computer', select "Manage," look under 'Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application' to see if there's an event there from Premiere Pro. If so, copy the contents of that log and paste them here.

I can't open Google Browser window

I use Mac os 10.6.8 and today my computer was really slow so I decided to shut down all open programs including Google Chrome. However, after I restarted the computer, the Google Chrome browser wouldn't open.
This has happened to me before several times and it was a simple matter of restarting the computer and it would work again.
However, it wouldn't do this.
I went to Library and saved the bookmarks and bookmarks.bak files.
I then downloaded Google Chrome.dmg and then replaced the old Google chrome in Apps with the new one. However, the browser window still wouldn't open.
I tried trashing everything - old version and new version and then installing Google Chrome again but the window still doesn't open.
I don't know if this is related but I installed CNet downloader recently by mistake and this changed all my browsers - I had new search engines and so on put in there by CNet downloader.
I had to reset some of the settings in Chrome.
I want to get rid of the downloader but don't know where to find it to get rid of it.
I am worried that the downloader from CNET is causing problems with opening Chrome because I know Yahoo! and Google are competitors ...
I may be being paranoid here. It's just that I have never had such a big problem opening Google Chrome in the past.
I really depend on Chrome for everything as a browser. How can I get the browser to open? I haven't deleted the Chrome folder in the Library/Application Support because I am not technically minded and I don't want to delete something and regret it later.
However, I have been trying to install and open the Chrome browser several times now, deleting the application from the Applications folder several times, restarting my computer, to no avail.
So I have come here to get help as I browsed the web but did not find anything helpful especially for mac users.

I deleted everything - Chrome from Applications and the Chrome folder from Library/Applications Support and then I reinstalled Chrome again. And I also went to System Preferences and I went to Security and Advanced and then added Google Chrome to the list.
After I did this, I was able to get a working Chrome browser.
But I ran into another problem. Even though I had saved the bookmarks by copying the Bookmarks file onto an external drive, when it came to importing them (as an html file) into the new Chrome, using the Bookmarks manager, it didn't work. So I had to delete the Bookmarks file and bak file from the Library/Applications Support site and then place the saved bookmarks files there. And now the bookmarks appear fine in the new downloaded browser.
I think I should try and disable the automatic update of Google feature for the future because I think that's how the problem starts. (Also, I deleted a folder named Spigots from Library because I think that's the CNET downloader application that changes your browsers and changes search engines and adds other things as well.)
