Can I power on and put the apple tv to sleep using the Ipad app?

Just got an apple tv and was controlling it from the Remote app on my ipad but I didn't see a way to put the apple tv to sleep or to power on the device using the ipad app. I had to grab the remote to put it to sleep, is there a way to use the ipad app to do this?

I have one Icloud account for my iPhone 6 plus and my ipad. I have no stoage left. So if I set up an Icloud account for the ipad it will have its own storage then I can take it off and open up some storage on my phone.

In case you're not clear - iPad/iPhone storage, and iCloud storage, are totally separate. Buying more iCloud storage does not give you more storage space on your device. Your device has a fixed storage space for apps and data (e.g., 16GB - which is more like 12GB in real terms). iCloud storage just allows you to store more documents, mail, photos, etc, in the cloud.

If the ringtones are on the old device just plug it in and do a transfer of purchases then they will be on the computer to sync to the new device.

How can I get rid of Apple Maps and Put the Google Maps back?

I wanted to know how to remove the Apple Maps and reinstall the Google Maps. The Apple Maps is a very inferior programme and not worth the space on the. Computer. It can't find anything. It's a complete waste of time.

CHances are google maps are never coming back as part of the bundled OS. Apple and Google seem to have parted ways (possibly has something to do with Google having their apps on other devices from other manufacturers but no one knows for sure)
Since preinstalled apps cannot be deleted, the most you can do is ignore the icon, shove it back on a back menu page (I have a 4th menu page on my iPad containing nothing but the bundled apps I consider worthless. I just ignore that page and never go there) and then put a shortcut to google maps on your iPad or find a third party map app you like better.

What I did was to put in the same name for Album Artist in every track. That seemed to do the trick (previously all those fields were empty). It seems like a lot of work for a simple thing.

I'd make a backup of your important stuff before cloning the entire disk.

A blank drive needs to be formatted first, you do that hold c boot (or hold option key boot) from the 10.6 install disk (or Lion USB)

one of the printers are usb'd to the imac. The printer is not "seeing" the imac nor will it print wireless from the powerbook which was the norm prior to the upgrade on the airport extreme.
Upon restart, the imac does not "see" the wireless keyboard or the mouse until it is "found" again.
At this time the imac or the powerbook can get on line.

It sounds like your computer is getting Kernel Panics. Please look at About "You need to restart your computer" (kernel panic) messages and if the message seen on your display is like the one in the link then you have confirmed you had a KP. KP's can be tough to track down because they can be caused by software or hardware. The first place to start is to post the complete crash log so we can look at it, often there are clues in the log. Just in case you are not running iOS 7 and don't have the control center feature.....
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it and you are running iOS 5 or 6, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If you are running iOS 7, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to the control center and the lock icon is in the row of icons at the top all the way to the right.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button
