Can I Run Old Logic Files

I have old logic files from Logic Gold 4.8 that I can no longer run (dead dongle--I'm still funing about that). Do y'all know if LE 8 express will run them--even with some plug-ins lost--so that I can at least have sessions still accessible?

Thanks so much--you just saved me $200. If I may follow up: I had been using Logic 4.8 on a PC, and I would be shifting them to LE7 on the mac. Would that cause any trouble, or can those PC session files be read on the mac by LE7?
It has been two years since I've been able to work with those old files, and I'd be willing to just re-buy the old dongle for now, but Apple doesn't support the old logic stuff.
I very much appreciate your response above and any other input from folks on the forum.

I recently upgraded to SNow leopard.
I have logic pro 9
I tried opening older tracks and they won't open due to the version
I made those on logic express 7.
Some of those tracks used intakt and battery 2 which now don't work on 10.6 but did on 10.5

Can Logic Pro 9 open very old Logic files?

I have Logic Express 9 but can not open my quite old Logic files. I don't have my old logic version anymore and that is very annoying.
I get the error message that I have to open the file with Logic 7.
Could it be that the pro version is able to open these files?

I'm in the same trouble as many, trying to open and convert a .lso (not that old, it's from Sept 2006...) and I don't get a hand on a previous Logic (before 7,2). I run Logic 9, and it won't open this as you know.

If it's the latter then you need to make the jar file including a manifest.
The manifest can be just a txt file with its content to be something like this:

If you're a NetBeans user, you can build your standalone application by right-clicking your project and then going to properties => run => and choosing a Main class. After that right click on that project and "Clean and Build", locate the jar file in the "dist" folder and double click it =]

Hi everyone.. i had a funny problem. Microsoft removed from registry and system the vm and i got the problem of java.dll and the registry problem when compiling.
How did i resolve that?
too easy:
1. go to the registry and search the key "JavaSoft"
2. add a Key with the name "Java Runtime Environment"
3. select the new key and add a alfa-numeric Value with the name "CurrentVersion"
4. set the value c:\jdk1.4 //the place of your jdk-version
5. insert a new Key with the name "1.4"
6. go to the new key and add an alfanumeric value with the name "JavaHome" and put the value c:\jdk1.4\jre\lib
do this where you find the key Javasoft (in my registry was twice)

Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though.

If you mean, "Can we run script logic at the time of preparing reports" is equivalent to entering data into the report and sending it to the database, then yes, you may run logic as Marcel indicates. Defualt logic is ALWAYS run for ANY and EVERY set of data that is sent via an input template from the field. You may also run logic when posting a jOURNAL entry as well. But be careful....if default logic attempts to perform to MANY or COMPLEX calculations, the time it takes to complete the process may not be in expectations with the users plans. There is a fine design balance required when planning to run logic at the time of input, as opposed to running in a package or at specific times during the day.

Running Logic 8, but can't open old LSO files

I have a few two old LSO files that I need to open, but can't because I am running 8. It says that I have to have Logic Pro version 7.2.1 in order to convert.

How old? InDesign can only PM files from version 6.0 and later.
If they're older than that you'll need to open them PM 7 and resave them.

Can MRP run without Planning File Entry?

    I came across an issue where MRP is running accurately without any Planning File Entry for a material in E.C.C.6.
    My Understanding is MRP can NOT run w/o PFE u2013 which is a mandatory prerequisiteu2026..BUTu2026???
TRY itu2026   1.in OMDU find a plant where MRP is NOT active,    2. Create a Material with all required data (I used ROH, Proc.Typreu2013 F, Strategy u2013 70, Mixed MRP-1, Ind/Coll u2013 2)   3. Activate MRP for the Plant in OMDU.   4. Create Demand according to strategy (I used VSFB in MD61).   5. Run MRP & complete procurement as many times u want.   6. In this process anytime u can check in MD21 u2013 there is NO PFE.
     Can someone tell me what the reason / logic are behind? Is there any OSS note for it?

1) in which t-code your running MRP, i suspect your running in MD02
2) MD02 & MD03 does not require Planning file entry
3) MRP gives results with out planning file entry by the above mentioned t-codes
4) where as if your going with MD01, then Planning file entry is required for materials

How can I Import old lbi files to DW8 - solved

A fast search here found me nothing so if someone knows of a
post feel free to point me there.
A year or so ago my DW4 started crashing to desktop everytime
I opened it, I haven't done much webwork the last few years so it
wasn't that important but now I just purchased DW8 and if I can't
get the old library files to work with the new version I am in for
a world of editing I don't want to deal with to re-create them all
and update every page that has one (groan).
I bet if DW didn't crash to desktop I could have exported the
old one and imported to DW8? But I can't so don't tell me to do
that :). I MAYYYYYY be able to do it on an old laptop that I think
it still worked on so that is a last resort, but how can there not
be some way for the modern DW to scan for old site files that
existed? I don't get it.

DW8 and DW4 were identical in the way that they create

Can I run a .exe file on a Mac?

I need to know know if it's possible to run a '.exe' file on an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X. There's a CD with an application I need to run. In the Finder it has the icon of the black computer screen with green letters and it's titled 'startCD.exe. It'll run on Windows but due to circumstances I need to run it on my computer. Any direction you can point me in will be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Hi,
This is possible. You just have to use the INCLUDE statement in your default logic (INCLUDE FXtrans.lgl for example), and then save and validate both logic scripts.
If you have to launch a logic in another application, by passing it some parameters for example, you can of course use RUNLOGIC statement, as said in the above thread. But the easiest way is to use INCLUDE.

How can i open old flash files in MX

I'm trying to open some old flash files that were created in
the late 80's (honest). i have flash MX but it won't open or import
these files. when i get info on the files, they want to be opened
in flash 8 but that won't launch without classic (which no longer
runs on my macbook pro).

Check the folder for the songs on your external hard drive. Is the session file still contained in each one? The session file's the one with the .ses ending.
