Can I share queries that use Web.Contents() need ApiKeyName at Power BI ?
I want to share queries at Power BI.
These queries include Web.Contents function.
And Web.Contents function have ApiKeyName for Web API authentication.
Ex:
Web.Contents("http://jlp.yahooapis.jp/KeyphraseService/V1/extract", [ Query=[ #"sentence"=t2 ], ApiKeyName="appid" ])
I try share this queries to Power BI.
But I cannot use this query at the other excel workbook.

Ok that makes sense. Thank you for the translation! That error isn't specific to your use of an API key. It is hitting our privacy firewall feature. There is more information here:

I encourage you to read that help document to get the full information, but basically it's saying that you're trying to combine two datasources and Power Query doesn't know the relative privacy level of each source. We need that info so we can make sure
that we don't leak private data out to the world.
The error message suggests that you build the query from scratch. When you do that, you'll get prompted for the privacy levels of each source and you won't have this problem. If you want to reuse this query without rebuilding it and you're absolutely sure
that none of the data involved is private, you can disable the privacy firewall by clicking the Fast Combine button. That's located in the Power Query ribbon in Excel in the Workbook Settings group. (Sorry I don't know what that is called in Japanese.)

Report that uses web services as data source, prompts for database logon

I have a crystal report that uses web services as a data source. When I deploy the report to Infoview it prompts me for a database username and password. Since I am not using a database it should not prompt me for these. I tried various options in the CMC->database settings for this report but it still prompts me for the database logon info or tells me that the database logon information is incorrect.
The report work fine in the Crystal Reports Designer.
Does anyone know how I can prevent this report from prompting me for the database logon info ?

Need ability to generate a list of reports/queries that use each universe

When we make changes to a universe, I need to be able to identify which queries / reports use that universe. Would also like to be able to get the name of the person who created the query / report and, if possible, the names of the peple who ran them.

You have to fire query in the Query Builder tool.
The following query will give you the list of IDs of the webi report built on top of the universe.
select si_webi from ci_appobjects where si_name='Universe_Name'

Apps that use web: Is there a cache?

In an app like Facebook where links go to web pages in its News Feed where does it store these pages? Is it using Safari? How do you clear the cache, cookies and history if it does not use Safari? Thanks!

When I'm using the Facebook app, for example, and click on a link, I can sometimes clearly see that a webpage is in the News Feed window. So is it using the Safari cache?
Personally, even if it's a minor nitpick to some, I like to know how much of my space I'm using. Even if it's a small amount, it will pile up over time if I don't delete unnecessary used space. That's why I'm obsessive to a point about deleting my cache, history, cookies, etc. even on my computer. Hence my original question.
Would this be a question to each app developer? Would we even get an answer since there are so many apps?

Using web content with parameter

I found the nice shuffle letters example in the DPS Tips and I like to use it in an project. It works fine and I extended it for use with a parameter. I like to set an URL like "shuffle/index.html?text=Display%20this%20text" and the shuffle script extracts the value for the text parameter and shows it. That works in the browser, but not with the web content overlay. Is there a way to use parameters in the URl with the web content?

Your first post asked how to insert a paremeter into a SQL. My example shows a value read query with a SQL function, but any SQL will work with any Query in the same pattern.
a) You call the query with session.executeQuery(query, vectorOfArguments);
b) You use #argument in the SQL string and then query.addArgument("argument");
c) You pass them in a Vector of the order in which you do the addArgument's.

Hi all,
I'm having some problems figuring out the best way to deploy our app now that we've switched over to using web services.
I'm fairly new to Java and web services. From what I understand, JNLP and WebStart are methods to deploy Java clients to users and not for creating war files and the like.
Here's a little background:
We have a large PowerBuilder/Oracle application. The db consists of over 500 tables and the client consists of several thousand PB components. A user creates "transactions" which contain a series of "sub-transactions" within. Most of the data is collected and stored locally in the client in a series of datastores. When the "finalize" happens, the records are validated and sent to the database.
We are in the process of moving each of the subtransactions (currently in the PB client) into subPROCESSES on a java project. We are using the JAX-WS framework to develop the web services in Netbeans. These web services aren't much more than remote xml as the messaging technology. For writing data back to the database, we are using the Java Persistence API to function outside of an EJB container but will shortly be migrating to the Glassfish application server to use several of the EJB container frameworks including the EntityManager.
We haven't attempted any type of deployment and are unsure of where to start. Any suggestions would be so helpful and appreciated!

It is for launching rich client GUI based (AWT, Swing, SWT..) applications onto the end-user's desktop.
There are some parts of JWS that might seem peripherally useful to the installation of a web-app., but it is really not a 'good fit'.

Errors when using Web Content Reporting

has anybody installed Web Content Reporting from the SDN download successful?
We got through the db-update and ran the aggregator component.
But we have two errors:
1.) When restarting the service, we get the following error:

Can you share several PDF documents in the books section of iTunes to another computer using iTunes home sharing

This does not work between home share enabled macs (I have 3 macs and I cannot share in any direction) PDFs or ePub files. (all DRM-free files).

Hi, is there a way that I can identify the reports that select from specific tables? We have 3,000 reports in business object enterprise XI R2 SP5. and we're trying to identify all the reports that use a specific table.

Or if you have a developer in Java or .NET available you can write one. Fairly simple to get the info.
In .NET you would open each report, write the name of the report to a log file with the output of the SQL Statement:

I don't believe there is a BOE tool that can do this but they may have one.

Can't open links that use Javascript even if Javascript enabled

I've tried to open links on a recruitment website but the ones that use javascript, or at least I assume they do as this appears at the bottom of the screen when i click on the link javascript:%20OpenWindow(350,402,%20'details.asp?dir=1&id=39649&type=O&checksum=df089b6b4eab6c4134db5582a6d77a31',%20'Update',%20'True'); but nothing happens. Direct links to another website work ok. i'm having no problems with this when using internet explorer.
