Can I trade an older device for a newer device?

I currently have an iPod 4th gen. and I was just curious if I could trade it in for maybe like a store credit towards a newer 5th gen. iPod?

Apple will only give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one. Better off selling it yourself.

Okay, I have a iPhone 4. I want to trade it in for a newer generation. I was wondering if i can do that.

You can bring it to an Apple store and trade it in for store credit; you may get more money if you choose to sell it yourself. You may also want to check with your carrier to see what options they offer also.
You can use the store credit/proceeds from the sale to buy a new phone.

Can you trade in a broken iPad for a new one?

Well, I think my answer was more accurate.  The answer is yes rather than no.  Also, the fee you mention must only be a possible fee.  Given that the original iPad was only launched 14 months ago, odds are good the OP is still under warranty.

  • Can I trade my MacBook Air for a new MacBook Air that just came out?

I was wondering that I bought the MacBook Air in November of 2010 and I would like to get the new MacBook Air can I just do a trade from Best Buy or Apply?

Well... you can return your Air as part of Apple's recycle program and get an Apple Gift Card for it's value.  Unfortunately, they (well, a company that does this sort of thing) sets the "value" which is nothing close to what you would be able to get on your own:

I don't think anyone intended to insult you.  You sort of implied in your original post that you should be able to exchange something that you purchased 8 months ago.  In fairness, I'm aware of very few places that offer a return policy that liberal.  When you clarified that you could pay up front to be guaranteed a certain percentage of the original value over time... that certainly made more sense (although Apple does not offer the exact thing... but only what I had posted the link to above).
Having said all that... when I purchased my Air, it was only about a month or so before the new ones came out.  I knew that the new ones were coming out.  I was actually concerned about the loss of the dedicated GPU and the fairly significant drop in GPU performance with the integrated Intel processor.  Granted, the new processors are about twice as powerful... that's significant.  But, I don't really do anything processor intensive on my machine.  So doubling the power for me was a non-issue.  I do just want the OS to run smoothly and fluidly and the nVidia GPU in the machine that you (and I) have does a great job.  So not only did I know that new Airs were coming out, I bought mine because I didn't want the newer model.  Of course the new Airs have Thunderbolt as well... but I'm not expecting that to take off for a while yet (and USB 2.0 has worked fine for me for years).  If you do processor intensive stuff, you could have good reason for wanting the newly released Air (although in getting the last model, I would expect you did't have heavy duty processing needs).  I personally am happy I have the previous model and the release of the new model does not devalue mine in the least.

  • Can you trade in your iPad for another one???.......... If you can would you get your money back?????

Can you trade in your iPad for another one???.......... If you can would you get your money back?????

Generally, no.  You have 2 weeks from purchase.   But you have options. Www.gazelle.com will make you an offer. Sell it to them, then go buy what you want.  What is the issue?  Just trading for a different machine will get you only what you had in the first place.

Can I trade my ipad 2 for new air ipad?

No. Apple does not take trade ins.
You can sell your iPad and use the money to buy a new one.
Alternatively you can use one of Apple's recycling partners to get an Apple Store Gift card for a fraction of the iPad's worth and use that in any Apple store to buy a new iPad.

  • When can i make a single edition for an android device?

    From Amsterdam, Europe
    As an Adobe-cloud member......
    1:
when can I make a single edition for an android device?
    2:
why can I NOT make a single edition for Android ...
Whe are not able to use the single edition at all in Europe...(why actually??)
No one knows when it will be possible....
And then also what about Android, I do not want to use Apple's hardware, but actually I am forced to do so....I think that that is a big minor for Adobe...
    regards, Anne

The original problem with android was the file size of the app, i think it was limited to 25/50Mb so have a multi-issue app solved that as the full content was downloaded from adobe servers.
That may still be the issue, though I thought the file size had been increased.
You dont have to use a Mac to create you folio's etc, you just need a mac to upload the binary, not Adobe's fault :-) and everyone is in that boat, so not a big minor for adobe then, just you maybe
    have a good weekend

  • Can i exchange my ipod 5 for a new one

because my ipod 5 is very laggy and my battery drain very fast i have to charge it 2-3 time a day so can apple exchange my ipod 5 for a new one?and do i have to pay? im under warranty.

    Exchange an item policy:
If you purchased your item from Apple in the U.S., you can take it to any U.S. Apple Retail Store for an exchange. Item exchanges are, of course, subject to in-store product availability. It's a good idea to check in-stock availability by calling the Apple Retail Store, or by viewing the product on the Apple Online Store to see if the item is available for pick up locally. Personalized items and custom-configured Macs may not be eligible for exchange at an Apple Retail Store.
Items ordered on the U.S. Apple Online Store that arrived damaged or are incorrect can be returned to any U.S. Apple Retail Store, or by contacting Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775.

  • Where can I buy a nano sim for the new iPhone 5

    Hi all,
I have just ordered a new iPhone 5 from the apple website and it comes as an unlocked phone. Therefore I need to buy a new 'nano sim' to fit the new phone.
Does anyone know where and how I go about doing this?
I've seen that vodaphone have apparently got 500,000 of these new Nano sims in stock, but are they only for people who have bought the phone through them?
Do you know any other networks or providers that are selling the nano sim, even if you haven't purchased the phone from them?
Any advice or tips would be much appreiciated.
    Many thanks
    Chris

Which is why in the UK it is not really worth purchasing an iPhone directly from Apple - it's a no brainer.  You should always purchase through the phone companies themselves and you'll get a much better deal always.
I have been with 02 on a contract since I had my first iPhone and have always upgraded for less than half the cost of the iPhone directly from Apple.
I really don't understand why someone would want to spend at least £525 to £600 on a phone from Apple when you could get it for less than half the cost with the UK phone companies, unless of course money is no object!
Where do you get your information from?

  • Where can I find a car charger for my new iPhone 5?

Where can I find a car charger for my new iPhone 5?

I use a power inverter which works great. You can get one that plugs into your car charger for about $30-$50 on Amazon. You just plug it into your car charger and plug the MBP power pack into that.

  • Re: "How do I add a device to Firefox Sync?" There is no link for add new device.

The code for the new device is some 21 alpha numeric characters long. Only a few of the characters fit in the three boxes -- they do not all fit.

The sync key is 26 characters and needs to be entered on the account page (I don't have the device), but if you have the code supplied by another device then you only have a code of 12 characters.
