Can I use Apple Pay to buy something from a friend who also has Apple Pay?
I am beginning to think this is not possible because no matter how I ask the question, I get nothing.
But, can I use my iPhone and my Apple Pay account to buy something from another who also has an iPhone set up with their Apple Pay?
It seems so simple...but...
Thanks for the quick and to the point response. Too bad. What a perfect use. Oh well, a perfect and safe implementation neglected. I wish they'd neglected to get rid of the magnetic power connector on the new MacBook too.

I saw your message. Below are the problems:
Whenever I connect my iphone 3GS to my PC through a USB. My itunes software comes up automatically.
1. After that a message appears from the itunes that states that 'itunes could not connect to the itunes store, an unknown error cccured (306).
2. After the above, an alert message comes up which states that A new iphone software version 5.1 is availlable for my iphone. It then states would you like to download it and update your iphone now? With the options buttons as Cancel or Download and Update or Download Only. Whenever I clicked on Download and Update or Download Only, the next message that comes up is that The iphone Software Update Server Could not be Contacted and suggest make sure your network setting are correct and active or try again later.
The above is the challenges I am facing now. -

TS4345 Can I use Migration Assistant to get info from a Macbook Pro that has a dead screen?
I have a MacBook Pro 17 that the screen died on. I have a new MacBook Pro coming tomorrow and need to try to find a way to get the info from the old one to the new one. From the online info I saw on Migration Assist you need both screens to work to get a authentification code. Is there any work around? I don't know what system the old one is and have no idea what type of sharing may have been on or off.
AFAIK, you can use the Setup Assistant on first boot w/o any authentication code or sharing stuff. See Pondini's Setup New Mac guide for details.

If the merchant accepts contactless payments, you should be able to use any contactless payment option (which includes Apple Pay).
Some merchants (like CVS) have NFC readers but they have been deactivated because they are a member of a competing payment system (Current C). -

Can you use Apple Pay without also needing to use a passcode to unlock your phone? I don't see that combination of options in settings.
I too don't like this. I would like to be able to use Touch ID for purchases on the App Store, Apple Pay, & Apple Store without having to use a passcode to unlock my phone. Why not allow the Touch ID to be app specific? Let us use it when we need it, not force us to use it for everything or nothing at all. That ***** that you have to set up a Passcode for your phone if you want to use Apple Pay. I didn't know about that. I haven't set that up yet because I'm waiting for them to support my credit card. Now I'm thinking I may not use Apple Pay. What a pain! Come on Apple, let us pick and choose what we want to lock down on our phones!!!

If you don't see the 'send reset info' button on the page where you can change them then I assume that you don't have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. As you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions, you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset. You could try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security
