Can i use instance variables in page flow controller with out restriction?

I am using instance variable in pageflow controller.
1) Will it give any problem if concurrent users are accessing that controller class?
2) How many controller objects will be created if multiple users (Say 10 users) accessing same controller class?

1) Will it give any problem if concurrent users are accessing that controller class? Pageflows are pere user session, different users wont cause it problems. however a single user can cause problems by using open new tab on a link etc(or back button or refresh on browser, problems with using state in a stateless protocol) . A bigger problem is that since a pageflow is indirect in session, using private variables in pageflow increases your session footprint and in a cluster , if replicated, your network trafiic as well. Using state also causes problem in HTTP , a stateless protocol,. Highly not recommended (unless you have no other choice)
2) How many controller objects will be created if multiple users (Say 10 users) accessing same controller class? 10. assuming the portlet is used once only. If you use the same portlet in multiple pages , then you have that many.

I have page flow controller that is a subclass of org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.PageFlowController runing weblogic 921. The essence of my question is: is instance variable of page flow controller thread safe?
Here are the details. I have an instance variable “status” that stores the status of the patient, which is stored in the request. It sets the status with after the patient status is retrieved from database. The set method is not synchronized.
This works fine during normal test. But it failed during load test. Does a page flow controller instance shared among different requests? If so, how can I store the status for each request?

Think about it:
JSP/Java is executed on the Server and produces HTML+JavaScript.
Then that HTML+JavaScript is transfered to the client. The client now interpretes the HTML+JavaScript.
Obviously there's no way to access a Java variable directly from JavaScript.
What you can do, however, is write out some JavaScript that creates a JavaScript variable containing the value of your Java variable.

I have to run this MAXL command for clearing a slice of ASO cube on V11.1.1.3.

I am planning to use Current_year & Current_month variables instead of hardcoding 2009 & Dec as I have to use this everymonth to clear the current months data.
If it is allowed, what is the syntax?
Is there any alternative apart from substitution variables?

You would just use ampersand and the variable name instead of the hard coding e.g. &yearVar &periodVar.
Not tried it on aso clears but in theory it should work as ...'CrossJoin({&yearVar},{&periodVar})';
just change yearVar and periodVar for your substitution variable names.

but you should be using Oracle BIEE as Datasource in order to use the variable of repository

I cannot begin to express my level of frustration. I have been trying to use the composition widget light box display for some time now. I drag the widget to my document. The default widget has three small trigger boxes and a large area made up of a forward and backward button, a background, a text box and a frame for your image.
My steps have been …
I click on the little trigger box.
I click on the frame that holds the main image.
I go to the fill menu and browse my computer for my image and then click OK.
IT shows up on my screen. Yay
I attempt to continue using the next two trigger boxes provided in the widget.
After that, I add more by clicking on the little plus sign.
This is where all heck breaks loose.
Every single time I attempt to add thumbnails, something messes up. When I go to preview, either not all of my main images show up, or it starts with the wrong one, or some are missing. I have looked and looked for help on this and the only thing I can find is how easy it is to create a great portfolio lightbox display. But as we know, that only works when your thumbnails are the same image as the images in your lightbox. If you want something different, you have to use the composition wizard. I am finding it extremely difficult and confusing to customize.
Is there an exact sequence you need to use to add images to the slideshow? I am my wits end.

Here my table name called Dailyattendance
Intime field is declared as Date Type
So now i have hardcoded 0815 and now my intime is subtracted from this time so i can calculate the employee
coming late so how can i use substitution variable here to give the value at run time
Ie i need to give 0815 instead or any other time at runtime

Where exactly are you planing to use it? Is sqlplus or at any other front end?

Using instance variables

I am currently evaluating this tool for a specific user group. I had a question in mind :
In a typical workflow which involves database connections (i.e. inserting data in a database and displayign data) do you think we should pass data between various activities and users using instance variables or do you think we should retrieve data from the tables every time for display etc

I would suggest get the data from the database first time and then store it in instance variables. Whenever, you need to update any values in the database from a particular activity, make a call to database to update it with the values from instance variables.
For displaying, use instance variables. You do not need to get fresh data from database for each activity, unless you think that data in database keeps changing for that particular records every day.

How to change the "Page Flow Error - Unsatisfied Role Restriction" page

When you try to access a page and are denied authorization to it, Weblogic automatically redirects you to a
"Page Flow Error - Unsatisfied Role Restriction" page, on the bottom of which tells you what roles you have to be in in order to access the resource. My question is how can I change this page to match the general look and feel of my application?

I know you asked this almost a month ago, so you may have already figured it out... but you just need to add a handler for com.bea.wlw.netui.pageflow.UnfulfilledRolesException. Something like this:
@jpf:catch type="com.bea.wlw.netui.pageflow.UnfulfilledRolesException" path="roles-error.jsp"
You can put it at the class level of a specific page flow, or at the class level of WEB-INF/src/Global.app, which will apply it to all page flows.

Did you upgrade to a new MacOS X version? Then you need to update iPhoto as well.
Only iPhoto 9.6 is compatible with MacOS X 10.10 Yosemite. Update from the Mac App Store.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Check the "Updates" tab of the App Store for an iPhoto update and run the update.
When you laugh iPhoto after the update, it will warn you, that the library needs upgrading, That may take a while.
Just in case that you see a warning, that the update is not possible because of an error message: "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put iPhoto back, if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support to sort out the AppleID. Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/
