Can ipad2 be used just like an touch?

I own a Bose SoundDock 10 with Bluetooth capability. Music can be played wirelessly, typically using an itouch which is also Bluetooth capable. Can the ipad2 be used as an itouch? I do not want to use my iPad as my main computer where I store all music. Thank you for your help.

First, if you have a MACBOOK PRO (a laptop), you should post in that forum. MAC PRO (desktop) and Macbook Pro are different things, so when you use those terms interchangeably, it's impossible to know what you're talking about.
Second, even guessing that you have a laptop, I still have no idea what your question means. Are you trying to load Microsoft Windows on it? Every Mac can run Windows using either Boot Camp or Parallels/Fusion/VMWare solutions. Please explain in more detail what you're trying to do, and we'll try to help. But post in the Macbook Pro forum if you're talking about a laptop.

That's why he gave you the link to make the suggestion.
But returning to your proposal ... Apple does not sell any of the "wifi" connections. It would be up to providers of service to sell giftcards, and perhaps Boingo or some of other airport-commercial WiFi firms do. I can't think of any other place I've been asked to pay for WiFi.
Now Verizon and AT&T, as well as other providers in other countries, could sell Gift Cards... and again, perhaps they do, but you'll have to check with them or make the suggestions there. It's really not an Apple issue, as they don't sell or provide any connections, just the hardware to make them.

I just purchased an iPhone 5 to replace my 3GS. However I'd like to give my 3GS to my young daughter to play games/videos and use the apps I've already purchased for her on there. However she will not have a phone service activated on it... will I have to sync it manually with the USB cable to update the apps? Will she be able to use Wi-Fi on that device if it is not activated with a cell phone carrier?
Also, I bought those apps under my Apple ID. How do I go about doing this? Can my 1 Apple ID work on two phones at the same time? I don't want to have to purchase those apps again. And if I buy a new app in iTunes in the future, will it immediately download to both devices or can I specify which device gets which apps?
What other limitations will she have using the old iPhone as if it were a Touch (without phone access)? Will we have any complications by using the same Apple ID on both devices?
I know this is a LOT of questions, so I appreciate your help! I have this new iPhone 5 sitting here waiting to be activated, but wanted to make sure I have everything straight and planned out first!

Well you wrote that YOU could activate your number, so I assume that you can send/receive using your number, and that your girlfriend also has the option to use YOUR number on her phone as well?
For me, neither of my numbers are activating, so I can only use my Apple ID.
I do think this is a problem with Apple and iOS 6, as I was able to use both phones before upgrading. I was even able to activate each number under iOS 6, but they each deactivated on their own...

I am not personally familiar witih BACnet, but I did a little research. It looks like there are 3rd parties out there that provide OPC servers for BACnet. This would be the easiest way to communicate with your device. LabVIEW can act an OPC client through datasocket or with Shared Variables using the Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module (DSC). If you're looking for something more low-level, you might try some driver-level calls, although I'm not sure what to call to be honest. I don't think the regular TCP/IP VI's in LabVIEW will work unless BACnet uses TCP.

Harriet - we are not going to see another all-in-one program for the Mac like AppleWorks. The need for it is gone. When ClarisWorks was designed RAM and hard drives were expensive. The programmers crammed a huge amount of functionality into a very tiny package by leveraging their code to do the same kinds of things in different contexts. That's why AW is modular. That's why we had all the functions in one application. But RAM isn't expensive any longer and hard drives are incredibly massive and cheap. There's no reason to create a new AW. It isn't going to happen.
Today it is just as easy for me to have Pages, Numbers, Filemaker Pro, and OmniGraffle running at the same time. I can create my spreadsheet in Numbers and then copy and paste it into my word processing program. Yes, I hope that someday Apple programmers create an official way to link a Numbers spreadsheet and the table I pasted into Pages so updating one will update the other. But even if this doesn't happen - it is easy to copy and paste a new copy. What is the big deal?
The fact is, I don't even have to create the spreadsheet in Numbers (though I think it is easier to do so). I can create a table in Pages and it has all the same functions that Numbers does. It just lacks a few kinds of special field types like buttons and sliders.
iWork is different. It isn't harder. What is hard is learning new methods. But as much as I liked AW five years ago, I like iWork today. Yes, I wish iWork included a database program though I have to be honest and admit that even back in the old days most of my databases were done in FileMaker. And a nice illustration program would be nice too. But then AWs drawing and painting tools weren't really anything to write home about.

Relink an offline clip
You can link an offline clip to a source file, even to a source file different from the one from which the offline clip was made. The linked source file appears anywhere the offline clip is used in a project. It is possible, for example, to edit an online clip in a sequence, make its source offline, and link the offline clip to another source file. The new source appears in the sequence wherever the original one did.
You can link offline clips to video files, audio files, and still-image files. However, you cannot link an offline clip to a still-image sequence different from its original source file. Instead, import new still-image sequences, and place them into timelines manually.
You can link an offline clip containing audio to a source file containing no audio. Premiere Pro deletes the audio track in all instances of the relinked clip from the project.
Note: To link the audio of a new source file, the source file must have the same type of audio track as the offline clip. For example, if the offline clip has a stereo audio track, you cannot link it to a source file with a monaural audio track.
In the Project panel, select one or more offline clips.
Choose Project > Link Media.
Select the source file, and click Select. Note: If you selected more than one offline clip, the Link Media To dialog box appears in turn for each clip you selected. The title bar of the dialog box gives the filename for each offline clip. Relink the correct source file to each offline clip. If all of the offline clips selected point to media in the same folder, the Link MediaTo dialog asks for the first file, then links the selected offline clips to all the files in the same folder as the file selected. If you link to a file from a different project, and if that project has the same folder structure and folder names as the first project, the Link Media To dialog box asks for the first file, and then links the selected offline clips to all the files in the other project.
(Optional) If you selected a source file containing no audio to link to an offline clip containing audio, the Media Mismatch dialog box appears. Do one of the following:
To delete the audio track from all instances of the offline clip from the project click OK.
To cancel linking to the source file, and retain the audio track in all instances of the offline clip, click Cancel.
In Premiere Pro CS5.5 and later, in the Project panel, you can choose Clip>Make Offline for any merged clip. When making any merged clip offline, all component clips will also be become offline. However, you can use the Relink command to link to the desired tracks, while leaving others offline.

I just recently used CoffeeCup and they have a whole list of tags you can double click on and it inserts them into your coding (HTML5, HTML, HTML4, CSS3+2, & PHP). Amazing! I need this but I want this on Dreamweaver.
Anyone know of a plugin or extension for Dreamweaver? I don't want to ditch my expensive editor but the lure of this code list makes me all giddy.

You can IM on the iPad, if you look in the AppStore Yahoo has an app and so does AIM.
What kind of videos are you wanting to watch? Are they divx/Xvid, .h264 etc? The iPad reads MP4 video format so searching Google for Convert X(X being the video type) to MP4
