Can Non SRM users approve SRM task from UWL ?

We have a requirement where certain task approvers who do not belong to SRM application hence they can not access SRM directly. But task item is available for there approval in Universal Work List. Can they approve the task from UWL. If not what we need to do so that non SRM users can approve task from portal Universal Work List

Depends on an account. The Tasks in Exchange will populate Reminders, and you can use Reminders in iCloud, but natively entering something in Calendar does not reflect in Reminders.

Limit user fields seen in Modify User Approval Request task - 11g R2

I want to do the following;
I fire a 'Modify User Profile' request, the request is being assigned to the right person. When the approver opens the task assigned to him in the Request Details tab he sees all the data about the user he will approve. I want to limit the user fields seen on this page, I just want to show few fields to the approver, is that possible? If yes how I can achieve that? Any help is strongly appreciated..

If I do it in the way you suggested, the user will not see the attributes also when he try to modify user by clicking 'Modify' link from the oim user page. I want to do this only for the page accessed described below:
Approver user has logged in to oim
click Pending Approval from left pane-> Select the task from the list ->Task Page oppened-> Click Request Details tab->User attributes are seen ... I want to limit the attributes on that page.. Customize link is not accessable from here...
Do you know any other way to achieve my requirement? Maybe there is something like approval template I dont know...

New User with the task from the copied user

Hi frnds,
I created a new SAP user id by copying the existing. When i logged into the portal using the new user id, i was able to see the task from the original user id in the task list. But this should not happen. Is there any configuration to control it?

User decision step execution from UWL

     I copied the standard user decision step and added my own text in that task. My requirement is i have to execute that step from UWL . i need to configure this task in SWFVISU, so that it will appear in UWL. My question is what are the parameters i need to maintain in swfvisu TXn . because this is not a webdynpro application or Bsp Application.

Removing Task from UWL after approval

HI Gurus
I Need to Delete a task in the UWL after approval
Scenario:
I have developed the mss/pcr adobe forms inthe place of standard adobe forms i have configured the customized adobe forms which i have developed in Webdynpro for Java
So in mss/pcr application we have two levels of approval
First
Intiator will enter the data and he will submit the form then it will goto the manager UWL
Second
Manager will click on the task(these task ids i have configured in SWFVISU) .And next one more form will be opened with the updated data and manager will approve it and he will click on the approve button then that form should not be in the UWL
But I dont know what are the settings i need to do for that .
Please help me in this .

Can non Managed users be iCal server users?

Currently we've had moderate to good success with our test runs or iCal server. One item I'm not in love with however, is that inorder for someone to have an iCal user account and set up iCal on their machine, I first have to enable and set up Open directory. The down side to this is that it then makes them a "Managed User" meaning that there password and login is defined by the server.
We'd like to be able to add people into the mix, without having them be a managed user, and especially without forcing their computer login password and iCal and or server password to be the same.

So having the machine bound to the server isn't such a problem, although if it can be done for some users sans that I'd be interested in learning how.
The bigger problem is that the users are forced to change their passwords/logins on their machine to match the password on the server.
For the most part that is OK, but we have a few users who have their own laptops, and don't like having us control their login.

Can a PC user download my photos from iCloud without an Apple ID?

I've browsed through several threads in this forum, but I have not yet found answers to my specific questions. I need to send about 50 photos from iPhoto on my MacBook Pro to a person who needs to download them onto his Windows PC. I prefer not to resort to the old-fashioned ways. That is, I don't want to burn the photos to a CD-R; nor do I want to email them four at a time. To my knowledge, my contact does not have an Apple ID. Therefore, I decided to share the photos as a public photo stream in iCloud. I don't need to secure the package with a password.
My questions:
Will my contact be able to download the photos from my photo stream onto his Windows PC without an Apple ID?
Will the photos download onto his PC at the same full resolution as on my MacBook Pro?

Add the photos to a shared stream using the public website option. This will give them a private url to access and download them from the internet using their computer browser. (See http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm1bdd9cae49.) I believe they will download to to another computer at full resolution. Photo stream photos are only "device optimized" when streamed to an iOS device.

Can non-Mac users view iCal calendar posted to iCalx?

Is there a way to publish an iCal calendar to the Web through iCalx that a large group of people can view without having a Mac and iCal? Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. Phil

OK, so let's get to the bottom of this.
I just created a new Calendar in iCal. I clicked the option for it to publish titles and notes. I added www.apple.com to the note field, and then published it to icalx (in a public folder, no password needed). I went to my icalx account and clicked on the html version of the new calendar. I navigated to the date of the new event and clicked on it. A pop-up window shows with my note in it, but the link is not clickable.
So, I went back to iCal and edited the note, changing the note to "http://www.apple.com", refreshed that calendar, went back to icalx and clicked on the event and the pop-up window had a clickable link in it, which took me to Apple's website.
I also did your specific website address and it showed up fine as a clickable link.
Is there anything at all about the above that is different when you try to do it?

Portal Runtime Error while executing GP tasks from UWL

Hi all,
I am trying to create a process in Guided Procedures.
The activities involved in this process include calling some standard R/3 transactions.
For this, I first created Portal Iviews of the SAP R/3 transactions involved. Then In GP Design time, I created corresponding callable objects of type Portal Iviews.
User's can view the tasks assigned to them in their UWL without any problems. To execute a particular task, user clicks on the corresponding Work item in UWL.
However, this gives a portal runtime error.
The log file has the following error.

Error while approving Leave request from UWL

Hi Experts,
We are getting following error while manager clicks on Universal Worklist to approve Leave Request. On system we have assigned ess id to employee no. 43 in IT 105-0001 but it gives error message about employee no. 167 which has nothing to do with this leave request.

Hi Ashish,
Short text of the error message:
"No data exists in this period for infotype 0105 and employee 00000167
This clearly suggests that the employee data is not up to date.
Go to Tcode : PC00_M40_CLSTR
here 40 is the country coding or the Molga value for India. Like wise which ever country you work for, enter the country code there instead of 40.
Enter the pernr as 00000167 and you would find till which date the payroll for 167 has been run successfully.It has to be in green color.
If the payroll is not run till the period in which you are getting the error ( which obvisouly is what the error means) try running the payroll by going to the Tcode : PC00_M40_CALC or you can ask your HR team to run this payroll for you and you are good to go.

Handle to a BPM task in UWL

Hello UWL Experts,
This is a follow up thread to the question that I have already posted in BPM forum [Handle to a Task in BPM;. The attempt here is to check if this issue could be simply solved in the context of UWL / rather than BPM.
Here goes the actual problem description.
1. There is a BPM process which parallely triggers the creation of a task (in UWL ) and creation + sending of a custom email form (HTML form containing the same task data) to a user at the same time.
2. If the user approves the task from Email (instead of logging into Portal / UWL), how to automatically close the task in UWL.
On capturing this event can I use any UWL API to close the UWL task? Will a custom UWL connector help in closing this task in UWL.?
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

CE 7.2 provides Adobe forms for this and that would solve the problem. Also, the close task event could be triggered in CE 7.3. But in CE 7.1, there is no solution for this.

Current User for a task Item

Hi,
I have created a sharepoint designer workflow for a document library and task is assigned to sharepoint group.
I want to update a column in document library with the user's name who approved the task from sharepoint group.
I tried with "Workflow Context:CurrentUser" but I didn't get correct value.
Can anybody help me out to resolve this issue?
