Can not access my iphone files in itunes

I can no longer access my music files in itunes. When I sync my iphone to my computer, the songs and my playlists show up. For some reason, I can not click on anything or change my playlists. My computer is authorized, but will not allow me to change anything! How can I fix this problem? Will I have to restore my iphone and reload my music in order for it to work?

If you manually manage music, be sure that Manually Manage is still checked.

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:

I connect to itunes and it connects but when it is done doing what it is supposed to it says were sorry were unable to continue with your activation at this time please try again later or contact apple. i just called att to check if phone was bad but they checked and said it was ok. I can not activate your iphone 4 through itune

I live in VietNam and had 1 iphone 4 but was broken. Where I live there is no apple's repair station so I had to change the baseband of the repair folder locally. So now your imei is changed and I can not activate your through itune. So the policy of what can be done to help people like me.

I can not backup my Iphone 5 to ITunes as it produces an error message just befor completion.

It seems I have solved my own problem . . . well hopefully !! ;-)
I was using a 'non' Apple cable. When I swithced to using the stock cable that came with my iPhone, iTunes can now see that I have a 'Device' and identifies it correctly as my iPhone.

How can I access my project files without iTunes on an iPad 2 (non-jB)

The other day while I was using the device, it just reset itself and decided I needed to activate it again. When I try to do this I get a message saying the "device is not part of the developer program..." and I have tried removing it's UDID from the provisioning portal at the dev website to no avail. All I really care about is retrieving my GB project files from the device, as I can most likely get over the fact that my other content might go missing. The device shows up on the left side-pane under devices in itunes, but when I click on the Apps tab, I cannot get the box that would normally be there allowing me to transfer files to and from the device for supported apps. I have searched tediously on this topic and frustratingly found no information that has helped. I also opened a case with apple and they gave me some BS suggested light reading (http://bit.ly/uHbxFs) that had nothing to do with the issue. Please Halp!

you must run the official iOS5 version, no developer version which likely is a beta . Use itunes 10.5 , connect your device, let it make the backups and then hit the "restore" button in itunes. This will download and install the one and only supported OS for your device.
Once you have this on it, you can install all apps, including garageband.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

I changed my appleID and primary email and now I can not access anything. iphone shows my old appleID and I can't log in with my old password but I can not log out and log in with new ID. How do I get iphone to work with my updated ID?

My old nternet account was cancelled and with it my emails. I updated my apple id and password in all my devices (ipad, iphone, imac, except for my moms iphone. I am trying to log out from my old account and set her up with her own apple ID and iCloud etc but it does not let me log out. I have a notebook with all my passwords in it so I know for a fact the password for the old ID/ email is correct yet a window keeps popping up that it is incorrect. I have spent hours reading and trying to fix it myself and nothing is working, same window keeps popping up. Any ideas on what to do? I have an iphone 4S, all software up to date and I made sure my moms phone is also updated. Thank you, any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you did a good job editing your Apple ID and primary email address, but you didn’t sign out of iCloud on your iOS device before hand. What you may need to do in this situation is go back to the Apple ID website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the email address that is signed in with iCloud (there is no need to verify the account after editing it back to the old account, just changing it back is enough). Once your Apple ID is back to the original account, delete the iCloud account from the iOS device and be sure to keep all info on the device when prompted. After you delete the iCloud account, go back to the website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the new address. Once it is back to the account you would like, you can sign into the iCloud on the iOS device with that new account and merge all of the data when prompted. Please use the following article as a reference.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:

Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.

Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

I Can Not Completely Delete A File In iTunes,Even After Complete Search

I need to completely clean out iTunes and all Album pictures. Some where there is a folder or file, that keeps putting back exactly what I have erased. I need to make my Itunes and all songs new, but the artwork always comes back, even when Ii erased the pictures. What file do I need to take out of the system or my home folder. Do not tell me the album artwork folder. Thats been done 50 times.
I have deleted all of Itunes files,preferences,(All). When I re install iTunes and put my music back in all the music artwork comes back. I deleted back up,
I want to restart fresh and no album artwork.

No,because the images are from me. somewheres in the library in home folder or in the system library is a hitten file or a prerence,that keeps building my iTunes as it was before. I have completely deleted all and turned off all for the Apple Store. I have deleted iTunes and all related to it about 51 times now. I always find folders after in the artwork folder with many folders and a lot of numbers.
I sure hate to erase the whole hard drive. That file is not saying anything about iTunes either. I deleted the pictures for the albumns. Then I reinstall iTunes,went off line and still that crap comes up. It wont let me do a new iTunes.
