Cannot re-install apps from LHS of itunes, though can see them onto ipad after new itunes library installed

I tried uploading everything with the original index.html and original folder (instead of just the contents of the accompanying folder), and it worked +as a workaround.+ It only works because I put everything in a different folder, one that doesn't overlap with those ghost files.
Nonetheless, that mysterious navbar7rollover.png still exists, even though it's original folder has been deleted. It's still somehow accessible via the web! I'd still like to know the answer to how to get rid of it, because this may easily happen again.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. IOS 8.1.1 will not complete install on iPad 2....

Doing via USB connection to iMac it goes through all the verification and installation processes but will not complete and keeps returning to message stating update 8.1.1 is available and do I want to intsall it. It has repeated itself 4 times now.
iMac is on 10.10.1 and iTunes latest version.
Any help appreciated.

I did all that you said except rebooting the Mac (I wanted to first discover where the issue was happening) and that solved it.
On USB reconnecting the iPad to the Mac, iTunes launched and reported that it was running iOS 8.1.1. Therefore all that was needed was to reboot the iPad after the installation process. However, Apple's installation process did not instruct that and so I feel it is at fault - It should message the updated status of the iOS rather than leave the user in a loop as it did with me.

Leopard seeing app as PowerPC and will not launch

I have a situation where Leopard is seeing an application hosted on a Mac server as a PowerPC app and will not launch it on some Intel Macs in my lab. However, the app is not a PowerPC app and will in fact launch correctly on other Intel Macs in my lab that are also running Leopard. On those Macs that it won't work on, the icon appears differently than on those where it will launch. Grayed out as PowerPC apps are supposed to on Intel Macs in Leopard. However, on those where it will launch the icon appears correctly. It's the same exact app though and the same exact OS on all workstations.
Has anyone seen this issue and if so, is there a way to resolve it?

Anyone? I can not get Intunes to load without crashing. See system setup above. Is there a fix that someone can suggest?

Help - I have some great pictures that I took that appear in the thumbnail view but not in the edit view. When I try to drag these pictures to my desktop they will not move. Does anyone know how I can print these pictures or re-save them so I can manipulate them?

It seems that somehow your iPhoto Library folder got locked.
Do a "get info" on the iPhoto Library folder.
Get info on the iPhoto Library folder
One the info pane opens, make sure the permissions are set for your user and the folder is not locked. Click the button at the bottom of the window.

Cannot get MacPro to allow me to boot to an alternative boot disk. Can choose in control panel but will not use the disk to boot. Also won't boot using disk selected using option key

My primary boot disk is encrypted as is a secondary boot disk (backup) but I cannot boot using any other disk. System 10.8.5, MacPro 4.1.
All disks mount using primary boot disk. All disks check out as OK and I have repaired permissions.
When I choose in the control panel the Mac boots but will always use my original boot disk.
When I select the disk using the option key at startup, the boot process stalls with a grey screen and a spinning cursor.

Still trying to figure this out. I erased the drive, did a format using disk util and then re-installed the system but I still cannot get the disk used as a startup drive. I also tried an external firewire drive and it won't allow me to boot from it either.
I can choose it starting up with the option key but it just gives me a blue screen and the spinning cursor.
If I select it in the startup pref pane it boots into my other startup drive only.

HT204291 AirPlay is indicated but will not play on my iPad

iPad shows AirPlay and the speaker in question but it will not play. I rebooted it. iPhone and iPod work fine.
Thoughts?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

I synced with a new computer. Lost apps, reinstalled, had docu in an office2HD app when reinstalled, but will not cut and paste?

Two ways.
- You can sync with the new computer by following these instructions

All the apps have to be in the iTunes library so the app data will have a place to go.
- Or just restore from iCloud backup. That will also pull down the apps from iCloud. Your apps data will also be restored.

Mail not responding. App is open but will not quit or respond in any other way.

My Mail app is not responding. The Dock shows that Mail is open, but I cannot get the screen to pull up, quit or otherwise respond. I tried to restart, but Mail stops that from happening.

From the menu bar, select

Your phrase 'I tried the reset button' is suspicious! For a reset you hold the Home (bottom centre) and Sleep/Wake buttons (right top edge) down together for 15 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.

All they try and do is sell me a data plan.
They said call RIM.
I should be able to connect to a WiFi network and access the internet without paying any crooks to do so shouldn't I? Can someone tell me how I can do it?
