Can start date be set before valid for date for an equipment?

Can start date be set before valid for date for an equipment?

Hello,
Generally when a asset/equipment  is purchased that is the valid from date and when commissioning done and it becomes operational then that date is start up date. So logically start up date should not before valid from date, it could be same.
Can you elaborate why you want start up date before valid from date ?
Thanks

  • How to set the Valid-to-date (datub) of a BOM item

Is there a way I can set the "Valid-to-date" of a BOM item?
    According to SAP documentation...
    Quote
<i>"If you change a BOM using a change number, the system determines the valid-to date dynamically."</i>
    Unquote
I want to "expire" a BOM item. Meaning I want to set the valid-to-date to a date in the past.
    Is this possible at all?
    Thanks for any input.

    Ferry,
    Thanks for you reply.
I do not see a field for the "Valid-to" date in the function module - CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2. There is one for the "Valid-From" date called DATUV. But I would like to change the "Valid-from" date of the BOM item.
Or is there another way to set the BOM item's valid-to date using this function module which I am missing?

  • Date & Time Set Before 2001

I am in the process of streamlining my Powerbook G4 laptop.
I have had some problems and have overcome those issues save one.
Whenever I turn on the computer the date and time option tells me that they are set before 2001.
December 31, 1969 to be exact.
Any ideas as to how I can get this back and on time if you will?
    Thanks

Hi, a. When the date and time revert to that default setting, it's an indication that your Powerbook's internal backup battery is dead. That can only happen if the backup battery is defective or the Powerbook is deprived of all power — AC and main battery — for longer than about ten minutes.
Remove the main battery and leave the Powerbook connected to AC power for five or six hours to recharge the backup battery. Put the main battery back in, start the machine, and disconnect the AC adapter. Set the date and time correctly, and use the computer until the main battery is drained and the machine goes to sleep. At this stage, the main battery should still have enough charge left in it to maintain the date and time for at least 24 hours, without the backup battery coming into play for that purpose. Leave the AC adapter disconnnected and let the Powerbook sleep overnight, or for at least 8 hours. If after that time the Powerbook is not sleeping, but has shut down entirely, your main battery needs to be replaced: it isn't reliable and isn't holding much of a charge at all. In that case, your backup battery will also have been drained, and your date and time will have been reset to the default date in 1969.
If your main battery gives you less than about half an hour of working time on a full charge, or if it gives you as much as an hour, but doesn't provide accurate or dependable readouts of its current condition in the menu bar, then you've probably been aware for a while that you need to replace it. If that's the case, think of your date and time resetting as a further gentle nudge to get cracking and replace the battery.
In the unlikely but possible circumstance that your main battery is completely dead or you don't have one at all, then your backup battery will drain and your date & time will reset in about ten minutes every time the AC adapter is disconnected, or there's a power outage, or the AC adapter shuts down due to noise in your AC line. In that case, get yourself a main battery and your date & time will be reliably maintained.

  • How To View An Item When Publish Date Is Set Greater Than Current Date

When the publish date is met the links function properly.
How can provide a method to allow this user group to view the unpublished document without granting them the manage content privilege on the page?

For anyone else struggling with this... In my case this was not working due to a bug in XI R2, XI 3.0, and XI 3.1. QueryService modifyDataProvider (tracking ADAPT01113234) has been fixed with XI Release 2 FixPack 4.5 and I've tested that it did work for me. No such fix is available for XI 3.0 or XI 3.1 as of this post but I was told that it would get a fix in the next SP (fingers crossed)

  • Validation Script for Dates and General Event Questions

I have just started using Javascript, and am now using some objects and methods etc. that I did not even know about. It's progressing rather well, now I need to know some Livecycle Designer Basics that I can't seem to answer from my searches.
Here's what I am trying to do in English:
I want users to choose a date that they will miss at our Farmers Market. I have the date field on the form - works well.
I want to validate the entry for:
The date must be today or in the future
    AND
The date must be before the closing date
    AND
The date must be a Saturday
Here's some script I've written and placed in the Validation Event (I have actually written more for testing out that the results are coming out properly):
    ----- form1.#subform[0].Missdate::validate - (JavaScript, client) ----------------------------------
var entereddate = this.rawValue;// The date vendor will not attend as entered on the form
var dentry = new Date(entereddate.slice(0,4),[entereddate.slice(5,7)-1],entereddate.slice(8,10),0,0,0); // month starts at 0!
var closingdate = "October 04,2008" // closing date of the market
    var today = Date();// today
(dentry.getDay() = 6);// and attempt to validate that the day = Saturday - nothing happens!
    But now -
How do I actually validate this - my last statement seems to be ignored. How to I force a 'false' being returned? In Formcalc I simply put a camparison statement here and if it resulted in 'False' validation failed and if it resulted in 'True' it passed - What's the JS equivalent? Or are the variables giving me troubles?
Maybe I'm putting this in the wrong Event? If so which one should I place it in.
I want to force the user to enter the correct data - how do I code this - and put in a custom message refering to this. I may even get fancy and ask the user if the next Saturday is what they meant if they enter the incorrect one (this will be a real challenge!)
I think I'm lacking some basic knowledge here that other posts have assumed. Please refer me to any help pages as well - although I've done extensive searching on this and have not really found a good explanation of Validation - only specific pages that are not basic or general enough for my understanding. Thank!

In the validation script you have to allow the field's length to be 0, or
it will not be possible to clear it...

  • Start up date and valid from date in equipment

    Hi,
If we put start up date before valid from date in the equipment master record, will there be any significance?

    Hi,
Start up Date => Date from which the Equipment is used for operation or in any activities. This will be used for MTTR / MTBR analysis, as Thyagarajan told.
Valid from date => Date from which that equipment is valid for the existing structure. In case, if Superior FL / Equipment has been changed for the equipment, valid from date will get changed according to that.
    Regards,
    Maheswaran.

  • Release date set to 1/5/11 for all podcasts and iTunes U files

I have an ongoing problem with iTunes on my MacBook Pro where the release date is set to 1/5/11 for all podcasts and iTunes U files. Although I can seemingly correctly sort by release date, the date is the same across all files. Can someone advise as to how I might go about correcting this such that the actual, proper, release date is shown? Thanks in advance for the help! - mvrb

    @King_Penguin thanks for your help
    See below some additional info:
    I have 3 Macs:
    1 X MBPr 2012 (OS X 10.9.1
    1 X MBPr 2012 (OS X 10.8.5)
    1 X iMac 2009 (OS X 10.8.5)
    1) All 3 Macs have access to same accounts and have same apps in iTunes.
    2) Problem is only found on both MBPr's 2012 with one NL and 1 US account. With one NL account (inactive) I have no issue on all three.
FYI I have multiple iTunes accounts: 2 for the Netherlands and 1 for US.
I also tried this after deleting the only 2 apps I got from the US iTunes Store but that did not solve my issue.
I think the matter is related to my iTunes account(s) and NOT to a computer (prefs file)

  • CUP - Valid to date

    Hi,
in our system we are using workflows for "deleting" users. Due to policies we have to keep a non-valid user in the system up to the beginning of the next month.
So what we did before was setting the valid-to date to the day before today. Thus, the user will be deleted by job during the next month.
Problem is: when you start a new wokflow, CUP let's you select only "today" or a date in the future for a valid to date. But when we select today and the request doesn't get approved the same day the wokflow will stop at the next stage. This doesn't make sense to me, as I can set a past valid-to date in SU01. Any ideas to solve this problem?

    Hi Varun,
As per my observation, we cannot set valid to date for a BOM. When you delete the BOM then the deletion date will becomes valid to date, the same will apply to items within BOM.
Thw work around is you can create production version in MRP4 view and set the vaild from and valid to date for this version and assign this to part with BOM details. Now the BOM will be picked up as per the validity of the version.
You have to give BOM selection criteria is "selection by production version" in MRP4 view.

  • Valid to dates on KONH table not matching the dates in A* tables- SD pricin

We have an issue in our KONH/A* tables. Please review the data below:
A583: ( This is for a Z condition type ZCTR)
MANDT KAPPL KSCHL  VKORGAU MATNR                DATBI      DATAB      KNUMH

    MANDT KNUMH  DATAB      DATBI
    028   0071519869 01/01/2006 12/31/9999
If you look in VK13, for this ZCTR record/material you will see the following dates.  We can see that two records have the same KNUMH , is this a SAP bug?
Also what is the difference in dates in KONH and A* tables ? I see that the valid from dates match but the valid to date in KONH is the valid to date of the last record in the A table.
MANDT KAPPL KSCHL  VKORGAU MATNR                DATBI      DATAB      KNUMH

Thanks for putting so much thought into this, but I still fail to see the advantage/reason of maintaining the original dates in KONH if the new dates are prior to the original date ( in case of valid to). We always have the change log to determine the origibal dates with which the record was created.
    Thanks for all the responses.
The duplicate KNUMH is causing the issue for us:
A583: ( This is for a Z condition type ZCTR)
MANDT KAPPL KSCHL VKORGAU MATNR DATBI DATAB KNUMH
    028 V ZCTR 0006 000000000000031886 03/31/2006 01/01/2006 0071519869

As you can see two records have the same KNUMH. We were trying to run archiving for condition records and came across an issue.
As there is a duplication of KNUMH ( which is wrong) the program does not pick up the 2006 record . This is because it considers the 2008 record to be compared against the residency date and skips the older one too. We tried changing the validity dates of the 2008 record to an older date so that both are within the residency date. This is how the records looks now :
    028 V ZCTR 0006 000000000000031886 06/30/2005 03/02/2005 0071519869
    028 V ZCTR 0006 000000000000031886 03/31/2006 01/01/2006 0071519869
    KONH
Cond.record no. Usage Table Application Condition type Valid From Valid To
    0071519869 A 583 V ZCTR 03/02/2005 12/31/9999
Once we did this the archiving program was able to pick this record up.
Has any one faced this issue before? Is this a known SAP issue ? I could not find any OSS for this.

  • End valid to data of material BOM

In the moment  that you create a new material BOM using transaction CS01,
have you any chance to introduce a date in the field " Valid to" ?
    Regards, Josu.

    Dear Josu,
1.While creating the BOM,you can give a valid From date(A Future Date).
2.The systems defaulty sets the valid to date as 31.12.9999.
3.This can not be changed,or can be modified unless you use ECN.

  • Determine the last date of visit before FY selected in the slicer

    Hi,
I have data for date wise clients visits.  My objective is to determine the last date of visit to the client before the FY selected in the slicer.
The objective, data layout and question is available in this file
    http://sdrv.ms/19RnW0A
Please help with the appropriate PowerPivot calculated Filed formula.
    Thank you.
Regards, Ashish Mathur Microsoft Excel MVP www.ashishmathur.com

Hi, basically this calculation would solve your initial question, though, it does not match the requested results:
    LastVisit:=CALCULATE(MAX(Data[Date]), DATESBETWEEN(Calendar[Date], BLANK(), MIN(Calendar[Date])-1))
its important to add that this calculation only works if you mark your Calendar-table as Date-table which was not the
    case in the sample workbook!
assuming you select 2012-2013, then according to your Calendar-table you select dates from 31/12/2012 till 30/12/2013
so the "last date of visit to the client before the FY selected in the slicer." would be the last visit before
31/12/2012 which would be 12/12/2012 for Client A and not 25/02/2012 as expected result
    hth,

    Gerhard Brueckl
    blogging @ http://blog.gbrueckl.at
    working @ http://www.pmOne.com
Gerhard's approach is a nice clean solution.
The only thing I would add is that we could use LASTDATE and FIRSTDATE instead of the MIN/MAX functions:
    LastVisit:=
    CALCULATE(
    LASTDATE(Data[Date]),
    DATESBETWEEN(
    Calendar[Date],
    BLANK(),
    FIRSTDATE(Calendar[Date]) -1)
In order to achieve the overall outcome described in the uploaded Excel workbook, changes to the how the [Financial Year] and [Financial Year Key] are calculated will also need to be made (so that the slicer filters the correct data ranges).
This can be done by using the suggested calculated column changes above or something similar.
Having reviewed the requirement again, the logic behind the [Last Visit Last Year] measure that I proposed is slightly different from what is required because it only looks at the last visit date
within the previous financial year to the one currently selected in the slicer. On the other hand Gerhard's is looking for the last visit date
any time before the first date in the selected financial year and this is more in-line with the actual requirement. With the provided dataset, both approaches provide the same outcome, but the difference
in behaviour would become apparent if the last visit date was not found within the previous financial year to the one selected in slicer.

  • Using SSRS Date Range- Data Not shown for date greater than by Analysis Services

    Hello Friends,
I am using Date Range filters(Start and End Date) in my SSRS Report. The Problem is that if i am using the start date will be today, then the end date will be the future date by using Analysis Service as my Data Source, the report is not generated.
I don't know why it happens? If I give the date range filters before the current date, then the report will shown.
The problem is that the future date is not in my database. Could you please answer for this. I am struck in here,.
    Table contains : 1-7-14 ,
    2-7-14,
    3-7-14,
If my Date Range will be 1st to 3 of 7th month, then the report shows the data.
if my date starts with 1st of the 7th month and ends in the future, then the report will not shown the 2nd and 3rd records...
    Please teach me why?
