Can't add friend on Game Center

Heey,
I just got an iPhone 6 plus and I'm trying to add a friend on Game Center to play games against her.
Unfortunately I tried to add her through her username, e-mailaddress and iCloud-address but she did not recieve an invitation.
She either tried to add me through my username, e-mailaddress and iCloud-address but did not recieve an invitation.
This is really annoying and can't find a working solution on google.

So I guess Apple Moderators don't really appear on these discussions much to answer questions. Good to know I suppose considering I have the same problem. I have never been able to add a friend request to anyone on Game Center and there is no option for support on the app itself.

HI! Our doughter has iPod touch 5th gen. She has a child Apple ID account which we used to sing in to Game Center. She can use multiplayer option but can't add friends from her contacts. When we go to friends button she gets message: allow iCloud contacts in settings. In restrictions adding friends is allowed and on iCloud contacts are on. Tryed to turn off the iPod several times. Please help!

It's strange how all these people on Facebook say "add me!" but they don't give you their Game Center name and so you can't add them!

I can't add friends on game center on my 5S

I have recently switched phones, from iPhone 4 to 5S and everything have been good. However today when I tried to add a friend on Game Center I couldn't. It says something about 'can't add friends from this device' and I have no idea why. Also my friend tried adding me instead but I didn't get the request. Please help.

i tried that that several times in the beginning, but then I finally figured it out ! I had to go to settings then to restrictions , in restrictions I needed to allow Game Center to add friends, but then I just decided to turn all restrictions off in general . glad that's over and done with ! Now it works ! Thank you for your response though!

Cannot add friends in Game Center with child account

I have two child accounts with their own iPads and unable to add friends in Game Center other than the family group owner. All restrictions have been turned off in settings and Game Center profiles are setup as public and allow invites. I would like to friend my two child accounts together so that they can play together. Is there some restriction for child accounts in Game Center?

Why cannot add friends on game center

I tired adding friends on game center but it doesnt work. My friends cannot add me as well. This happens for all of my friends. Anyway to resolve this? Have tried both ways in adding email and ID but cannot work. HELP!!!

Hi ppl... Me and my friend are trying to figure out how to add friends on the Game Center(or atleast I am). So any way she has friends in the game center and keeps on trying to friend me but i dont get the invite/request and I cant find the add friends button. I think she has a different version than mine. My buttons on the bottom is Me...Friends... and Games.

You can set up multiple accounts in Game Centre, sign out and create new account. You just need a different email address from any existing Apple ID's and a new password. You can still use the old account for purchases.

Go to Friends in Game Center. Scroll down the list to find the person you want to delete. On the right will be all their friend's names, the games thy play etc. scroll down that column to the bottom where it offers to remove friend. Click that.

1. This is a year old post. Things have changed, the answer is no longer accurate due to how the OS functions now.
2. You can't have a second Gamecenter account tied to the same Apple ID, because the Apple ID is the game center account. They are not separate things.
3. The OP said they had 2 iPads, which means they can use a different Apple ID for Gamecenter on the second iPad.
4. You can still creare Apple ID's specifically for game center without changing them for the other services on the other devices.

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.gamecenter.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. Cannot connect to friends using Game Center

Hi,
Me & my girlfriend both have a legitimate iPhone4 (no jailbreak or anything like that).We have iOS 4.3 installed.
We would like to play games against each other, using the Game Center.
So far we have tried 2 games - 'Fruit Ninja' & 'Yaniv', and in both cases when onetries to invite the other for a game - we get a message 'Can't Connect' after 2-3 seconds of 'Waiting...'.
We have tried dozens of times, in different times of the day, in different locations - using 3G or Wifi (both of us), and out of dozens of tries - we have managed to connect to each other only once on Wifi, and only once on 3G (the 3G time was interrupted
during the game).
The connection to the internet itself works fine, we can both log into the game center app and see our scores and each others scores in the different games, but we cannot seem to connect to each other.
This is not a problem with the game itself, because we have tried connecting with 2 differenet games.It's a problem with the game center.
We have made sure all notifications for the game center and the games themselves are turned on.
We have tried 'killing' the game center app and the game app itself, and trying from fresh - didn't work.
We tried logging off the game center and logging back on - didn't work.
We are frustrated that this simple task gives us so much headache.
Can someone please help us solve this problem ???

Having experienced this issue before, I can honestly say I dont know exactly what causes it or what fixes it.
But, what I did was make sure I cleared my entire list of processes and log out of facebook. Then try loading the King games and attempt to sync w/ Facebook.
I tried that a couple times and it eventually worked.
