Can't cancel Spotify Premium?!

I'm trying to cancel my Spotify Premium membership, and it's not letting me. It's asking me to verify my cancelation by entering my Spotify password. I enter my correct password, but it's saying it's incorrect. I've changed my password & it's still doing the same thing. What's going on? I'm still going to be using Spotify... I just don't want Premium anymore.  Thanks.

  • How to cancel Spotify Premium Trial?

Hi there! Just signed up for the Premium Trial, entered my credit card number and got Premium Status. Now I want to cancel the Premium Trial and revert to Free. How do I do that? Under SUBSCRIPTION it says: "Your pre-paid Premium will end on 2015-04-18. Subscribe to keep the tunes flowing, no need to re-credit your account every month." No option to cancel subscription. How do I do that? Please help!! Best regards

Hi susanluo3024! I had the exact same screen (only it said 2015-04-18)! It took about two hours to change. Try to log out and back in a couple of times. Then press Account overview and the subscription box on the right side of the screen should change.
When it changes, you get the option to cancel.
I did it too with my laptop.
I think it's because it has to register with Spotify. That takes a couple of hours. THEN when the system is updated, you get to manage your subscription.
    Hope that helps!
    Best regards

  • Can I set Spotify Premium to playback on WiFi only

Hi I am wondering if anyone help?
I generally use Spotify Premium on the iphone via WiFi around the house. However occasionally the connection reverts to 3G. I am concerned that I may not notice the switch and I may eat into my data allowance.
I am aware that there is an offline mode but that would obviously lose the streaming ability.

I think the Spotify crew should really fix this, what Peter said is not really a good solution. I have thesame problem, sometimes WiFi shuts down and Spotify just goes on using my 3G connection, which costs me a lot of money. Putting all music on my phone is really not a solution, since I love to play various playlists from people I don't know. Putting each playlist on my phone would be a hell of a job.
So please, put an extra option in the settings, like 'Wifi stream only', or 'warn if Wifi connection is lost'.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can't cancel Skype premium

    Hi,
trying to cancel Skype premium after clicking on:
    Change Skype Premium settings
    Getting: "
The website cannot display the page"
    Thanks,

I have just spend 20 minutes also trying to cancel my Premium subscription.  It seems that the site is purposely design to keep this from a happening.  Fortunately I canceled my credit card (for another reason) so I guess Skype will not be tyring to track me down as a owing them.
Also, has anyone noticed there is not way to submit a question if it does not fit into one of the pre-define categories...funny I could not find a category for "how do I get out of this Roach Hotel"

  • Want to cancel Spotify Premium Subscription Through iTunes.

I accidentally subscribed through iTunes and would like to cancel it but it won't let me. It is my first time subscribing. I want to subscribe through Spotify.
I went to the Subscription & Payment section but I don't see a Cancel Subscription button. Also when I try to Update Details for payment, the page just refreshes when I click the button.
Please help me figure out how to fix this problem.

To cancel your subscription, you need to sign into this page:

If you don't see a cancel option,
You might have subscribed to premium through the iPhone or iPad app.

Some fixes take longer than others, investigating problems when only truly minor % of users are having this issue is not the easiest task. It takes a bit more time.
Also Skype website releases that include improvement & fixes are not run every single day like with some personal homepage.
Fix will be implemented with upcoming releases and until then customer service is there to help: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1170/How-can-I-contact-Skype-Customer-Service

  • No option to cancel my Spotify Premium subscription?

    Hi,
I recently bought Spotify premium and I want to cancel my Spotify premium subscription as I don't want the $15 to reoccur after the one month subscription ends. But the fact is I can NOT cancel my subscription as there is no option to cancel it. Note: I bought my Spotify premium on the Spotify app with my iPhone 5 using some of my App Store $20 credit if that means anything.
    Any questions may be asked,
    Thank you in advanced

Hi I have tried cancelling my spotify through Apple by following the steps however I cannot go further than step 5. On my iTunes settings after logging on to my Apple ID I do not have an option to 'manage subscriptions'. However I definitely have got spotify via iTunes as my bank statements show 'iTunes.com/bill'. I would be grateful if somebody could help. Thanks

  • Can't cancel Premium

I'm not un-tech savy but I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO CANCEL MY PREMIUM service. I don't know what's up. I go to my account page, click manage my subscriptions, it says "no payment provider connected" and yet I am said to have a premium account and have been charged the full amount for the last two months. There is no CANCEL button or option to end the service. AND there's no freaking place to contact Spotify about the problem anywhere on the website. HELP!

  • I did have spotify premium on my phone, it then stopped working so I deleted it but can no longer re download it from app store, the 'open' symbol is not available only a cloud with a down arrow coming from it?

I did have spotify premium on my phone, it stopped working so I deleted it from my iphone 5, when I tried reinstalling the app the 'open' tab is no longer available instead there is a picture of a cloud with an arrow coming down from it.  Can anyone suggest how I might reinstall the spotify app onto my iphone again?

The 'open' button only show after you've installed it on your phone, the cloud symbol imdicates that the app is only in the cloud - if you tap on the cloud icon it should download onto your phone.

  • Can I drag Spotify songs into iTunes? (After purchasing Premium Spotify.)

I am thinking about buying Premium Spotify but before I do I was wondering if there is a way to drag songs from Spotify to iTunes after downloading them? I know you can take iTunes songs to Spotify. But I want to buy Spotify but keep using iTunes. So is there a way to get Spotify songs into iTunes?

    No. Spotify says here...
"Can I listen Spotify music with my own music player?
No. Why? This is simple. Spotify use a protected files, so music player like iTunes or WMP can not read those as music files. Only Spotify can understand those files. Also you need to use Spotify, because only this way Spotify can pay for right holders."
Spotify is like Netflix, you can have access and listen to all the music, but you can never own them and do whatever you please with them.

  • How do I get the student rate after my Spotify Premium trial has expired?

I did the Spotify Premium trial ($.99 / 3 months) and I would like to keep my account. The only option provided by the website to contunue my account is to pay $10 a month. I should be eligible for the student rate ($5/ mo), but Spotify gave me no opportunity to try to get this. I can't seem to find information about the student rate on their website. Help please!!

Hey there , welcome to the community!
Currently the student offer is only available in the United Kingdom, United States, and Germany. If you are a student and in one of those countries then proceed to the student page to take advantage of the offer. If you run into an error saying you are not eligible, then you ran into a big that's in the system. In order to apply the student discount to your account, your account cannot have an active premium subscription. Since you currently have Spotify Premium, you need to cancel it here and wait for your account to revert back to 'Spotify Free' before applying the discount.

  • I want to but cannot cancel Skype Premium

I have waded through the maze of screens telling me how to cancel Skype premium.
I cannot delete my payment method as Skype Premium has to be cancelled first.
I cannot go into subscription settings as there is no settings option as described in the how to.
I cannot open chat support, no matter how many browsers I try.
I do not use premium, I do not want it and I find it quite ludicrous that there is no simple way to cancel it or contact support.
I see all the other topics saying the same thing but no solution.
Please can someone help! I don't care about a refind. i just don't want to be debited for yet another year for somehting that I don't use and that I now read has no purpose as the only feature which was desirable is now free.

I am in the exact same situation. I have spent a lot of time on a loop of links that bring me back to the same useless pages. All I want to do is cancel my Skype Premium before it charges me again. You posted over a month ago and I see no one has offered you a solution. Is there no way to contact a customer service rep to deal with this?

  • Cost of Spotify Premium for different countries in relation to USD.

Cost of Spotify Premium for different countries converted to USD.
    Australian dollar $11.99  = $12.5
    Euro 9.99€  = $12.5
    Swiss franc 12.95 = $13.5
    Swedish kronor 99 =  $15
    British pound 9.99 = $15.8
    Danish krone 99 = $16.64
    Norwegian krone 99 = $17
Price for Spotify premium in the US: $9.99
I could come up with several different reasons why this is how it is, however I would like someone who actually works at spotify to state the reasons why the price for spotify premium differs so much between countries. And why it would be cheapest in the USA.
    Thank you.

Yes, but when you're buying a jacket.. or a DVD (a lot of jurisdictions, it's not illegal to have a region free player, only to circumvent copy protection - copy protection and region locking being distinct concepts that often vendors will attempt to intertwine but are distinct as aims).. or a CD, you can import it from that cheaper market - in some cases still cheaper with shipping than if you bought it locally even factoring in local consumption taxes. Sure, it might have some different promotional tracks, or different "extra features", or different language options in the subtitles... but the core content's generally going to be the same.
Case in point. I have an Android phone. I needed an MHL adaptor. I checked local retailer ... $40AUD
    I checked a retailer online.. $30AUD - shipped..
It took a week to arrive, but arrive it did.
With digitally distributed, geo-IP locked content - you lose that ability to shop across markets. To me, it sends the wrong signals to charge one group of people one price, and another group of people another price for the mostly the same content when it's available on the same global network. In essence, you're punishing people who you're trying to ween off the "internet is free" mentality into the world of subscriptions and micropayments.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate spotify in and of itself - I've been using it a lot at work of late and a lot of friends, both in Australia and internationally have given it a go. It's totally awesome to be able to hear something on the radio or in a movie or on TV.. tag it with Shazam or Google Music Search.. and then to key it into Spotify and hear it play on demand. It's also totally awesome that there's a linux client available - which although in alpha - works.. stably.. (one reason you'll never find me buying an Apple product is the whole 'thalt shall use iTunes' mantra)... and ok, maybe I'm not your average consumer (running Linux on the desktop, stock Android on my phone with root access, bearded and a system administrator - living stereotype much?).. but I'm interested in doing the right thing, and I know content has to move to pay with advertising revenues falling and content, well, more generally intellectual property, increasingly becoming a new and renewable commodity in a world where consumption of physical resources needs to be curtailed.
I know the local record companies probably play into the mix.. and that by taking a segmented market approach as opposed to a global market approach, there's probably a certain "flagfall" cost in smaller markets that means a higher cost as the smaller markets won't be able to match the economies of scale that would enable larger markets to charge a lower price per user but still make more by having more room to play with the margins. I guess it just grinds my gears that the price for the same 1s and 0s is higher.
I guess we'll see what happens if/when spotify considers mobile provider partnerships (especially in countries like Australia where unlimited data often has many asterisks/T&Cs, doesn't exist or costs a lot), and if the AUD should fall against the USD (we're holding above parity for awhile now)... if the price will rise then or hold?
I'll probably succumb when my advertising supported listening is cut back to 2.5 hours a week if I'm still working in a business that allows employees to stream :) .. I guess it's just being so familiar with what the currency's doing and initially being very interested in mobile streaming - and having heard things on US sites talking about the price - to find out, "no, you actually pay more".. well.. it kinda dulled the shine a bit.
I hope you find my post (although perhaps a bit long winded) polite. I believe such conversations are always best dealt with in an even tone.. and again FWIW, I do thoroughly enjoy and congratulate you on providing a working linux client... and in an apt repository at that!

  • May I have Spotify Premium on IOS and Android at the same time ?

    Hello :)
I want to subscribe at Spotify Premium and I have a question. I use Spotify on my iPad, on my phone and on my computer. May I just pay one time for my account (iPad + phone + computer) or one time for iPad, one time for phone etc ?
I'm sorry for English mistakes, I'm French :P
    Thanks !

Hello & welcome to the community!
Once you pay your subscription you have Premium on all devices you have your account open.
When you subscribe to Premium you will have all its characteristics on all your devices.
You won't hear ads on any device with your account.
The only thing is that you have a limit of 3 devices in which you can download for offline usage your playlists.
    Hope this helps! ♫
