Can't create new files in curlftpfs mounted directory
Hi All.
I'm trying to mount an FTP directory locally so I can use it as a local directory.
I have this in my fstab:
curlftpfs#USERNAME:[email protected] /media/ftp fuse rw,allow_other,proxy=,uid=500,user 0 0
now, here's the weird thing.
I can edit files in there fine.
If I try to create a new file (using mousepad for example) the file is created, then I get an error 'unable to write file'.
The problem with that is that when I try to (for example) create a new project in kdevelop using this directory, the 'unable to write file' error means kdevelop isn't able to create it's project file.
Help?

Can't create new files after moving to ext drive, LR4
I moved all photos to a new ext drive (they used to be on the c drive); reformatted my desktop computer; reinstalled LR4.
Now there is no parent file under the name of the ext drive on which I can right click and "create a folder inside....". I am able to create new folders in the existing subfolders.
There is also no way to sync the drive to find a new folder I created via Windows explorer.
My filing system is by month and year so now with each passing month I am not able to set up a new file.
Help! Can you right-click on a folder name in the Lightroom Folder Panel and select "Show Parent Folder"?
Can you import new photos directly to the desired folder in the desired location? -
Can't create new files in Illustrator CS5
We have a couple of custom New Document Profiles as well as the standard ones for Illustrator. When I launch the Illustrator it opens fine. I can create a single new file and if I keep that file open and create more new files after it they open fine as well, but if I close the files and then try to create another new file nothing happens. It doesn't matter which profile I use. If I shut down and restart Illustrator I can create a new file again.
I checked permissions on the ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS5.1/en_US/New Document Profiles folder and I have read/write to it and all contents.
Any suggestions on why this might be happening and what to do to resolve the issue?
Thanks in advance for any help!Ok, think I figured this one out. We had the option under Type Preferences to Show Font Names in English selected. Apparently this causes some kind of conflict. I realized after posting above, that something was happening when we were changing our preferences to cause this. So I went through each preference panel, made my changes and quit then restarted Illustrator until I got to the one that brought the problem back. I could reproduce the error by turning this option on and eliminate it by turning it off. So I'm going to assume that is the cause. If I find out any different down the road I'll post back, but for now I'm considering it mystery solved.

Can't Create New File, PLEASE HELP!!!!
Hello,
I've been trying to read the previous forums on this topic and none of the advice has worked for me. I am running Photoshop 7.0 on Windows XP. It has been running fine for several years until this week.
I ran the Spyder 2 Suite to calibrate my laptop and LCD monitor and now the problem has arisen. One of the software's requests was to disable Adobe Gamma so I deleter my Adobe Gamma Loader.exe file from the start up folder.
As I went to create a new file in Photoshop, nothing would happen. The whole drop down menu for File was grayed out and I would have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get out of Photoshop. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, as well as uninstalled the Spyder software and still can't create a new file.
I checked and my Adobe Gamma Loader is back in the startup folder.
I also tried deleting my printer and took down my firewall like other posts have listed but those also did not work.
Please help!!!! I need to get back to some work asap!
Thanks,
Ryantry resetting your preferences per the faq:
http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.ef4a07f/1
also make sure you're running ps 7.01 there were tons of bug fixes in that update over vers 7.0. -
Can't create new file automator action
I'm trying to create a new Automator action that prompts the user to choose a new file. The Action is similar to the "Ask for Finder Items" actions except that it asks the user to choose a new file and not one that already exists.
I chose to write it in applescript:
script PicknewFile
property parent : class "AMBundleAction"
on runWithInputfromAction_error(input, anAction, errorRef)
return choose file with prompt "Where do you want to save it?"
end runWithInputfromAction_error
end script
When I try and run it, I get the following error message in the Xcode console.
[Switching to process 10606]
Program received signal: “EXCBADACCESS”.
[Switching to process 10606]
sharedlibrary apply-load-rules all
No memory available to program now: unsafe to call malloc
Data Formatters temporarily unavailable, will re-try after a 'continue'. (Not safe to call dlopen at this time.)
kill
Does anybody know when this happens?
Thanks,
ScottLooks like I was wrong. I created a brand new project in Xcode and all I did as add "choose file name" to the applescript. It still gets a "EXCBADACCESS". I also tried a 'display dialog "Error"' in my applescript and it does the same thing.
Here is the script the fails. Everything else in the project is default.
script ChoosenewFile
property parent : class "AMBundleAction"
on runWithInputfromAction_error(input, anAction, errorRef)
-- Add your code here, returning the data to be passed to the next action.
display dialog "Error"
return input
end runWithInputfromAction_error
end script

Can't create new files nor open existing ones.
It's been a while since I last used photoshop, a similar kind of problem made me move away from the product, but the new features in CS6 are enticing enough for me to be interested in trying it again.
My problem is that, while the interface is completely usable (I can open the color picker, play with tools and preselects) trying to open a file or creating a new one does absolutely nothing.
File->New or CTRL+N will show the busy cursor for but a brief second, and then disappear, dragging a file to the interface shows me the "denied" cursor (black circle with a bar), File->Open lets me browse my disk but then when I select the image, nothing happens.
I've been scouring the forums for a solution to this and tried so many things that it's impossible for me to even try and list them all, so I'll accept any suggestion and try anything, I'll sum up what I did try in the first post (if it stays editable).
Please let me succeed in this, I'd love to go back to photoshop. How can I test the other display theory? I didn't connect any new monitor (I do use 2) but I occasionally use stuff like remote desktop tools.
I'll try and update the display drivers (even tho I updated them recently).
P.S.: opening it on the other monitor worked. What the heck. Any way I can make it work on both monitors?
I'll be making more tests in the meanwhile. -

Sure there can. Don't you see the input on the Express VI for a file? "Path To Save Report" is the name of the input you want.

So you need a an application server (like Tomcat or Jboss) to execute your jsp files.
you can create the .war file of your simple jsp application and put it in the server.
then you will have to access your page using a web browser.
the URL will be
http://<ComputerName or IP Address>:<PortNumber>/<WarFileName>/<MainJspPage>
(eg: http://100.100.100.252:8080/SimpleApplication/mainPage.jsp)

Can't create a file, Can't Publish to iWeb
When I try to publish some changes to my site, I get a Publish Error that says: Can’t create the file “droppedImage.png.” The disk may be damaged or full, or you may not have sufficient access privileges.
My iDisk doesn't seem otherwise to be damaged and it is less than half full.
Has anyone seen this and can help me with it?
ThanksCopy your domain.sites2 file to the desktop from the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. Control-click on it and select Show Package contents from the contextual menu. Search that package for the droppedImage.png file and copy it to the desktop. Open it with Preview. Do a Save as, select PNG and save as a new file - droppedImage2.png.
Rename that file back to droppedImage.png and move it back into the domain.sites2 package replacing the original png file.
Rename the original domain.sites2 file to domain-original.sites2 and move the edited package from the desktop into the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. Open iWeb and publish to a folder to test. If it publishes OK to a folder publish to your .Mac account. If it doesn't go as hoped you still have the original domain file to fall back on.

Is it possible in KM to change "create new file" dialog?
Is it possible in KM to change "create new file" dialog (Folder -> New -> Text File...) on consecution of my own screens(I mean user inputs information, presses next button, then again inputs information and so on)? And if its possible, could you please tell me how to do this. I'm new to KM as well as to SAP EP...
Hi Aliaksei,
the PDF referred to mainly explains how to configure commands (within layout sets etc), but as far as I understand your question, you want to develop your own screenflows / command. First, I definitely would disadvise a beginner in the EP/KM area to start with such a task...
Anyhow, there is a one-step-screenflow-command tutorial on SDN: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/kmc/implementing flexible ui one-step-screenflow.article
For more steps, you could start decompiling a command class of a command which is more or less similar to your needs (and the underlying classes) to get further insight.
If you really should get that far and have implemented your own command, you just can switch the implementation class if you want to change the logic for an existing command under System Admin - System Config - KM - CM - UI - Commands - UI Commands - <command in question> Java Class setting.
Hope it helps

I cannot create new file (.xslx) inside a folder with right click.
I work with excel 2007 in window 7. Usually I create new files (.xlsx) by right click while I am inside a folder. But recently I have lost this opportunity. Now whenever I open a folder and want to create a new file (either .xlsx or .doc) I right click
there. But there I find neither excel file icon nor word file icon. Power point, Access, Publisher file icons can be found there at that time. I do not know how I have lost the opportunity. Being failed to create files inside a folder now I go to start button
or office button to create a new file.
But I want to have the previous opportunity so that I can create a new file (excel or word) while I am visiting inside a folder. Is it possible? Thank, Nurul Amin.Hi,
I would agree with Repair step provided by Robert, this will rewrite all the registry keys into the computer. Please have a try and let us know the result.
Also, another quick way to rewrite all the registry keys and reregister the product is to run the problematic Office applications with "/regserver" switch:
Press Win + R and type "winword.exe /regserver" or "Excel.exe /regserver" in the blank box, then press
Enter.
You might also want to give this a try.

Can we create new cref.exe
Hi all,
suppose if we modify the source code present in java card framework and then compile them to class files, converting these class files to JCA files , generating mask files from these JCA files, and using these mask files along with C code available to create new cref.exe
Is it possible to do the above steps.
Thanks in advance
