Can't delete System diagnostic reports in Mavericks
Since installing Mavericks I am getting a nightly powerstats_yyy-mm-dd-nnnnnn_xxxxxxxx message. The messages appear to be time stamped midnight. I can get no answer to why they are being generated.
These reports can also not be deleted. If I can't stop them/fix them/delete them will I have to replace the HD when it fills up?
So, it appears that if I right click the powerstats..... on the console page and select reveal in Finder I can delete the files. They are permanently deleted (don't end up in the recycle).
So at least my HD won't fill up waiting for a solution to the powerstat messages.

Hi, I ran the System Diagnostic Report and received an error meesage advising that Reliabilty & Performance Test -->Basic System Check-->System Service Checks-->CHECK FOR STATE OF SYSTEM SERVICE failed. I re-ran the System Diagnostic Report three times and the smae error message keeps turning up. Any suggestions as what I can do? Thank you, Bob
Boblink,
You may like to consider editing the title in your first post in this thread in order that it better represents and informs forum members of the problem you are experiencing. My suggestion would be instead of "System Diagnostic Report", (made me think here's someone with their windows Vista scores), to "K100 Recurrent Failure during System Diagnostic Report". This then states a) which system you have, (first seen in 3rd post), b) you have a problem, and c) with regard to what you are having a problem with. This should hopefully attract more attention to your thread.
Quote from participation rules, Guidelines and Recommendations;
"Title threads appropriately ....snip....
Example of a good thread title: T Thinkpad Blue Screens after suspend . Example of a bad thread title: Stupid computer locks up - worthless piece of junk."
Regarding your other comments, it also states;
"Objectives of Lenovo Discussion Forums
These communities have been created to provide a high quality atmosphere in which users of Lenovo products and services may share experiences and expertise. While members from Lenovo may participate at intervals to engage in the discussions and offer advice and suggestions, this forum is not designed as a dedicated and staffed support channel. You may be lucky and a Lenovo member comes accross your thread and can help, otherwise I'm afraid you're stuck with the rest of us
Bye the way, which OS do you have installed, is it a "factory" or "own" installation?

Error message in system diagnostic reports every 10 seconds
i use imac i7 and latest Lion
i noticed this problem by chance. It is seen in console under SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS REPORTS. I can sit and watch and one occurs every 10 seconds.
i gave up and reinstalled lion via cmd-R and have systematically installed fresh copies of software. I just realized that the computer is doing it again. I know what a pain crash reports are but i have no choice. Most of the report titles begin as: "hasplmd_2011_12_22_(time)_localhost.crash". i will see about 15 of these ,followed by 4 reports with "JAVA" at the begining of the file name. Below is a post of one of the crash reports which ov=ccurs every 10 seconds". desperate for help.
thanks, vinsolo

How delete system app calendar from Maverick OS?
CalendarAgent consumes all available RAM and it causes the MacBook Pro freezing. I disconnected all calendars including iCloud - did not help.
Everithing is OK after I force to quit CalendarAgent using Activity Monitor. In afew minutes CalendarAgent restarts and gradually starts consume more and more memory 500Mb, 1 Gb, 1.7Gb untill the sustem stops working.
My system:
MacBook Pro
13-inch, Mid 2009
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Software OS X 10.9 (13A603)
Can this problem be fixed?
Thanks a lot for help! That app cannot be deleted from the Mac OS X as it issed in conjunction with other apps.
Restarting your Mac can help memory usage.
With 8GB's of RAM installed on your Mac, it shouldn't be a problem. -
Can't delete multiple draft emails with Mavericks
I have the problem of Mail saving multiple drafts of my emails on the server. The threads for users earlier versions of OS X, suggest that the solution is to uncheck the 'Store draft messages on the server' option, in the Mail account preferences. However, I find that since upgrading to Mavericks it isn't possible to do this permanently - I uncheck the box and save the change, and when I next look, the box has been rechecked without my doing anything.
I notice one other person using Mavericks reports the same problem - has anyone any suggestions how to resolve this?I found the answer on another thread - works perfectly - Steve Rhyne has the answer: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23500944#23500944

Where are the diagnostic reports, or why aren't there any?
Hello
I understand that under mavericks, diagnostic reports are supposed to be found either in
/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ (System Diagnostic Reports),
or in
~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports (User Diagnostic Reports).
Unfortunately, even after a number of crashes, they aren't. While in my case, the system DiagnosticReports folder exists, but contains nothing but powerstats, in the user library, not even the folder is there.
So, either they are elsewhere, or they aren't being generated. In the first case, my question would be: Where are the diagnostic reports? In the latter, it would be: Why aren't there any (despite the system crashes)?
(A similar question is to be found here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/24773940#24773940 , but ended with an open question. I'm starting a new thread, because this old one is marked as answered.)
Thanks a lot. These are logs to help if a program crashes, or has other issues.
If there are no issues, no logs are produced.
See: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4063
Diagnostic and usage reports may include the following information:
Details about application or system not responding, application unexpectedly quitting, or kernel panics
Information about events on your computer (for example, whether a certain function, such as waking your computer, was successful or not)
Usage information (for example, data about how you use Apple and third-party software, hardware, and services)

How can I delete or reset bookmark data in iCloud?
How can I delete or re-set bookmark data in iCloud. I have sync'd with blank from safari, then re-loaded safari with new list. Sync to phone works fine.
Now everytime I re-enable backup to iCloud 500 duplicates are made and all old folders restored.
Reset should not be that hard to do. FFs I would be fine with a delete all button on the phone.
Deleting 1000 bookmarks one by one is ridculous.
Thanks for any suggestions.Hi,
If you want to delete the organisation units / positions
go to T-code PP01 and give the specific object, number and date period.
first you have to delete the relationship info type and then object, if object is TCC 1 you can't delete system give error message that TCC 1 will not be deleted. -
How Do I Diagnose System Crash Reports due to iMovie?
Hi,
I have had iMovie crash on me around 12 times in the last few weeks. I can see the system crash reports in Console, but not being a Programmer I have no idea how to translate or interpret them.
Whilst its reassuring that they are reported to Apple, how do I find out what is causing the crash?

I have a Bootcamp partition on my Imac with Mavericks which I can't delete because the Partition Layout in Disk Utility is greyed out and is stuck on 'Current'. What can I do? I was trying to install Windows 8.1 but apparently, this is not yet possible.
I was originally able to restore to my original Mac OSX partition using Boot Camp Assistant but then after entering Disk Utility and re-RAIDing the default RAID 1 to RAID 0 in the BootCamp partition (I suspect this is the cause of the problem but why was it defaulted to RAID 1 in the first place?!!!!), forever afterwards, I couldn't restore the single OSX partition.
Whenever I used BootCamp Assistant my choice to 'Install or remove Windows 7 or later version' was greyed out. Finally I went to Disk Utility to repartition but the Macintosh HD and BootCamp disk partition functions were also greyed out (even if I started up from Recovery mode holding down option, command and 'R' and choosing Disk Utility). BootCamp Assistant gives the error message 'The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition' with additional small script 'The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows', and DU gives the error message 'The full size of the Fusion drive is not available for repartitioning'.
What can I do to fix this problem? How can I make the Partition Layout button active in DU so I can change the partition to all OSX? I'm prepared to wipe off all my data etc to repartition and have backed up all to disk using Time Machine. My problem is fixed now, thank you. It was caused by my changing the Boot Camp partition's 'RAID1' to 'RAID0'. If I hadn't done that, Boot Camp would still have been able to 'restore' back to the one partition. It was fixed with the help of Applecare by using a terminal and typing a command to erase the IP of the Macintosh disk (not the volume) as well as the IP of the Bootcamp partition (if I remember correctly), but then I had to restore the OS and all my applications and data etc which I had previously backed up using Time Machine. I haven't taken note of the exact command terminology used. It would be wise to speak to Applecare about this if possible.
Two words of warning, 1. According to the cause of this problem, it might be wise, after reinstalling the ops system to reinstall all extra applications one by one, manually, in case a similar problem arises again. Then manually copy back all data. Or the Mac user could use the Time Machine backup and then uninstall all the added apps then re-install them one by one manually. 2. Beware as after all this the user might not have the 'Recovery partition'. There is a small recovery partition (a few 100 Mb is size) which comes with all later Macs. After all this is done this tiny partition might not be there anymore and the user might have to re-install Mavericks again to get it back, or just install the upcoming update of Mavericks due in a month or so. -

I have a new Imac with maverick. My wife's e-mail is on two accounts, mine and hers. Can I delete it off of my account without deleting hers?
It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

I have a Vista operating system with 2 users. Somehow I got two diffent libraries for the users. How can I delete the one and then access the correct library on the other users profile?
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
How can I delete a purchase (Mavericks) that has not downloaded from my account?
How can I delete a purchse that has not yet downloaded (Mavericks) from my account? I contacted App Store support and my responder claims to have deleted Mavericks from myaccoount. He didn't; it is still there, under the purchases tab-in the cloud. Thank you.
Hi Dah-veed
Thanks for your response. But it doesn't make sense. Mavericks wouldn't download, and although I decided that I wasn't ready for it yet (incompatibility issues), I would like to be ale to get it (OSX) in the future, and if it shows as 'purchased', I won't be able to 'start over' fresh.
