Can't display MS SQL datetime value in SQL Developer 1.5.1

Hi All,
I try to select the datetime value from MS SQL Server and the SQL Developer display strange value like this:
oracle.sql.TIMESTAMP@f37160
The problem does not exists in the previous version. And any body can help to solve it?
Thanks.

ISSUE CLARIFICATION
====================
Attempting to view records in a table from a MS SQL Server 2005 schema. All fields are ok, except
the datetime fields.
Getting Oracle.sql.date@E4F4012
This worked (actually still works) with SQL Developer 1.2.1. In fact, I see both on my screen and
1.2.1 views the fields fine, 1.5.4 does not.

SOLUTION / ACTION PLAN
=======================
You can use the following workaround if you want SQL Server 2005 DATETIME datatype map to Oracle DATE:
- On the Captured Model, select 'Set Data Mapping'
- Click on Apply in the 'Set Data Map' Window, this will create a record in the Repository
- Open a connection with the Repository database
- Click on Tables
- Click on table MIGR_DATATYPE_TRANSFORM_RULE
- Click on the "Data" Tab
- Sort on column "SOURCE_DATA_TYPE_NAME"
- Look for "DATETIME"
- Change the value of column "TARGET_DATA_TYPE_NAME" from TIMESTAMP to DATE
- Change the value of column "TARGET_SCALE" from 6 to (null)
- Commit the change.
Remark: This workaround is only suitable if the repository contains only 1 captured model, otherwise we need to identify the proper MAP_ID.

  • How can I display more than one value in Calendar ?

    Hi,
    the standard (example) script allows for the display of one value only (as I understood). How can I display two or three values, from the very same table ? Students of mine during an HTMLDB workshop in Leipzig did ask that question.
    Do we have a more detailed docum. on the use of the calendar ?
    pls kindly advise. TIA.
    Bernhard

    my solution:
    Source fo the calendar starts:
    snip>
    declare
    q varchar(32767) := null;
    begin
    q := 'select "ETA", <--- Date Field and concatination of fields as follows:
    "SCHIFFSNAME"|| "ETA_TIME"|| "TERMINAL"||''(br*)'',
    null,
    null,
    null,
    null
    from "#OWNER#"."SCHEDULE"'; . . . . . . .
    snip>
    comment on (br*) - you have to use "<" and ">" instead of "( " and ")" to have the "break/new line effect"

  • How can I display multiple column results of a sql query?

    I'm wanting to display the results of a query selecting from multiple columns, but I can't seem to find an item type that will allow this. I've tried LOV, multiselect, display as text and others. Any ideas on how to do this. Here is my basic query:
    Select ul.meaning,
    rqa.submission_date,
    rqa.location_num
    from
    cfa_rqa_doc_submit_dates rqa,
    cfa_user_lookups ul
    where
    rqa.location_num in (Select location_num from cfa_current_locations_mv
    where operator_person_id = :P1_PERSON_ID and substr(location_num,1,1) = '8')
    and
    ul.lookup_type_id='1269'
    and
    to_char(rqa.submission_date, 'month') = to_char(sysdate, 'month')
    and
    rqa.submission_date >= (SYSDATE-365)
    and ul.lookup_ID= rqa.document_type_id
    ;

    Hi,
    Do you just wish to display the result of the query? If so, you can simply parse it out in HTML.
    You can then choose if you want to use tables or css.
    Multiple column layout in tables are based on <tr> and <td>.
    <tr> is a table row, where <td> is a column.
    All tags should be closed.
    Example:
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td>col1</td><td>col2</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td colspan="2">spans over 2 cols</td>
    </tr>
    </table>If you want to do the same in css:
    (Seems this forum removes the styles!):
    float:left; width:50; << first div and 2 div (col 1 and col 2 style)
    float:left;clear:both; width:100%; << clear both, double width (spans over 2)
    <div>
    <div style="float:left; width:50;">col1</div><div style="float:left;width:50%;">col2</div>
    <div style="float:left;clear:both; width=100%;">Spans over 2 cols</div>
    </div>The div might look more complicated, but if you refrain from styling in the tags them selves, you can define different styles in the .css file.
    You need the clear:both to start a new line with the divs that float.
    I usually run a dedicated "new line" div, without content.. (exception beeing the html-entities version of ' ' (& nbsp ; << without the spaces)).
    eg.:
    <div style="cls"> </div>Parsing out the values from the PL SQL you do like so:
    begin
    declare
       cursor c_search is
    Select ul.meaning,
    rqa.submission_date,
    rqa.location_num
    from
    cfa_rqa_doc_submit_dates rqa,
    cfa_user_lookups ul
    where
    rqa.location_num in (Select location_num from cfa_current_locations_mv
    where operator_person_id = :P1_PERSON_ID and substr(location_num,1,1) = '8')
    and
    ul.lookup_type_id='1269'
    and
    to_char(rqa.submission_date, 'month') = to_char(sysdate, 'month')
    and
    rqa.submission_date >= (SYSDATE-365)
    and ul.lookup_ID= rqa.document_type_id
    begin
    htp.p('<div style="width:80%;">');
    for v_search in c_search loop
    htp.p('<div style="float:left;clear:none;">'||v_search.location_num||'</div>');
    htp.p('<div style="float:left;clear:none;">'||v_search.submission_date||'</div>');
    end loop;
    htp.p('</div>');
      end;
    end;Ps. hope I understood you correctly, also this code is untested.. but I hope it can still help.

  • How can I display more than one value in Calendar ? (2)

    Hi,
    I came across the "Calendar - Activity Monitor by month" in the HTMLDB admin section. This is exactly the view I like to develop asked earlier (the proposal was to work with concatination of fields). Can you provide for the source code used for the a.m. calendar displaying four columns per day ? TIA - Bernhard

    if you're talking about the "Calendar of Views by Day" available in the administration section of any workspace (HTML DB Home >> Administration >> Monitor >> Calendar of Views by Day) or the "Calendar of Page Views" in the instance administration interface (HTML DB Administration >> Monitoring >> Calendar of Page Views), they're both implemented as htmldb calendar regions where the multiple values displayed per day are concatenated together with '
    ' strings between them.
    hope this helps,
    raj

  • How can I display date+time and not the point number in excell?

    Hi everyone,
    Could anybody tell me how I can save date + time to a file, so that  I can display on a diagram(excel) : date+time in (ox) and data (oy)? :
    My program sets in (ox) the point number and not the date+time....( although  date and time are written correctly in the column...)
    Any help would be great,
    Thanks,
    regards,
    Marc

    hi there,
    excel uses 01.01.1900 00:00 as the time offset, LabVIEW uses 01.01.1904 02:00, so you can't display the correct datetime in excel when you write the time as a fractional number of seconds from LabVIEW. you must format the datetime in LabVIEW to a string and write that to the column. use the "Format Date/Time String" - function and for example "%d.%m.%Y %H:%M:%S%3u" as the format string (see the functions help for more examples). you also could format your data to a string using "Format Into String" - function and write the file as a 2D string array. the decimal point you have to use depends on your system and its settings, but you can specify the decimal point in the Format string like "%.;%f" (means fractional number with point as decimal point).

    Short answer, use the apex_util.string_to_table to convert to a table; then you can either iterate through the table to generate a string of names, or accomplish the same with a bulk operation.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21676/apex_util.htm#CHDFEEJD

  • How can I display the correct enum ring value from a parameter file?

    A user will make selections based on the menu ring (there are several of these) and then the values are saved for later use as a parameter (text) file. I have several menu rings which I write out to a parameter (text) file.
    How can I take these text values back into the appropriate location in the menu ring. For example, if I have menuring_value at index 0, menuring_value at index 1, etc. how do I make sure that, when the par (text) file is loaded, the saved values are the ones displayed without erasing the displayed menu ring value and inputting the saved one (from the parameter file). I would like the text value to search the appropriate menu ring, make a match and then display that menu ring value when the parameter file is loaded.

    If I understand your question, attached VI should have solved your doubt
    In this example, Configuration File VIs are used to save & retrieve MenuRings' statuses.
    As this VI is improvised, please further modify it to suit your needs.

  • Mediator - convert XSD datetime to SQL date value

    Fusion 11g, JDev 11.1.1, W server 2008
    Hi there,
    using JDev we've defined a DB adapter (towards an ORACLE schema), which basically serves two operations: INSERT and SELECT. On the DB table we've got a DATE_TIME while on on the other side we've defined a wsdl where the INPUT operation takes as parameter an XSD DATETIME value.
    The values have different structures and so we've started to play with the "Assign Values" function on the Mediator component, unfortunately without any success.
    Right now our expression is the following
    from
    ora:formatDate($in.newEventParam/newEventParam/ns:executionTime,"dd-MMM-yy")
    to
    $out.LogCollection/top:LogCollection/top:Log/top:when
    As first question I would like to ask you if our approach is correct and in that case what's wrong with our expression as we tried to use the same pattern as we use in SQL.
    Second, we performed some tests using the EM console. On test failure it shown a stack trace saying only that there was a problem performing a transformation. That's a bit too less, especially when transformation is done on large amount of values. Is there any way to increase trace level and get further details on which transformation didn't work out?
    Thanks in advance
    Alessandro Ilardo

    Thanks Eric for the link. That helped me to get further details about the issue but unfortunately not enough to locate the cause.
    So here I definitely have an issue with the composite application and perhaps another one on getting a SOAP trace from the Mediator log. Even with the finest log level enabled I couldn't see what the Mediator receives from outside.
    The first problem instead, seams to be a missing SOAP parameter, I assume that's why on the log I see this
    [WEBSERVICE.name: AuditService] [J2EE_APP.name: soa-infra] [composite_instance_id: 40011] Transformation failed[[
    oracle.tip.mediator.infra.exception.MediatorException: ORAMED-01203:[No Part]No part exist with name "newEventParam" in source message.Possible Fix:Review the transformation definition in mplan.Contact Oracle Support if the error cannot be fixed.
         at oracle.tip.mediator.service.transformation.XSLTransformer.getPartDocument(XSLTransformer.java:221)
    [J2EE_APP.name: soa-infra] [composite_instance_id: 40011] Got an exception: java.lang.NullPointerException[[
    oracle.tip.mediator.infra.exception.MediatorException: ORAMED-01201:[Error in transform operation]Error occurred while transforming payload.Possible Fix:Review the XSL or source payload. Either the XSL defined does not match with the payload or payload is invalid.
    In this routing there are basically 2 things that take place, an XSL mapping and an Assign value expression.
    Everything is goes fine until we perform a test from the EM, there we get the error.
    Unless someone has further tips on this issue I am considering to make a call from SOAPUI and place WS Monitor in the middle to make sure if the mistake is in the application or platform.

  • Display as text based on pl/sql - how to return value

    Hi,
    I have a item set as "display as text based on pl/sql". How do I get the PL/SQL anonymous block to return the value of the item?
    My function declares and populates a variable called t_output which is the value I want displayed in the item. The PL/SQL I have written is correct as I have tried it in SQLPlus* with DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE and I get the correct output, but I don't know how to set my item to the value of t_output. I have tried adding ":P73_ITEM := t_output;" into the end of the PL/SQL block.
    Thanks
    Lucy

    Hi Lucy,
    Try this and see.
    make the display as:display as text(saves state)
    source type: sql query
    in source value or expression type
    select func(arguments) from table name;
    Good luck

  • How can I display SQL%ROWCOUNT in the "Process Success Message"

    Hi all;
    I am trying to display SQL%ROWCOUNT in the "Process Success Message" of a custom update Process.
    Any ideas?

    Chris,
    I assume,
    ORDER_ITEM_LOAD.MERGE_INTELLI_LABS ( in_DEPARTMENT_UID );
    is a package / procedure you call to do something. Change the procedure and add an
    out parameter to it, which will get the
    SQL%ROWCOUNT
    value. Then, call this package like this:
    DECLARE
      in_DEPARTMENT_UID NUMBER;
    BEGIN
      in_DEPARTMENT_UID := :P4_DEPARTMENT_UID;
      ORDER_ITEM_LOAD.MERGE_INTELLI_LABS ( in_DEPARTMENT_UID,  :P4_ROW_COUNT );
    END;Denes Kubicek

    Dear Govind,
    You can use BEx based WAD tool to acheive it. Edit the chart in the chart properties dialog, goto settings & edit the property. As you have requested you created 2 tabs, one for chart, another for data, and as and when you do changes in the Analysis grid, the chart values get adjusted.
    P.S. Humbly a personal opinion; I do not recommend WAD; use XCELCIUS instead.
    Best Regards, @{

  • Can I display only negative values in an X-Y graph

    I have my graph set up to run reading two arrays. It is a sine on sine wave and I only want to display the negative results. Is there a way to do this? Is it possible with something like a scan from function? In the end I will be linking this up to an absolute value and having only the negatives be positive, but getting the graph to display only the negative values is the first step.

    You can use the Threshhold 1D Array to filter out all values greater than 0.

  • How to deal with Select Menu when it can NULL or a Value with SQL

    I have a SELECT Menu(:P_55X) with:
    "NULL DISPLAY VALUE" = NULL
    "NULL RETURN VALUE" = NULL
    The Chart query is as follows.
    SELECT NULL LINK,
    START_DATE "FOR_MONTH",
    ROUND(AVG("SLA"),3) "SLA_UPTIME"
    from SLA_TIMES_ZABBIX
    LEFT JOIN (SELECT DISTINCT NODE_NAME,OS_TYPE from CMS.CMS_NODE_OS where remove_dt is NULL) OSNODE on LOWER(SLA_TIMES_ZABBIX.NODE_NAME)=LOWER(OSNODE.NODE_NAME)
    where OS_TYPE=:P55_X group by START_DATE order by START_DATE ASC;
    How can I accout for the (:P55_X) variable being NULL sometimes and not null other times. meaning I can't use the "=" when the values is null because I need a IS NULL there.
    The column in the database either has a value or is NULL.
    Thanks

  • SQL datetime update when record modified???

    I'm have a difficult time figuring out how I can update the
    datetime value
    in previously entered records using the current datetime in
    MSSQL 2005.
    Currently I'm making an inventory webpage using DW CS3,
    ASP.NET 1.1.
    Inventory is added and I've made a page to audit inventory. I
    can scan an
    item, it will be displayed, then I can change quantities or
    locations and
    submit the datagrid changes. The changes all take effect just
    fine, but the
    datetime stamp stays the same.
    I've read that the MSSQL 2005 does not change the to the
    current datetime on
    update, only on insert new record.
    How can I make this happen? Where might I add script for SQL
    such as. Can
    I use the EVENT - On.Update.Command under the datagrid Tag?
    update dbo.PARTS
    set audit_date = getdate()
    where ID = @paramid
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Added the following trigger and works great! Thanks for the

    AS
    update PARTS set audit_date = getdate()
