Can't download Edge Inspect on MacBook Pro, OS X 10.7.5

I am running OS X 10.7.5, but Edge Inspect tells me I'm running an OS that it no longer supports. System Requirements say OS X 10.7 or 10.8. I meet all the other System Requirements as well. Why can't I download Edge Inspect?

1. This is a new installation on this MacBook.
2. I am clicking the "Download" button at https://creative.adobe.com/products/inspect. I can only presume this is the latest version. The exact error message (in the blue button) is "You are running an operating system that Edge Inspect no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements below for a full list of supported platforms."
3. There is no "Edge Inspect" folder in ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/. Although there are plenty of "Adobe" and "com.adobe" files in ~/Library/Preferences/, there is no file there with "inspect" or "edge inspect" in the file name.
4. I have a partitioned drive. There are 60.4 GB free in the first partition and 147.8 GB free in the second partition. I have 8 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM. The processor is a 4-core Intel Core i7. The video card is an NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, on a 1920 x 1080 32-bit display. As far as I can tell, I'm well above all the minimum System Requirements listed at https://creative.adobe.com/products/inspect.
5. This is a company-supplied computer, so I don't know everything that's been installed. Having said that, I am not aware of any anti-virus software running. I don't see anything in the Dock, or in the Applications folder. I also don't recognize anything anti-virusy in the Activity Monitor's list of processes. The Firewall in Preferences:Security & Privacy is turned off.
I do sometimes have Charles Web Proxy running, which interferes with email connectivity. But when I turn off Charles, I still am unable to download Edge Inspect.

    Go to a Office type store or online and buy a copy of Windows  7 Home Basic, Home or Pro  (whatever) and stick the 64bit DVD into the computer.
    You'll have to first learn about Bootcamp  if your going to want to dual boot, it's complex and a hassle, but gives full hardware performance.

    Another way is to first install VMFusion, Parallels or VirtualBox and then install Windows into that, Windows runs like a file in a window on OS X. You can run Windows programs in that, but it's not as powerful as BootCamp method, but more convenient for most normal (non-hardware taxing) programs.

    FWIW, iWork as such is no longer available; it is now separate applications: Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
    Do you have the older (via install DVD) iWork 09 version installed? Then the new versions should show up in Updates (mac app store).

    If it was purchased on the App Store, then yes. But it will require the same Apple ID used to purchase it in order to re-download it onto your computer. The re-download is free.

    Please try the following steps on your Macbook:-
    1)Sign out of the creative cloud by expanding the top right gear like symbol and then choose Preferences-->Account-->Sign out.
    2)Open finder. Choose Go-->Go to folder.
    3) Copy & Paste ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
    4)Rename the file called opm.db to opm.dbold
    5)Sign in back to creative cloud and reelaunch Muse.

    If by downloads you mean applications that run on the iPad, then the answer is no because the iPad and and MacBook have two very different operating system and an application file that will run on one will not run on the other (although some software developers have separate and similar versions for each).
    If you don't mean applications then reply with some more detail about what type of download you are asking about.

    If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up. 
    You should have a look in:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/Extensions
    You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

    If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
    Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded
    Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

    Sounds like the the files you've downloaded are for a peecee. Do they have the extension ".exe."? If so, the won't run on your compuer unless you install an emulator program like Parallels or VM Fusionware. YOu can also use BootCamp to partition your drive and install a legal copy of Windows there.
    The two things you  are trying to use are both noted for making Macs work poorly. Just about any commercial  "security" software bogs doem the system so badly that you think you are using a 20- uear-old computer.
    Some torrent apps seem to cause problems, and the files available as torrents can contain malware. Be very, very careful.

    Are you using mavericks (os x 10.9) and Safari?
    You only need your serial for the actual installation of pse 9, not just to download it.
    When i hit that download button using safari, the download icon jumps across the screen down to the Downloads folder.
    If you look at the Downloads folder in the dock or click on the top right of the safari window, do you see any indication that the download is happening?
