Can't download purchased music on iphone 5

I recently downloaded some albums onto my PC and when I go on my phone to download them to my iphone 5 all it shows is a purchased(faded) and does nothing when I push the button to download the album to my phone.  How can I get the purchased albums onto my iphone without having to sync my music as I the new computer i'm using doesn't have any of the music and I will lose it all.

In iTunes app:
More tab on bottom - Purchased - Music - Not on This iPhone
You will need to be on wifi unless you have Use Cellular Data selected under iTunes & App Stores in Settings.

  • Can't download purchased music to video iPod

I can't download purchased music and videos to my new 30GB video iPod.
When I try to copy videos or purchased I get an error "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" and iTunes quits after I close the dialog.
I ran the iPod Updater 2006-01-10 and Restored my iPod. I can download mp3s and a video I created in QT Pro but not purchased music or videos.
I uninstalled all previous iPodSetup installations, iTunes, QuickTime, rebooted and deleted the iTunes prefs file at:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info\SC Info.sidb
I reinstalled iPod Updater 2006-01-10 and iTunes 6.0.2 and rebooted.
    The problem remains.

The problem is on my home computer. I am able to download the same purchased music from my work computer. I've not tried downloading it from my home computer while logged in as a different user. I'll try that tonight. The error message can be viewed at http://knouse.org/images/ituneserror.jpg

  • Can I download Purchased music from my iPhone to my wife's using my user id in her iPhone and then login back with her id?

We both have different ids, I want to download the songs I've purchased in my iPhone using my id to her iPhone. I was thinking to login using my id into her iTunes in her phone and download them and then re-login using her's. Does that work? Does that keep all the songs once I re-login using her's?
    Thanks in advance!

You can use home share on the pc.
iTunes: Setting up Home Sharing on your computer

  • Can't download purchased music from iTunes from an authorized Mac

I went from a PC to a MacBook Pro in September. When I try to play a particular album, it's got that exclamation point after all the songs on it. After doing a lot of research, I think this happened when I was still using my PC. So what I moved to my Mac didn't include this album (and lots of other songs, but this was a fairly recent purchase on my PC). And my backups to Mozy don't have the missing music either. When I go to Purchased in Store, the downloaded is greyed out and I can't download it again to my Mac. My Mac is authorized as one of the 5 allowed. This album is on my iPad, but I've looked everywhere and can't figure out how to sync my iPad to my MacBook as opposed to Mac to iPad. Any suggestions? I'm pretty frustrated. I have lots of missing songs and from looking for my answer here, I see it's a common problem. But I should be able to download it again to my Mac if it's authorized, right? Thanks!

Bumping for a reply.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Can't download purchased music.

I purchased an album a few days ago and am unable to download the songs. I get an error that reads "There was a problem downloading. An unknown error occurred(-50). Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again."
    Network is active.
Checked that properties for itunes are set to enable my downloading purchsed music (and I have done it hudreds of times before).
Even moved the whole library as that was recommended on one apple page.
E-mailed Apple support and have not received a response. Surprising as I won't purchase more music until I get this resolved.
    Help!
    thanks

I´ve got exactly the same problem as Adrian. Suprised that iTunes Musicstore doesn´t respond to this problem. Is this a common problem? Anyone knows what to do?
    Many thanks!

  • I can't download purchased music from iTunes to my PC

All of my music is gone from my PC.  I recently did an iPad backup, and for whatever reason, the music is gone from the PC.
The music is still accessible on my iPad.
In the iTunes store, when I go to Purchased Music and click on the All tab, all of the songs I have purchased are there, but there isn't a cloud download button available for the songs.
How do I get the songs back on my PC?

  • Can't download purchased music - no option available on Purchased link

    Hi All,
I've just bought a new mac.  I started to move files across from my Windows PC via memory stick.  Long story short i've managed to delete some of my purchased content.  I managed to recover some of the files directly from my ipod, but others I can't get hold of.  I have looked them up on the itunes store and it says that those tracks are already purchased, so won't give me the option to download again.  Most help suggestions point me towards the Purchased link in the itunes store - however all I can see is Apps and Books - there is no Music option.
Can anyone advise how I can recover these lost purchases???

    You only get one download.
Unless you are in the U.S.  Then you can use the recently released icloud beta version.
    Are you in  the U.S.?

  • Trying to download purchased music to iPhone.  2 of 20 songs won't load because they "cannot be converted."

I purchased an album with 20 songs today on iTunes.  I tried to transfer it to my iPhone today via a USB cable.  It downloaded 18 songs, but two of them wouldn't go across because they "cannot be converted."  The files are all AAC, so I'm not sure what to do.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • Can not download purchased music.

I purchased two songs with an itunes gift card. When I went to download them it did not work. As I can see from other posts I am not the only person with this problem, that makes me wonder. I do not like itunes taking money from me then not letting me have the song. I do not appreciate owning a song that I can not listen to. It is extremly frustrating and I need help. I understand that people are probalbly tired of answering this subject of help, but I ask you to please explain to me why this is not working properly.

I did a search on "50" in the Search Discussions and this looks like it might help

  • Can't download my music to iphone with ios 5 and itunes 10

Just got my iPhone 4, upgraded my itunes to latest.  Itunes show the music but it gives me an error when trying to syc to iphone.  "Some of the items to the itunes library iwere not copied to the iphone because they could not be found"

That is not really a error. What that is saying is that itunes cant find the file to sync over to your iPhone.
Yes you see it in your libary but the song is gone. As in if the song was located in C://Computer/Music. Then it was moved to a different location iTunes cant find it. Find the song and put it back. That is all you have to do or redownload it.

  • How do I set up my new Macbook Pro to associate with my Apple ID so I can download purchased music?

How do I set up my new Macbook Pro to associate with my Apple ID so I can download purchased music?
Under 'Manage Devices' it only lists my iPhone and iMac. I've bought stuff on my new Macbook Pro using my Apple ID, but I can't find music I previously purchased using the iMac.

Oh, wait, I've found it. Silly me!
