Can't find all my purchases from iTunes on Macbook Pro

My iTunes on my Macbook Pro does not contain my full library of Music, Movies and TV Shows which I have purchased over the years.
I have just purchased a brand new Macbook Pro. All my purchases were available, then suddenly one day they had disappeared. When they dissapeard, I downloaded my available purchases to restore my library on my Macbook, however they are not all there, bearing in mind iTunes notifies me that there are no more purchases available to download, but I know there are still loads more.
Strange thing is, my full library is available on my iPhone and iPad.
Any suggestions?

  • Can't find my previous purchases from iTunes

I recently had to re-install my iPhone after deactivating it by a mistake. And now I have all the receipts from iTunes of my purchases (in my iCloud inbox) but I can't find them in my libraries on my iPhone and on iTunes installed on the PC.
Where can I find my purchases? There's few things more frustrating than using more money on already purchased music.

    iTunes>Right Sidebar>Quick Links>Purchased. On your phone: App Store>Updares>Purchased...iTunes>More>Purchased.

  • My kid`s been using my apple ID/account for years, but now that he`s older it`s time he got his own. Is there any way to either make a twin account so he doesn`t lose all his purchases from iTunes/AppStore when getting his own account?

My kid`s been using my apple ID/account for years, but now that he`s older it`s time he got his own. Is there any way to either make a twin account so he doesn`t lose all his purchases from iTunes/AppStore or does he have to start from scratch? They payment can still be from my card/account, that`s not the problem, but facetime, imessage etc. is a available on both mine and his apple products (I know you can check what email/phone number we can be reached at, but it`s just a click and he see my messages and I his). It`s the privacy problem that is the most important.

He needs to have his own account, the sooner the better.
As for content, non-protected songs can simply be copied to his own new library, and he can use them.  As for protected content and apps, anything he still wants will have to be replaced.

There's nothing at the Apple Store. Whatever you need you will have to get elsewhere. You can download Mountain Lion if you have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and an Apple ID. See:
Upgrading to Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will receive physical media - DVD - by mail.
Third-party sources for Snow Leopard are:
    Snow Leopard from Amazon.com
    Snow Leopard from eBay
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
Before upgrading check that you computer meets the minimum requirements:
    Snow Leopard General requirements
      1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
      2. 1GB of memory
      3. 5GB of available disk space
      4. DVD drive for installation
      5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may
          apply.
      6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
First, you need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 as stated above.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Before upgrading check that you computer meets the minimum requirements:
    Lion System Requirements
      1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or
          Xeon processor
      2. 2GB of memory
      3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
      4. 7GB of available space
      5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
Be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Read the technical specifications.
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
      1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
      2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
      3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
      4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
      5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
      6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
      7. Xserve (Early 2009)
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps - App compatibility and feature support for OS X & iOS.
Am I eligible for the free upgrade?
See Apple - Free OS X Mountain Lion upgrade Program.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.

  • I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extrem.  How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptops hard drive??

I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extreme (2 TB drive plugged into the USB port).  I see the drive on my laptop and I can add and delete files no problem.  How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptop's hard drive?  I don't have enough space to do that.

How did you move the music to the external drive?  What exactly is on the drive?  The entire iTunes folder or only music?  If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier.  If you copied only music and did so by dragging it there then you need to delete it again and consolidate/organize it there instead so iTunes tracks the move.  iTunes 12 for Mac: Change where your iTunes files are stored - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19507

You should be able to.  As long as you are signed in to the same AppleID that has an available balance.  The services are linked.

You should also ask this in the MacBook Pro forum. This is the forum for the 13” white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

  • How can I get music (not purchased from iTunes) and photos from my iPad onto my MacBook?

I just recently had my hard drive replaced and lost all of my music and photos from it. I have all of my music and photos backed up onto my iPad and iPhone via iCloud.
I was able to download all of my purchased music from iTunes, back onto my MacBook. The problem is, how do I get the other music and photos from my iPad, back onto my MacBook?

Is there any possible way to backup music that I did not purchase from iTunes on to iCloud?
    No.
... if I happened to break my iPad, or if something happened to my Laptop.
If you like your music library, back up your laptop.
If you lose or break your iPad, you can sync your iTunes music library to a brand new one. You will lose nothing.
If you lose your laptop, or it crashes, or becomes virus-infested, you can restore your iTunes music library from your backup. You will lose nothing. Without a backup though, your music resides only on the iPad, and extracting it will require the assistance of third party (paid) utilities. Worse, there is no guarantee they will continue to function after some future iOS upgrade, since the iPad is not designed to work that way.
There are dozens of questions every day from people who lost their iTunes music when their laptop crashed. Your laptop will crash - it's only a question of when.

  • Why can't I read books purchased from itunes on my macbook pro?

I find it very upsetting that books purchased from itunes on a Macbook pro can not be read on a Macbook Pro.

Many MacBook Pro users are professional authors, reseachers, teachers, ... and we need to manage large libraries of copy protected digital material (journals, book collections, protected imagery, ...) , which we directly reference and include (with citations) in our writing and analyses.
Laptops and desktops are the only viable options in terms of screen real estate (multiple monitors needed), application availability (image analytics, serious statistics, real 2D and 3D modeling, ...) high speed storage attachment (the cloud can't handle many needs) and processing horse power. iPads and iPhones are a few generations away from being adequate for many such activities, which Apple had traditionally supported.
This particular oversight by the  folks behind the Apple iTunes bookstore business, stands in stark contrast to what used to be our vision of the premier professional creative platfom. I find this deeply dissappointing and inconsiderate of our long term investment in apple technologies.
Asking folks to simply abandon their investment in copy protected ebook material, purchased on iTunes, is just wrong.

  • How can I can ringtones and music I purchased from itune back on my iPhone5,please help

how can I get back music and ringtones I purchased from itune back on my iPhone 5

What you can try to do is install an extension such as Ad-Block Plus, [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus], which will block many different forms of advertising.
Also, update your Firefox to version 12, and update your plugins to make sure you stay on top of security threats :) [http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/].
If that fails to work, there is a possibility you might be infected with viruses, try Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]
Download and Run TDSSKiller [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363]
Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials] (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)
Double check for all Windows Updates.
