Can't find my rented films om apple tv

I'm rented two movies from iTunes, but now none of them show up when i Search for them. When I try to rent the same movies again I'm told that I've already rented them and that I can find them if i search for rented objects..... They don't show up. Actually nothing shows up.

It seems to be a common problem many Apple TV users are experiencing. I was able to restore to factory settings, update software and reconfigure the Apple TV settings,and then could view one program. However, the solve is only temporary and it is a lengthy process. I'm hoping Apple support can provide a permanent solve soon.

When you rent a movie from iTunes on your computer, then you can play it on your computer or sync it to your iPhone or iPad. For your Apple TV, you will need to find it by using Home Sharing and not looking for it in the Movies section. If you go to the Computers section on the Home Screen and follow the onscreen instructions to set it up, then you should be able to find the rental and watch it on your Apple TV. It sounds like you’re concerned because you don’t see your rentals in iTunes, but they appear to have downloaded. Take a look at the article below and check the Rentals tab in iTunes on your MacBook.

Find movies you rented previously
Find your movie on the device you used to rent it.
On a Mac or PC: Go to the Rentals tab in the Movies section of the iTunes Library.
On an iOS device: Go to the Rental tab of the Videos app.
Using Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation): Look in the top shelf of the main menu.

Thanks for the suggestion Limnos but you're right that's not the answer...
iTunes Match allows 25,000 songs so I don't think apple see 20,000 as outside the design parameters.
Anyway I'll wait in hope that someone can offer a solution to the path that Finder uses for each different connection as that's where the answer lies, that or a way to change the path of the server in iTuens, but all the forums I have looked at suggest you can't do that?

Reset the printing system:

- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.

- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it."

Ive had to reboot my Apple TV before I had the option to enable iTunes Match but it did not see my music library. I tried a second reboot and it still says my music library is empty. The only place that you can get an Apple battery is from Apple. All of the counterfeiter's will claim that they have an OEM battery for the simple reason so that they can fool you in purchasing from them.
At least from OWC you know exactly what you will be purchasing and they have a one year warranty. I have purchased two from them, one for my 2006 MBP and one for my 2010 MBP.

This thread is from over a year ago. Also, that only applies if you rented via your computer. Hence the 'computers' icon. It is accessing your computers iTunes library via home sharing, not the cloud. Rentals made on other devices can only be viewed on that device.
