Can't get rid of NCH toolbar - went to add-ons, but nothing to uninstall NCH bar

NCH toolbar installed covertly with some NCH software. I subsequently deleted software, but toolbar remained and is not visible in my install/uninstall. Re-installed FireFox, but NCH toolbar remained. I want it GONE! Followed FireFox troubleshooting instructions about going into add-ons in toolbar, but no sign of any place to uninstall NCH toolbar. Over 300 people have had this problem, according to your records.

'browse to save' goes by a few names apparently-
mine called itself Vaudix (uninstalled it and problem is gone)
other names include Yontoo apparently

Although FireWire and USB connections will allow multiple iPod devices to be connected to the computer at the same time, iTunes for Windows works best with only one iPod connected at a time. If you plan to connect multiple iPod devices to the same computer, eject any iPod devices that you are not using from iTunes.

Win 7. Downloade and later uninstalled Winamp. Can't get rid of Winamp Toolbar.

Fairly new basic desktop with Win7. I downloaded Winamp to compare - didn't like it and uninstalled it. Winamp installed a toolbar (I HATE AOL) that usually pops up when I start Firefox. Can't get rid of it.

I can't get rid of somoto toolbar search and default homepage. Somoto doesnt appear in the list of searching and also not as installed software in my computer.

Please do the following.

#Double click it and remove whatever's in there and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q= and then click OK.

The URL to add in "keyword.URL" becomes a link in this post, so right click it and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type the whole thing.

Did you install the printer through a wireless or USB connection ? Did you use the CD that came with it or did you download it from the hp website ? You may try to do a hard reset and power the printer off and then back on and see if that helps. Let us know where you are on this if you still need help.

Has anyone had this problem? I have a wrong nickname on one of my email addresses and I can't get rid of it. Been into my contacts but nothing will stop it from putting the nickname in. Anyone help???

Hi Matt, I'm not really clear on what happened to your Firefox. You have an unwanted toolbar in Firefox?
Usually a new toolbar is created and maintained by an extension (a kind of add-on). Please visit the Add-ons page and review the extensions. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if you do not recognize an extension click Disable, and if you want it gone, click Remove. If in doubt, disable.
''If the Remove button is missing, then usually the extension was added by an installer that runs outside Firefox. More on that below.''
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
For system-installed extensions, try the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Click the "Installed On" column heading to sort by installation date so you can see what was recently added. You may find some unexpected tag-alongs that can be removed without losing the programs you actually want.

Vertical lines appear in every photo taken w my 3 yr old Power Shot A470.Can't get rid of them.Help?

in the midst of photo shoot yesterday, this vertical line pattern appeared in every photo and can't get rid of it. Triple checked all my settings, nothing's changed about how I take my photos.
Through the viewfinder when I prefocus I see the result of what my photo should look like after the shot, but after I take it, the shot is 50% lighter, with a horrible pattern of lines. Has my camera totally died? Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I cannot take photos anymore with this all time favorite camera of mine

First try a complete reset if possible, I can't see it being the memory card but if you have a spare one try that.
One cause could be the sensor or the display itself, I've had faulty ribbon cables going to the display on TV sets causing similar problems.
I take it they are in the same place on every shot. What does a good photo show up like, i.e., one prior to this fault showing? This would point to the sensor or display, since the photo was taken previous to the fault it 'would' eliminate the sensor as this is only used when taking photos and not when 'viewing'.
Pity you couldn't post a sample as it *may* help.

Firefox 20 changed from the old Download Manager to a new Download Panel. You can find a complete write-up here: [[Find and manage downloaded files]].
I suggest keeping that arrow around since it provides handy notifications. You can use the Customize feature to drag it down to the add-on bar where it won't take up as much space. To start customizing:
* right-click a blank area of the tab bar > Customize
* tap the Alt key > View menu > Toolbars > Customize
If you really don't need it, just drag it to the Customize dialog. You can always come back for it later if you like.

If you remove the names then you may have a problem with organizing or searching for bookmarks. 
If you do not want to use the extension then you can achieve the same effect with code in userChrome.css

Yahoo toolbar appeared without my consent. Can't get rid of it. Does not appear in list of add-ons or in list of programs installed for uninstall. (Win7; FFx5) Please help me delete this annoyance.)

I was prompted to update Java. I got a YAHOO toolbar which I did and do not want. I can't get rid of it. It does not appear on the Add-on list, not in the programs list (to uninstall). Can't find anything with Yahoo in the name. I do not want to use View, because it keeps coming back into view without my consent -- I want it gone permanently.
The uninstall directions in Yahoo help call for click on pencil tool (which tool is not found on this toolbar). Firefox instructions say go to Add-on list, but the Yahoo bar is not there. There are several Java add-ons, but I don't know what they are and what happens if they are uninstalled.

Perhaps it is disguised as something else. If so please tell me what to uninstall.

Try RIGHT clicking on different areas of the toolbars on Firefox, mainly try right clicking on/around the url bar & forward/back navigation buttons. When you get the correct spot if will give you a menu with the toolbars available (whether or not they're active) and a couple other options. Just uncheck the Yahoo one & you should be all set.
As you say though it may be some other bar disguised as a yahoo bar. Any chance you can get a screen shot of it & post it here?
