Can't inform friends about publication of album to mobile me gallery

I am a mobileme subscriber. Mobileme is now being phased out in favour of iCloud.
I have tried to publish an album to Mobileme from iPhoto. The arrow button enabling me to view the album on the web does not work. Nor does the 'tell a friend' button by which I should be able to email a link to the gallery.
Has anyone any advice? Is this an issue relating to the transition to iCloud? I followed the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2431, which are what I am used to doing.
I can't access the gallery on my mobile me page; it just gives me these instructions: https://www.me.com/move/, which are about the transition to iCloud.
I am using iLife11, not 9, as indicated below.

Is this just not possible?
Do I have to re-create a new MobileMe gallery every time I want to add photos?
Maybe someone wrote a script?

... well you answered your own queston. there is no reporting system..Apple doesn't track stolen equipment.. perhaps you bought Lojackforlaptops or turned on Find my Mac.. if you are at a college, you might want to ask your IT department if they can look for your IT via Mac's "MAC" address if you know it.

Can't copy images from smart albums to mobile me gallery

I'm rather new to Aperture ... so my question might be a trivial one. I'm having trouble to drag images from a smart album to a Mobile Me album. The images simply do not end up in the gallery. I can, however, create a new gallery from a selection in a smart album, and I can drag images from their regular albums to the Mobile me gallery. Is this a restriction in Aperture 2.1.4?

Sharing Albums via Mobile Me Gallery

So I have an album of holiday pics to share with my girlfriend's parents. I select the shots, create the album, publish it on MobileMe (protected and specific to her name and password) and share it with her so she can approve the shots before I let her parents know.
She looks and is fine with the album, this is where things start to get a bit more complex. I create a new username and password for her Dad but find I cannot specify the album to be viewable by both my girlfriend and by him. So I delete her off totally and the only specified person now is her Dad. I change settings for the album via the Info pane to him, click Publish but find the Album Viewable drop down defaults everytime back to Everyone.
Equally, when I click Tell A Friend it generates the Greetings box with the Album name, the address and the name and password details for my girlfriend. Which it shouldn't because she does not exist on my contacts for this anymore.
Any suggestions?

HT5129 migrating photo albums from mobile me

Every time I open iPhoto (v 9.3) it tells me it is moving the albums from mobile me gallery to my library and it then gets stuck and I am unable to do anything in iPhoto. I don't need to have these albums moved as I already have copies, how can I get out of this?

Click on the learn more button - go back to iPhoto and in the iPhoto preferences delete all references to MM do the same in the system preferences

Once you create a Mobile Me gallery with the photos in it (using iPhoto) you can send your friends a link - gallery.me.com/yourMMeUsername - from there they can see all your galleries, they should pick the one you want them to view.

Okay, folks, after a 3 1/2 hour phone call with a (very patient) telephone support person at Blackberry, here's what I learned.
You can check your USB drivers this way:
Plug in your phone into your USB drive. Assuming your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
Go into the Device Manager on your computer (control panel)
Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers item on the bottom of the list
Right-click on BlackBerry Smartphone and choose Properties
Click on the Driver tab
Click on the Driver Details button
You should see one driver. I saw two. The one the BlackBerry likes is the RimUsb one.
So here's what NOT to do: We tossed the entire driver that was the "extra". This effectively made using my mouse and keyboard impossible, as they are USB, and sent my poor husband into the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and then a mouse) with the old fashioned kind of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't do that.
Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you -- this modifies the Registry so better do a system backup with that backup and restore if you're nervous about this sort of thing):
From the start menu, choose run, and type regedit to get into the Registry editor.
Follow this file path: Computer, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Class
Click on: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
If there's an item on the right called "UpperFilters", delete it. (see pictures)

I work at a Walgreens and saw a poster saying something about Walgreens employees get some sort of discount on Apple products. Can anyone inform me of what this is?

My friend should be able to sync her iPad and iPod so that she can stream information between the two devices and her computer. Her brothers were right next to her and did the same thing with there devices and same settings and it worked for them.

What would have went wrong because she should have been able to sync all three together at the same time? Her I pad is new so restoring may be an option to make sure her settings are correct for this process. She doesn't use iCloud so she backs her information up to her computer.

There are mobile device management solutions that can do this, including in Apple's OS X Server system, but most parents generally find that setting this up is more work than it's worth. If you're interested, though, there are a couple that at least purport to be free (I don't know if there are any hidden "gotchas"):

I don't think any, however, allow you to see current activity or browser history. iOS doesn't expose those to access from MDM solutions, to the best of my knowledge.

iTunes will group songs into an album when:
All songs have the same value for the Album and Artist field, or
All songs have the same value for the Album and Album Artist field
All songs have the same value for the Albumfield and the Part of a Compilation flag is checked.
If you want to group all the songs by one artist into a single "album" you can do so by following one of these rules. However, it may be more useful to create Playlists to group music like this and retain the original release information. One Smart Playlist for each artist you're interested in would meet this need without over-writing information about the source albums.

Just downloaded the newest version of software and I can't even sort by song or album??

Am I missing something?? I can no longer sort by song alpha or group albums. It's extremely difficult to search if I don't know the exact song title. Help!!!

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want. Which view, exactly, are you trying to use? Almost certainly, you can do what you want...
In iTunes 11, I have the sidebar showing ('cos I prefer it), and :
although I have ringed Composers, this view of my Library is sorted by Song title.
And "group albums" by ...
title?
or artist?
If you can be more specific about your requirements, then perhaps we can give you better help.

Since I updated to iOS 4.2. I can't see the pictures of the albums

I've got an iPod touch. When I select the option "albums", and I can see the list with all my albums, no problem, I can see the covers. But, if I select one of them, before, I used to be able to see the cover of the album on the top left corner, with the tracklist below, and the information of the album above. Since I updated to 4.2. covers won't appear on that screen.
Anybody's got the same problem? Any solutions?

You're not alone! I have the same problem with mine too, ever since updating to 4.2. The artwork appears for a few albums, but for majority of my albums it doesn't.
I just went through my iTunes and had it sort my songs by date added. Anything that I had added since 6/22/10 the artwork appears fine; everything before that is missing. I looked up the release dates of all the OS's for iPod touch, and sure enough iOS 4.0 was released 6/21/10. So basically all artwork pre-4.0 is missing.
Pretty weird, hopefully Apple resolves this and some of the other issues with 4.2.
