Can't login OS X Tiger HELP. Won't take my password on login

I am getting ready to buy my new MacBookPro next week and wanted to give my old Powerbook Ti to my sister. But she didnt want to get the login screen everytime just want to power up and start working. So after going threw a few forums I deleted the root netuser. Know when it boots it will not take my user name and password I can't login. Is there a default admin password or maybe switch back to my org password? I do not want to reinstall the OS because I have alot of pictures and mp3 that I need to tranf over to my new mac when I get it. I need HELP to get in my mac

How did you delete the user account? How many accounts did you have? The "Accounts" System Preference should not have let you delete the last administrator account. If you still have an administrator account, you can reset its p[password by booting from the Tiger install disk. After setting language, look in the menus for password resetting.

It sounds like you have the Find my iphone Activation lock for sure. Go to www.icloud.com/find and see if you put in that Apple ID that is coming up and yoru password to see if you are able to sign into the account that way to turn it off. If you are unable to, you will have to contact AppleCare by phone (chat cannot handle account lock outs or forgotten password due to not being able to verify your identity) and see if they can reset it. And are you sure the Apple ID that is coming up yours?

I can navigate to the pico prompt in terminal ... but when it asks for pw, I try to type, the cursor just blinks, doesn't move, nothing.
But if there's another way to edit this file, I'll try.
Just want to uncomment the line about php5 module.

I'm used to vi. You use control keys to navigate and make changes. It has two modes, command and insert. In command mode, to delete the '#' character, for example, move the cursor to '#' and type 'x' to delete it. Type 'i' to enter insert mode and add new text. Press 'esc' to go back to command mode.

Don't try that. Many tools will rightfully refuse to even launch if they detect that their administrative config files have been incorrectly modified.

There is, it is "sudo". Only an admin user has the ability to use sudo to gain root permissions.

My e-mail address was "hacked into" and a bogus email sent in my name---now I can't access my email because it won't accept my password.

The email was sent at approx. 6:45 a.m. Tuesday to everyone in my address book. It stated that I was in Wales and had been mugged---all my cash, credit cards, and cell phone taken. My flight was supposed to leave in 6 hours, but the hotel wouldn't let me leave until I paid my bill. The email didn't give any contact information---so I'm assuming it was a "Trojan horse" to give a virus to everyone on my address list.
Now, I can't open my email because it won't accept my usual password. Attempts to change my password have been unsuccessful. It says that I have not been properly identified to change my password.

You will need to contact the customer services for the email service that was hacked and try to convince them that your account has been hacked.

Your password for your Apple ID is not the same as the passcode for the screen lock on your iPad unless you set it that way deliberately, enabling the extra-long passcodes (the standard is a four-digit number). If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the iPod from the computer to which the iPod is synced. For information and instructions, see:

Apple Mail won't take Gmail password

Okay, this is driving me insane...
New MacBook Pro, mail won't take my Gmail password, changed password, no avail. Fine, I'll use the web based. New iPhone 5. Mail won't take password. Grrr. Any help? There were a couple of posts about application specific passwords and clearing captcha, but I'm not running a google app account.

Adobe cs 5.5 installer won't take my password adobe

I just updated the PC to a new version of windows and reformatted. I did uninstall adobe first (or whatever you call it). But now it doesn't want to re register, it won't accept the password even though it works on the website. I have NO intention of upgrading since I don't use the PC enough to be worth it. How do I reregister it?

there's no password needed to install adobe cs 5.5 programs on a windows computer. during installation you should be prompted for your serial number, but nothing else is required to install and activate.

Can login to Xmarks on Mac, 10.6.4, no problem, but running parallels and windows XP and Firefox on that, I can't login to Xmarks since it won't accept my password, and I'm asking who to contact to fix this problem with Xmarks?

I'm trying to run Firefox on a Mac with Parallels and Windows XP. I can use Firefox, that's fine, what I can't do is sync my bookmarks. They are all synced on both macs, and my old PC, a really slow Dell L110, thus trying to use Parellels. Is there any way to contact someone who can look at why my log in to Xmarks won't work on Parallels? For the last 4 months I can not send any mail from my mac mail account. It will receive but not send. I have to use my Yahoo or Gmail account to send anything. When I forward or try to send a new email, a box wants my password. IT won't take my password.

A box comes up after I try and send an email wanting my password. I put the password in, the box disappers, then shows up again empty wanting my password. The same password is used to access Apple but Mac Mail will not accept it. It just stop sending about four months ago.

It is possible that you are in a transition period of time when Apple is shutting down the mobileME website. In fact, Mobileme.com is closed at this moment. I can see where you might be receiving email traffic and yet being unable to send email out using the mobileme/ mac dot com emaill address. Check this article out from Gigaom.

Take your computer to get the keyboard replaced, your lucky it didn't trigger the moisture sensor and brick your machine, so your chances of the machine working well after the keyboard is replaced is likely very good.
As long as the main keyboard is sending a caps lock signal, it's not going to work even if you get in.
If you need to remove files off the internal drive, use a Firewire cable (800 to 400 adpater may be needed) and hold T to boot the problem Mac into Firewire Target Disk Mode and connect the cable to another Mac, the hard drive will appear on the desktop which you can then remove/erase files.

Sign in to icoud won't take new password and can't get to settings

The sign in to icloud box is coming up on my IPAD. I went into myapple id online and changed my password for the icloud account. It will not take the new password on my ipad and when I get the option to reset, it tells me to turn off airplane mode or connect to WIFI, but i can't get to settings to do anything. I tried a hard reset and the password window just came back up.
