Can't open group contact in contact manager (All (+11) for example
I keep lists of email addresses under a title (All, for example) in contact manager, and when sending a group e-mail I simply click on the All heading which in the past has opened up the list, which I can then copy and paste into a To: or Bcc: box. Recently this tactic has failed to open the list to copying or editing. Fix available? Temporary glitch? It persists whether I am using my laptop or a new desktop running Windows 7 and Firefox 8.

Lanny here are the startup key sequences on wired keyboards to know for future reference:
SHIFT - safe boot.
command-S single user mode to run fsck
command-R to run a recovery boot.
command-option-P-R to reset the PRAM on Macs younger than 4 years, or whose PRAM battery is younger.
command-option-O-F to boot into open firmware.
D key to boot hardware test on an Intel Mac - for pre-July 20, 2011 Macs, this means having the original installer discs.
Option key - Startup Manager.
Option = Alt key on Windows keyboards.
Command key may be Windows key on Windows keyboards, or cloverleaf or Apple logo key on Apple keyboards.

hello apple guys, after installing OS X Mavericks, i can't open app store, reminders, contacts, mail(crash), maps, Image Capture, and other apps that comes with Mavericks OS, how i can solve this problem?
So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac". I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

One contains the names of all subdirectories the other the names of all files. If you want to sort them by name use the array sort function. If you want to sort them by another attribute use the File/Directory Info function to get more data. Use a cluster which contains the attribut to sort and the original index of the name. Then sort this array.

It could be just an issue with the gmail server. I don't know what settings can be made for attatchments there. I generally leave those messages with large attatchments alone and view them on the computer. I was finding that certain large files like .wmv would sometimes take 5 to 10 minutes to open on the iPad.
Yes it's aggrivating, but I don't have that answer either. -

But still I have the following issues:
At least for group policy clients believe they are on the old domain - despite even having renamed the computers with the new domain name.
When I perform a gpresult the output file shows as being connected to the old Domain - despite manually going into computer properties and renaming the computer with the new domain name...

On the server I cannot open Group Policy Management on the single Domain Controller as it is looking for a DC on the old Domain:
Even though it has listed the new domain in the root of the management console when I attempt to expand it out I am prompted:
"The specified domain controller could not be contacted. This affects the following domain in the console.
Domain: olddomain.local
The error was:
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted."
I can select to remove the domain from the console but this does nothing - as said it already shows the new domain in the console.
Far as I am aware the clients should not even of needing renaming or changing the domain, but were having authentication issues before I did this. Not sure what I have done wrong here..?Client's NSLookup shows "UnKnown" as DNS Server so thought to check DNS out.

How can I open two windows in contacts
I am using MacBook Pro, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB 1333 MH DDR3, OSX Yosemite Version 10.10.1
In contacts I would like to know if there is a way to open two windows side by side so I can edit my group lists with my all contacts?Thank you for your reply. I am trying to edit my Christmas Card List (group) with my All Contacts List. If I had a window side by side with each group in separate windows I could just compare the lists. The only other way I can think to do this is open my contacts on another device and have different group lists display on each device.

Please adviceThe checks are meant to indicate which group of Contacts you want to see when you tap "Done." If you have one group checked and you press "Done" you should see the Contacts for that group. If you check more than one group, when you press "Done" you should see all Contacts for all the checked groups combined into a single list.
I'm afraid I still don't understand what is happening when you tap "Done" - provided you have at least one group checked, that should bring you back to the listing of Contacts. -

I am wondering if apple has made it possible to add groups to my contacts. It takes forever to send one message to 30 people when you have to select them individually from your contacts. Also worry about missing one of the contacts that needs the message. Any help or news?
I don't know if there is a limitation to the number of characters you can have in an email address line in contacts, but you could try the following:
Create a list of email addresses in notepad separated in by commas. Highlight and copy the list. Create a new contact. Paste the list into one of the email fields. Create a new email and select the new entry from the contact list. When you send the email you will get a message indicating that the emal address appears to be invalid. Tap the send any way button.
