Can't position windows on second screen JDeveloper 10.1.3 EA1

I love to work with JDeveloper. For a better overview i use two monitors.
At monitor one I place the JDeveloper Main Windows with the code-editor.
On the second monitor I place the other windows like "Structure" or Log-Windows.
This works good with JDeveloper 10.1.2.
But with the new version Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3 EA1 (10.1.3.0.2) I can't place separate windows on the second monitor if the Main Windows is on the first Monitor.
(I use Windows 2000.)

I have a dual screen setup with a ATI Radion VE card - I've experienced no problems with splitting windows across both screens (either way). This is running on XP though.
You might want to pull the latest drivers for your card and see if that helps if you're not already on it.

  • Full Screen Window on second screen minimizes when windows explorer opens..

I did implement a full screen window on my second screen (it's a feature needed by my application)
When I open windows explorer (I'm on windows XP), or when I click in a windows explorer window, the second screen window is minimized, even if explorer pops in the first screen.
Is there any way to overcome this problem?
    Any help would be appreciated...

I suppose that you have this exception when the second window is initiated...
Excuse my remark, it may be perfectly stupid : do you have two screens? The full screen window is supposed to show itself on the user's second screen.
Or maybe the screens are not handled the same way on each computer? (I'm not used at developping applications working on two screens...)
    thanks for your help

  • Can't Install Windows 7, Broken Screen

I need to install Windows 7 due to registry and app problems, and I like 7 more than 8.1 I have created a 7 DVD, but the problem is: I have a cracked internal screen. I can not see anything on my laptop screen except random colors and the crack, so I can not use the BIOS/UEFI. I have not found any way to force the display to my external monitor prior to "Please Wait">Login screen. I have tried around 5 key combinations, I have changed the display setting to "second screen only", I've tried the Detect Monitor thing. There is NOTHING I can find online to fix this, including on Google and YouTube. My model has both an HDMI and a VGA port, but I've never been able to get either of them to display prior to "Please Wait">Login screen. I can not afford to fix my screen right now, and it's not that huge of a priority right now since I can just use an external monitor. Can anyone provide some help? Thanks in advance.
Tried:F5, Fn+F5F4, Fn+F4F12, Fn+F12F2, Fn+F2F10, Fn+F10 Changed display setting to "Second Screen Only" (works during and after "Please Wait">Login screen, never before) Monitor symbol is on F4, for what it's worth. I have tried both holding and repeatedly tapping these key combinations.

You can install Windows 7 if you like. But I doubt you'll ever locate enough of the drivers and utilities to make that laptop work as designed. Toshiba certainly did not create them.
If you have no end of time to burn hunting for those and don't mind some features missing, here's how to install Windows 7.  The disk now uses GPT partitioning, but you want the old MBR partitions. So use the installation package to remove all the existing partitions and create new ones (one is sufficient).

  • Black Window on second screen in Photoshop CS6

    Hi Guys,
hope you can help me with the following issue.
Ive booted my computer up and started photoshop. i use a second screen, its installed automaticly on Mac OSX 1.8.
Now, when i drag the file to th second screen, it appears to become black. if i drag it back to my Home-Screen, the content appears.
resizing dont change anything as well as disable the graphic processor on photoshop.
btw, a second restart solves the issue. but i dont want to restart my machine everytime when i work on photoshop.
hope anyone can help me out.
    thanks guys.

The feature as provided by Adobe may have bugs (I wouldn’t know) but it is one issue where bugs of the OS or the GPU drivers may mislead users to believe that there is a Photoshop bug when really it is somebofy else’s fault, but they only become apparent because Photoshop may make higher demands on certain components than other applications.

  • How can I set up Cinema Display as a main screen and leave my macbook pro as a second screen instead?

How can I set up Cinema Display as a main screen and leave my macbook pro as a second screen instead?

I learned that the Dock is positioned at the chosen edge of whatever Display is positioned farthest to that side.  E.g. for the Dock to be positioned on the right side of the Cinema Display (instead of the right side of the MacBook), the Cinema Display must be oriented (by dragging) to the right of the MacBook monitor on the "Arrangement" tab of the Displays Preference Panel.

I set up sync on the first computer, then got a sync code on the second computer. Now I can't bring up the sync screen on the first computer to sync them together.

    Hi shopper104, <br>
    # Click the Home button (or type about:home in the location bar) to bring up the default Firefox home page.
    # At the bottom of the home page, click the Sync link to open the Sync settings window.
    # Then click the Pair a device link and the Firefox Sync Setup window will open.
    # Enter the twelve character code generated on your other device and click Next.
    # When the code is accepted you will see a Device Connected message and your device will immediately begin syncing. Click Finish to close the setup window.

  • Use old Windows laptop as second screen for Macbook Pro

    Hi all,
I've recently bought a Macbook Pro (mid 2012, 13", 2,5 GHz). So I'm not using my Acer laptop anymore, but I've came across a discussion of people who extended their Mac screen on a Windows laptop. I've tried multiple VNC apps, but no decent results (lots of lag, only mirroring my screen and so on). So my question is: how can I use my Acer to act like a second screen (I prefer a LAN connection instead over WiFi)
    Thanks a lot!

    No can't be done.
I would like to see the links to anyone that says it can. So please post one or 2 of them. Thanks.

  • Multiple screens - can't drag windows

Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion I can't drag a window from a screen to another (of course in case I use a second display) if they are arranged as one is below, another on the top (see the attached screen shot).
Do you have any idea how to solve this issue? Sometimes is quite annyoing.

    pkrasko, welcome to the forum,
drag and drop; go to screen settings where you see the two monitors displayed with 1 on the left and 2 on the right. Click on 2 and drag it to the left of 1. You'll then be able to drag to the left, unless of course you've already physically moved the monitor to the right
    Hope this helps

  • RDC with Mac Laptop and Second Screen - Cannot move Mac Windows onto RDC Screen

The older version of RDC 2.1.1 works perfectly with an additional screen. With the new version 8.0.10, although you can launch and use RDC, you can, no longer, move a window over onto the second screen. So RDC works fine, but you do not have the flexibility
of using both screen while RDC is running. This is clearly a backward step from 2.1.1.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
There is one expected MAC behavior as on Mac only one app gets focus when you go full screen.
In addition, please share some more light with snapshot for your issue for further research.
Thanks for your understanding and support!

  • On the second screen disappear all application windows

Im running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on MacBook Pro mid 2012.
    Description of the problem.
I connect a second screen to the mini display port of my macbook and extends the desktop to it.
Then I send the web browser on the second screen. On the first screen I run an application that goes to full screen.
On the second screen all windows disappears and become gray background.
If on the first screen in the application exit full screen mode, on the second screen appears again desktop and applications running there.
How i can fix it, without upgrading to OS X Maverics?

"Full Screen" is a concept dragged over from IOS, the land of tiny screens. If you have a reasonable-sized screen or multiple screens, it is useless to you. Do not use it!
