Can't run - error in loading shared libraries: libskgxp8.so

Everything seems to work when logged in as ORACLE
but when logged into Linux as any other user
I have checked and recheck permissions.
Maybe I still have something set wrong, but I doubt it.
I have not loaded patch. (fear of disaster)
Here is my situation

That could be an accessibility issue. Check the user with whom you installed Apache server. Check the user has permissions to access the libraries.

I found this error is pretty common, not necessary appear when installing Tuxedo. I am searching around and a lot of people saying to comment out the line
    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL
The problem is I don't know which in which file I need to do it. Has anyone have the encountered the similar problem before? Thanks.

After reading the installation script, I figure out which is the evil file. I just post it here so if someone get into this problem in the future, he can fix it.
    Here is the solution:
Assume you are at the directory where the install.sh is. Do the following:
    -bash-3.1$ cd linux/sles9/base
    -bash-3.1$ cp tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin.bak
    -bash-3.1$ cat tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" >tuxedo91_32_SLES_9_x86.bin

    Then run the installation script

  • Lsnrctl: error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.9.0:

    Hi
I copied across an /opt folder from a Redhat 9 server that has Oracle 9.2.0 to a Redhat AS 4. I then set the oracle variables, hoping after that I can get the database up and running. However I get this error, when trying to start the listener or sqlplus:
lsnrctl: error while loading shared libraries: libclntsh.so.9.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Is this library part of a certain RPM? Where can I get this RPM or this lirary?
    Thanks.

I copied across an /opt folder from a Redhat 9server that has Oracle 9.2.0 to a Redhat AS 4.
So you are saying that you copied the whole
ORACLE_HOME to a new server?? Are you using same
username/group on new server?? Did you relink the
binaries after copying it? What is the output of ls
-l on ORACLE_HOME dir and as what user you are
    running lsnrctl command??
Daljit SinghYes I copied the folder that has Oracle_Home and datafiles.
i have created the oracle user.
How do I relink the binaries?
    I run it as oracle.

could you explain further? there must be something im missing
The best way to do it in my opinion is to grab the tremulous build files using ABS:
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ABS
Once abs is installed and run, the tremulous file will be located in /var/abs/community/games/tremulous. Copy the tremulous folder to somewhere where you have write permissions, enter the directory, change pkgrel=4 to pkgrel=5 in the PKGBUILD, and run makepkg. If all goes well you'll have a new package in that directory after it's done compiling. Then you can install it by running 'pacman -U <whatever the file that ends in .pkg.tar.gz>.
i was talking about the dangers of symlinking libraries  actually...

Can you kindly indicate the cause for this issue? Thanks a lot.
    Best,

You have GNU Java installed by default on many Linux distributions and this is being picked up ahead of the Sun Java. You can change the PATH declaration to make sure that the Sun Java is found first.
export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$JAVA_HOME/jre/bin:$PATHI have removed GNU Java from all my Linux installations.

  • Installing flashplayer 11 on Linux 64 bit - error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6

I've downloaded the flashplayer_11_sa_debug.i386.tar.gz file and extracted it on my RHEL box. When I run ./flashplayerdebugger I get the following error:
./flashplayerdebugger: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
This lib is found in /usr/lib64/libX11.so.6 on this machine.
It is my understanding that flashplayer has native 64 bit support on Linux and therefore should be compatible with lib64 libaries, so why I am I seeing this error? I've been told it's because it's a 32 bit version of the player....
I also see this error if I install the flashplayer_11_sa.i386.tar.gz projector instead of the debugger version.
There don't seem to be any specific 64bit versions of the flashplayer from the download page: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html, yet there seem to be beta releases of a 64 bit Linux player which are no longer available.
Can anyone help me with this? Where can I get a 64bit v11 flashplayer for Linux?
    Thanks

    Hi MurrayFurtado,
The builds you are attempting to download from that page are the 32-bit content debuggers and standalone players.  To download the 64-bit players go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer (or get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions).
Since you didn't specify which version of RHEL you have, FP 11 is supported on RHEL 5.6 or later (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/tech-specs.html).

  • Error in loading shared libraries

    Hi there,
I installed Oracle 8.1.5 on RH 6.1 and I'm getting the following error when trying to run 'dbstart'
svgmgrl: error in loading shared libraries: /opt/oracle/8i/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.5/lib/libclntsh.so.8.o: undefined symbol: nnflboot
I checked that the library was there but maybe it's corrupt?
Has anyone come across this before?
    Cheers,
    Michael Gannon.

this is because there is a lot of bug in oracle instalation.
the linux.sh scripts or the patches, i don't remenber, lose this file. You have to get it fron the instalation CD.
as root you have to do:
    cd /var/tmp
    unzip [oracle instalation home]/stage/Componets/oracle/networking/netclt/8.1.5.0.0/1/DataFile/LIB.0.1.jar
    unzip [oracle instalation home]/stage/Componets/oracle/rdbms/8.1.5.0.0/1/DataFile/LIB.0.1.jar
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/lib
    cp /var/tmp/libdsbtsh8.so .
    cp /var/tmp/ntcontab.o .
    chmod 644 libdsbtsh8.so ntcontab.o
    chown oracle.dba libdsbtsh8.so ntcontab.o
the lib you have missed is due to oracle patches rename the bin oracle. When you try to run dbstart, oracle don't exists.
    review the LD_LIBRARY_PATH too.
