I can't see all of my photo's in my iPhoto library

I was advised by a Mac design studio guy to 'rebuild' my iPhoto library. He told me to hold down the apple and alt keys and click on iPhoto. I did this and it said I was 'rebuilding' my library but when it was finished I couldn't see all of my photos. I can see most of them but not all of them. In addition now iPhoto is really slow. There is a space in my library for the photos and at the bottom it says '529 photos' like it did before but I can't see the photos. Anyone have any suggestions? This is driving me nuts so any advice is welcome! thanks!

You're not alone. The same thing is happening to me. This is what happened: First, my computer had too many photos on iPhoto, and I couldn't download anymore, (I have a G5 and lots of memory too but it didn't matter since I have tons of pictures)and my computer would say my start-up disk was full. I tried to delete some images to no avail. So I decided to buy another hard drive. I wanted to use that one for my photo library rather than the first hard drive, so I had enough room to work with.
I still couldn't download photos to it, since iPhoto was still on my first hard drive. So, I tried moving iPhoto to my second hard drive by dragging it and placing it there. It asked where my library was, so I directed it to the location I thought it was in my Pictures folder.
This is when things started getting mixed up. It no longer was backing up my iPhoto library to my Pictures folder. Whenever it would ask me to update my thumbnail cache, it started substituing dashed lines instead of my photos in its place. Little by little, this was happening. I could still download new photos into my iPhoto Library, but some photos from the past were getting corrupted and I couldn't salvage them or see them in any way, other than the dashed lines.
Recently, I have had two weddings to edit, and I cannot see the photos for the reception of one of them after I updated the thumbnail cache again. I thought it would bring my photos back, but rahter it made them so I can't see them!
I have read the other posts about this same issue, and I am about to just take my computer into MacDocs, but rather I'd like assistance here if possible since I need this taken care of, and I pay $100 every year for MacPro, and noone was available there to help me!!!
Please... any help would be appreciated. I too nervous to move anything else, and I would like some REAL help to this issue.

Can't see pics in Shared Photo Streams

On my iMac, I see "My Photo Stream," which is populated with pictures and working correctly. I also see grey cloud icons for numerous shared Photo Streams that were either shared by me or by others. However, no photos are loading for any of those shared Photo Streams.
Notably, on my devices (2 iPads and 1 iPhone), I can see all of the photos with no trouble. And when I recently upgraded to iPhone 6, the Photo Streams immediately worked, which suggests to me that the photos do exist in iCloud.
Does anyone have thoughts as to why this is not working on my iMac?

Since you are seeing the Shared Photo Stream Albums in Aperture, but empty, you have all preferences set up correctly.
Aperture or iPhoto should be filling the albums from the folder I mentioned, but they cannot, because this folder is empty.
There may be two reasons for this folder being empty. Either the Photostreamagent is not running or you may be having a permissions problem with your home folder.
Have you tried to toggle the Photo Sharing off and on again in the System Preferences, as described here in this link? iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Photo Sharing and Shared Photo Stream
You could also try if removing the empty folder ~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub-shared and restarting the Mac will help.
As a test you could try, if the Shared Photo Stream will work in Safe Mode: Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode
If all fails, launch the Console from the Applications folder and check, if there are any error messages relating to "photostreamagent".

Yes.
On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs.

You might have been using the iPad every day and this issue could have cropped up anyway. I have read where users state that they used their iPad the night before, plugged in to charge it over night and they had the connect to iTunes message on the iPad the next morning.
What I'm saying is that what happened to you can't be explained other than something went wrong. Brilliant I know, but how can anyone possibly know what happended for sure.
Without a computer - and I know that with iOS 5 an iPad can be PC free - it is my belief that you could be facing issues down the line because even with iCloud - if you get the connect to iTunes message - there is no way to correct the problem without a computer.
Even of you had been using the device every day, charging it every night and taking great pains to ensure that the iPad was well cared for, once the connect to iTunes message pops up - you still need a computer.
Unless I have been missing something for the last six months, iCloud can't bail anyone out of this scenario.

You're going to have to describe your network configuration in rather more detail, and start segmenting the problem space into smaller hunks.
If your network is larger or externally managed or otherwise outside your bailiwick, go talk to your local networking group. It's quite easy to have a subnet router instantiate or a vLAN change made and have the results block the mDNS traffic. mDNS traffic doesn't typically pass across subnets; across IP routers. It's also feasible for a firewall to block mDNS traffic. And managed switches can also get involved here, even if you're not running vLANs.
It's distinctly possible there's also some sort of a local problem, but if multiple or all computers everywhere here stop showing mDNS, start looking for the commonality; for the common factor(s).
mDNS is also variously known as Zeroconf and Bonjour.

Did you turn photo stream on in Settings>iCloud? If so, you will only get photo stream photos from the last 30 days as earlier photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud.

Can't see the bottom of Photo Booth

Suddenly I can't see the bottom of Photo Booth to delete photos I don't like. The toolbar at the bottom is in the way. Making the toolbar smaller doesn't seem to help. This is a recent problem. It wasn't happening before. Did I do something to make this happen? Can I fix it? I'd appreciate any tips!

Try deleting this file. com.apple.PhotoBooth.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.
BTW, you posted this in the Safari for Mac forum.

Also, please click My Settings on the right side of this window and type in which Mac you have, scroll down and click Save. Thanks!

Why I can't see ALL my photostream on iPhoto???

This is the thing, I have 1,000 photos on my photo stream, but on iPhoto I se only 290. How can I see ALL OF THEM. You wanna know something? iPhoto is not easy to use.

I think I got it, but the way iPhoto and photo stream work really *****, it should be easier, just using Picture folder to storage all the pictures imported as a regular photo file, not IN the iPhoto library, that's so stupid. So, I will change the configuration and use Image Capture instead iPhoto.

Or search 'disk size' in the App Store.
Be carefull with what you delete & have a backup BEFORE you start, you may also want to reboot to try to free any memory that may have been written to disk.

Can not see all the clips in large Icon view in my bin

I arranged my clips in a bin in large Icon view but i can not see all the clips in the bin while in that mode. I see the clips when in list mode or when i drag them out of the bin into the main bin. As soon I drag them back in large icon view bin they do not show up, when going back in list view they are there.
Any idea
Also my daughter accidently pulled the electrical plug, which turned my external hard drive off. So the media was off line. I hit reconnect the clip but the clip does not show as connected in the bin it keeps the Media offline icon but putting the clip in the viewer or time line it plays it. So the clip is reconnected

thanks for your message it helped to show the clips. Here how I solved it. I put the clips i could not see in large Icon view, to the Project folder. Even in the project folder I was only seeing the clips with Thumbnail in list view. When i hit large Icon view the clips disappeared, and they could not have been lower down as i only have about 5 folders in the project. I then clicked arrange the clip by name and they showed up again. Like that i dragged the clip back in to its bin and it showed up. The reason for going back and forth I arranged the clips manually in the bin before and when hitting arrange by name it spread them to far apart and put the clips not in a sequence I liked.
for the second part I followed Neil's suggestion it worked.
