Can't see imported swing code in jDeveloper visual designer

Hi,
I developed a small swing utility program in either Eclipse or NetBeans (it's been a while, and i forgot which one I used last). I'm now trying to use jDeveloper for all java development, but ran into this problem: when I look at my JFrame in the visual designer, I see the outer frame object, but none of the nested controls inside (buttons, tabbed panes, etc.). I can see all the code and I see the objects in Structure panel. I know when I migrated between Eclipse and NetBeans I had to make some changes to my code to make it work with the visual designers there. I'm pretty shocked to have the same problem in jDeveloper. Any ideas?

That is happening because you must follow some requirements
if you want to import code and use the visual designer tool:
- It must be a Java file.
- It must be free from syntax errors.
- It must contain a public class (the file name must be the same as the name of the
public class).
- It must follow JDeveloper coding conventions:
* All UI controls are declared as class members or as local variables within jbInit().
* All UI property settings done in jbInit(). This is necessary in order for the
JDeveloper UI Editor and Property Inspector to reflect the settings.
* All property settings set as expressions involve only member UI controls or
static values.
- It must have a default constructor.
Any file that meets the above requirements can be visually designed using the UI Editor and the Property Inspector. You can also visually design a non-UI class.

Where can I see Controller source code

Hello all,
My question might be stupid for some ADF gurus, however many people we found that R12 Pages have lots of code and there is not too much documentation about how to customise a controller.
1. I can see the *.class of my controller in the $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ar/cusstd/createcus/webui/ArCreCusCO.class on my server, BUT I only see all the code encrypted when I open JDeveloper. So I guess I am doing all wrong.
2. I want to change ArCreCusCO.class. I see many people say hey I customised XYZ controller but how they found the code and proceed to change it is the least of my headaches
3. Do I need to configure something in JDeveloper so that I can see the server classes to my JDeveloper is this what they do, if so how you do it ????
4. I saw something in the Help page saying Adding components to the OA Extension what the heck is this ???

1.) as u can c .class in java top ,that is compiled code as source code is not delievered by oracle,so u need to decompile this ".class" file to see the source code,JAD decompiler version 1.5.8 will be latest .although it would be useful to see the source code ,but sometimes decompiled class create problems when try to compile again.
2.) u can make changes in the ArCreCusCO.class after decompiling that and compile again the same to generate the class file ,bcz u can put only class file on the server,BUT this would be lethal to change the standard class,and from here concept of Extension come into the picture ,u need to extend this class."customised XYZ " means the extesion of the parent class,and to do the extension u dont dont need the source .
3.) u cant see the source code of a .class in Jdeveloper ,there is no such type of setting.
4.) To extend the ArCreCusCO.class,u need to create a workspace followed by creation of a project with in the workspace in Jdeveloper
process to extend the class
a.)create wokspace and project
b.) create the same package in which the ArCreCusCO.class is residing ,under the \jdev\myprojects\ in your Jdeveloper
c.) right click on project ,go to create new class,here u will find the option to metion the package where u want to put the extended class(normal package starts with xx.oracle.----) plus option to mention the classs nmae u want to extend
d.) click ok at last ,u will get your extended class
e.) source code generaly has two methods processRequest and ProcessFormRequest ,u can add the code according to the requirement .
extension works bcz inside both the method it calls super ,so first it executes all the methods the parent class in your case ArCreCusCO.class and then control comes to extended class,now your code will get executed ,which will accomliseh your requirement
f.)tranaser the class file of extended file to server , to add this extended class with seeded page u need personalize the page ,there u will find the option to add your class ,u mention your class with compete package (the way as we import the file with their package names in our source code,here import is not required)

Can i see the macro code in labview?

i want to know how to make the macro in labview in order to be able to modify them in labview, so i don't want to write the named of macro made in excel or word and saved there, executing it with Run Macro where i call the macro with name.xls!macro, i would like to view the basic code of the macro.
please, don´t say me, that the solution it´s easymacro.com, there i can´t see the diagram and i am a student, i need to learn.

If you want to view the macro code in LabVIEW, there is a description at www.easymacro.com that will show you...
Just kidding...
To my knowledge, there is no way to view the code of an existing macro in LabVIEW. I could be wrong about this, however. The best way for you to find out what functionality is available is to obtain information from Microsoft on what specific macro functionality is available through ActiveX.

Can't see imported music.

When I import CD's they do not appear in any file on iTunes. This is ever since I purchased iTunes Match. I'm guessing I need to alter the location or settings, but having tried several different options, I can't see any of my recently imported discs.
My software is fully up to date. I have tried a system restart.
Any ideas??

How do I check my iCloud contents? Via the Store? They are definitely somewhere in the system, because when I try to reinstall the discs, I get a message saying that they already exist!!
So I'm sure if you can tell me how to check my iCloud, I'll find them!! Thanks!!

I can't see imported photos

Hi everybody,
I got a new Ipod Hi-fi 30 Gb.
I have the Belkin Camera Link and I've downloaded photos from my camera (it's a Sony DCS W 100) to the Ipod.
All the photos are imported on the Ipod and I can download them to a pc.
My problem is that I can't see any photo on the Ipod screen.
When I got to the menu "Photos" it display just the number of the roll, the number of the photo and nothing happens.
Does anybody can helpme?

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with
Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Can't see import from planning in Target Designer

Hi,
I'm using Informatica Power Center 8.1.sp5 , and trying to connect to hyperion planning 11.1.3.
Created the connection under application connection browser, but now when I go to target designer, I don't see Import From Plannig Option. Please let me know if anyone has seen this before. Thanks

Hi Damodhar,
What front-end patch do you have installed? This works in Front-end patch 902. If possible I'd recommend upgrading to get this functionality enabled. There are also a number of other functional enhancements provided in the upgrade.
One word of warning would be that we have found some functionality has stopped working so I'd recommend performing the front-end upgrade on a test machine first.

Why I can't see the ODS I created in query designer?

I have ODS and Cube in my Application Component, but I can only see Cube, no ODS, why?

Please check your ODS. whether it is reportable or not. Go to change mode of ODS/double click on the ODS. Settings-->Please check mark Bex Reporting button and activate the ODS again.

Check following infoprovider tables and see if your infoproviders are in active version.
InfoCube: RSDCUBE
DSO: RSODSO
and for Infoobject goto transaction RSD1 and check.
And Finally for multiprovider RSDCUBEMULTI

Can't see/import pics Lr 5.3

Hi,
I've just downloaded and installed the latest version of Lr 5.3 (trial). I didn't get any error messages or problems during the installation process. When I open it and go to "Import" and select the folder where I have my pictures (.jpeg and .nef), Lr recognizes the pictures but doesn't show them (I attach a screenshot). Do you know what might be the reason for that? I haven't changed any settings, I disabled the add-ins, JIC, and still the same issue, I checked for updates, none available, and it happens both with raw and jpeg files...
Even if clic "Import", when I go to the "develop" tab, still I just see nothing.
I'd appeciate any help! Thanks!!

I use the i1DisplayPro so cannot comment if it is better or worse compared to the Spyder but the basic systems typically do the same thing: calibrate and profile your monitor. More expensive systems do the same for printers, but you have to move the device to the various printed patches unless you get a very expensive one that has a robotic arm that can position the measuring device over each color patch.
LR has historically needed an iCCv2 Matrix profile...other options are ICCv4 and LUT profiles. The advanced mode of the i1Display lets you configure these options.

Can't see imported Photoshop jpegs in iPhoot 6

I have done some work with RAW images in Photoshop, saved them as jpegs with new alpha names and then attempted to import them into iPhoto, but cannot see them in the Library. When I try to re-import them, I get the message "Unreadable File - 1. The following file cannot be imported. The file is in the iPhoto Library Folder."
Any suggestions?

Can't see imported app module client interface methods

I needed to re-use the data model from another workspace in my current project, so I imported it.
When I import a model into another application, the application module's client interface method(s) will show up in the data control palette (and thus become useable as the action of a data action) only if I click on the originating application in the application navigator (and it is certainly useable that way). But if I click anywhere in the application I've imported the model into, the data control palette doesn't display the method(s).
Is this a bug? Is there a way to see the method(s) without having to click on the originating application?

executing...Of course it will execute. But the real question is, why is it there anyway? When you call sendRedirect(), you tell the client to create a new request for some other servlet or JSP. What's the point of continuing to process the current request?
Or to put it another way, why do you have code in a place where you (mistakenly) don't expect it to run?

I noticed previously you changed it to int, that means
integer, which is
a numeric datatype.
You want mixed characters and numbers? Is it always the same
length? If
it is, use a CHAR datatype and set it to the length you need,
CHAR(12)
for instance will let you use 12 characters. Even if the
number entered
isn't 12 characters, it will be stored as 12 characters, but
with spaces
where there are no characters. I personally never use this
unless I am
100% certain that its going to be exactly the same length,
otherwise
doing comparisons is problematic, as you need to TRIM the
white space.
If the length is going to vary, then use VARCHAR(12), this
let you use
up to 12 characters. It won't put extra spaces in. This is my
preference.
Now, if you are also storing double byte characters, like
foreign
characters, you might want to consider using NVARCHAR or
NCHAR.
Oh, these examples are based on MS SQL datatypes, so MySQL
might be
slightly different, so it may be worth checking the manual
first.

IMovie can't see imported videos from other cameras.

I've got the last version of iMovie on my iPad 2. (1.2.2)
When I download on my iPad videos from my video camera, iMovie won't show it! I can't make a project!

I had a look and it looks to be an AVCHD camera.
You will need to use either iMovie Mac (the latest version), or use a dedicated app to get the AVCHD Files.
There are many AVCHD video converter programs.
I like to use Video Pier:

If you can mount the camera on your computer then you could search through the directories till you find the .MTS files (these are the AVCHD video files).
But to find out how to access the files from the JVC you'd be better to ask JVC.
All video will have to be converted before it can be edited on the iPad or iPhone.
The MTS files can be dragged into Bigasoft by the looks of it.
I've never used this program, there are free alternatives that work perfect.

I had a play and it works great.
The settings need to be just right to get it to work for an iPad or iPhone.
I find the red settings here need to be like this:
Then you need to create a new folder/album in iPhoto and add the .mp4 clips there.
Then go to the photos tab in iTunes and add the photo album with the videos:
The videos should show up in the camera app, and so also in iMovie.

How can I use java swing class in JSP page design

I am a new developer in Java server pages. I want to use layout managers available in java swing classes to design the page. Can any body suggest me a way to do this.Is it possible if I do it with servelets.

So, you want to use layout managers within your JSPs?
The immediate answer is that "it isn't a good idea". The more considered answer is "tell us what you're up to".
Are you coding all presentation within a traditional JSP? That is, HTML, customer or library tags and/java scriptlets?
Or are you building your HTML within your servlets and sending that back to the browser?
If the first, then you are probably better off either using explicit HTML tables (or the equivalent custom tags) or finding a library that you can use.
If the second, you can write classes similar to the Swing layout managers that end up being a fancy way of putting elements into an HTML table. We have exactly that in my current environment. I wouldn't recommend rolling your own and I'd tend to leave all that presentation stuff to the JSP.
In any case, you can't really use the Swing layout managers as they are for an entirely different pradigm.
