Can't See Motion Paths??

Motion Paths won't display. I'm using the latest updates for AE CS5 and nVidia. Motion Paths have never been visible in AE CS5 all the way back to nVidia driver version 178.x, in fact. What to do?

Are you sure that you're enabling the display of motion paths in the preferences?

Motion effects are not supported for responsive projects, motion paths have no sense.

Can We Create Motion Paths From Lines Drawn In Illustrator?

Is there any way to convert lines drawn in Adobe Illustrator into Motion Paths within Adobe Edge Animate? In other words, if I were to create something like a spiral in Illustrator to use as a path to animate an object on in Edge. Or perhaps if I wanted an object to move around the shape of another object as though it were on a path.

An easier way would be to change the origin of a circle and it would move around it.

How can I see the path from the preview file (*.prel) to my video files ?

Because a lack of hard disk space I have moved my video files to another drive and therefore unfortunately destroyed the relative connection to the preview file (*.prel).
Therefore the videos are not to be seen in the preview file any more.
How can I get information about the relative path between the preview file and the place for the original video files so I can get those back in the original position ?
or:
It may be possible to change the path for every clip in my preview file - but how ?
I can read answers in English, German or Danish.

If you know where the files are by actually seeing them in their hard drive save location and you are getting "Where is the file ______?" messages, then you use those
messages to reconnect the source media to the project. Are you getting those messages and have you tried for the reconnects that way?
If edits are involved in the files that have become disconnected to the project, you can also consider the program's Replace Footage feature.

Typically either of these ways is one at a time reconnects. With the "Where is the file _____?" message way sometimes you get lucky (depends on the circumstances) and more
than one file at a time might reconnect.

I can't see swf path location through ui loader when uploaded to web server.

I know there are different ways to accomplish what I'm trying to do, but I must not be going about it the right way. I used a ui loader to load different swf files to save on space. I can see them locally, but when I publish the html to the server nothing is there. I'm using the loader as moive clip for tweening. Here is one example of the code I'm using.

The swf is located in the same folder as the html. It's almost like a slide show I made with button going through each section.
Please if anyone can help, because I just can't figure it out.

If all of the files are in the same folder as the html then you should be able to use a relative reference (not the full http: version). For the full version you might end up needing to include the "www" part as well, but you should be able to just use the file name alone.
The only things I can think of....
1) the url specified by the UILoader doesn not match the filename on the server.
2) the swf being loaded is also trying to load a file but cannot find it

Hi Me and my college work with the same CP files.

01-Preproduction
02-Post production
03-Ready for export
04-Exported and approved
I am responsible for the preproduction, creating animations and recording stuff
My college is responsible for cleaning and smoothing errors and edit text.
During the preproduction I create custom motion paths
When my colluege open the"moved" project files the animation works but he can not see my paths... it seems that my paths have been compiled to be a part of the project, and are no longer editable.
When working in a projectfile nothing should be compiled in to the project, everything should be editable. that is the reason to send a project file and not a compiled version to someone.
So what I want: I think that paths should be included in the project as editable paths when moving a project.
And I want to know if it is my lack of competence, a bug or an undeveloped feature that makes the paths compile into the project upon move.

It was lack of knowledge that led me to post this.
Actually, after reading your post and entering my colleges computer to investigate I found what the problem was...
He had the obect locked. Of course he could not see anything, because you can not even select a locked object.
Thank you for answering eaven the stupidest questions from my side.
Actually I think this whole tread should be deleted because it creates more confusion than knowledge for readers.

Can't see fill or stroke even with color activated

This is a newbie question, but for the life of me I can't figure out what's going on. At some point while I was working on an Illustrator CS2 file, I accidentally moved or misclicked on an object, and then its fill and stroke disappeared. In the tool panel, fill and stroke are still activated and are still the same color they were before, I just can't see them on the actual image. I can only see the path. Other objects are still visible, and I've been trying to compare their attributes with those of the invisible object, but I haven't been able to figure out the difference.
Any help would be appreciated!

In your Layers screenshot, I count Compound Shapes nested fifteen levels deep. That is an absolutely ridiculous construct, and it is no wonder you are having display problems.
Select the topmost Compound Shape listed in the Layers palette. Release Compound Shape. Repeat this until you have no more Compound Shapes. Then stay away from the Pathfinder palette until you understand it. (See online Help.) You don't need it for the simply line art you are drawing, based on the screenshot.
Realize: The Layers palette lists every object in the document. So not everything listed there is a Layer or a SubLayer. Those items titled Compound Shapes are not Layers; they're objects.
For the kind of artwork you are trying to draw, first get your head around ordinary Compound Paths. When you have to use one closed path to punch a hole in another, use the Object>Compound Path>Make command, not the Pathfinder palette. Compound Paths are basic constructs common across all vector drawing programs. That top row of icons in the Pathfinder palette create compound paths applied as a "live effect"--an Illustrator-specific construct, and one that will just confuse you until you understand the basics of compound paths.
Understand that each subpath of a compound path has its own winding direction. The winding direction, together with the winding rule, determine whether the subpath "punches" or creates a void in the surrounding subpath. Illustrator does a poorer job of automatically handling those settings than other programs, so you often have to change the direction of direct-selected subpaths. Those settings are in the Attributes palette.

Drawing a Motion path

Hi fellows!! I would like to ask please, if there's any way which allow me to draw an arbitrary line with the pencil tool for instance, and then tell to flash to use this path as a motion path for an object on the stage by creating a motion tween. I know that this can be achieved by classic tween, but I look for a way to achieve the same effect but by using the new animation model of motion tween. Cheers!! Atar.

Thanks for your response, but I'm already know that I can edit a motion path after it was created. But this process is harder than to draw the desired path with the pencil tool. I look for a way to a priori draw the path as I want.

How can I mass move symbols with their motion paths without creating new keyframes?

I want to move a lot of symbols all at once if they are off centered or just need to be moved around to see differenr styles across the document, but I can't seem to move a lot of the symbols at once, only one at a time slexting their motion paths. It's rather annoying when I have items coming in at different times and have to re line everything up one by one if I want to move things even over by 1 px. Every time I slecect all my symbols and try to move them it just creates a new keyframe that they follow. Is there any tool or certian way to select the symbols and/or thier motion paths and move them without creating new key frames?

There's no direct way of moving all the symbols/ motion tweens begining at different frames altogether, but the following steps should help you do it -
1. Select a motion path on stage, goto Properties panel > Options menu (top left corner) and enable - Always show Motion Paths.
2. Enable - Edit Multiple Frames option in the Timeline.
3. Adjust the frame-markers in Timeline to show all your symbols, motion paths etc.
4. Now that you see all your symbols and motion paths together, Select-all and Move them together. Or, use Shift + click to selectively select the Motion paths/objects and move them.
Let me know if you have any doubts..

I'm in the middle of a text animation design treatment and unless my memory is completely failing I thought this was an option.
An example would be selecting all layers and being able to see all bounding boxes and animation paths while moving along the timeline.
Of course this could be quite a mess if you couldn't selectively chose which layers, its just with this current project it would be so helpful if
I could see the text beyond the canvas to aid in my animations.

I do understand shift + v " to "Show Full View Area" and shift + z to fill screen, etc.
and command + & - for zooming
what I'd like to do is selectively view, say, the text outside of the canvas as you can see the bounding box
which contains the text or object when selecting one or all layers in the layers column
I haven't used this feature in a while though I do recall using it in the past.
Any help would greatly appreciated

In ppro 6.5 had the ability to set motion with free form using the handles can't see where in ppro cc it can be done

In Adobe 6.5 I was able to use freeform motion path with distortion of the graphic to fly in the graphic can't see how to do that in Adobe cc premiere Pro CC I called up support and they said it's been transferred to after effects is that true?

PPro. 6.5 or the good old Premiere 6.5 The Premiere 6.5 simple motion has been updated in the programs monitor and has more options and styles now. You can also use the Effects control and use keyframes. One can also use various effects like perspective and more. It is all about your creativity. So the 6.5 motion is in the programs monitor.
Double click on the video in the program window and you will see the handles. I prefer playing with figures in the motion control window with the x, y, z axis. One can even do 3d motion in that window

See all motion paths at once

I have a slide that has multiple elements moving around. It would be super-helpful if I could see all the motion paths at one time to adjust positions and alignment. Is this possible?

I cannot see the yellow motion path in the composition window

Yesterday the motion path was visible after unchecking and rechecking the motion path box in view options. But today it's not visible after trying several times the same thing. I'm trying to animate text using a path animation preset. I'm using an Imac with 24 gigs of ram and After Effects CC.
I am very new to this program so I could be missing something very simple. Please help if you can.

You may have pressed Ctrl/Cmnd + Shift + H and hidden all handles. Try resetting your workspace. Give us a screenshot of the whole project and don't scale it down. You can use this forum to upload the image by clicking on the camera icon. If the upload button does not light up then close the window and try again. Sometimes the upload window is buggy in Safari.

Motion paths are working well but ... I now want to do the following: I ahve moved an object on the screen ...can I delay for a few seconsd and move it back OFF the screen? (or to a different location ON the screen)
