Can't Syncronise

Hi All
I have just got a replacement Blackberry 8100 handset and am trying to import my contact list from PC to the handset. The problem I am having is that my PC doesn't recognise the new handset and I no longer have the CD to install.
I tried searching for a link to download a desktop manager but have had no luck.
Any help and suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Download the software from here, found in the grey support box at the top of the page,
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
I would recommend the DM 4.6 latest version. Stay away from the Media Manager as it is not stable.
This should get you going!

Why would you make a new account?  This will likely cause many problems.  Just get you old account enabled.
Apple ID: "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" alert appears
Frequently Asked Questions About Apple ID
Everything you purchased with the old account will always be tied to that account.  You will have to authorize the computer for that account and you will have to update the apps from that account.

    Hi,
You Can Turn On Safari In iCloud So That Your iPad Is Synced With Your iPhone If They Both Have The Same Apple ID and You Have iCloud Enabled On Both Of Them.
    Thanks.

You can sync as many ipods/ipads/iphones as you like to the some library/computer.

  • Home Sharing wasn't turned on on my, now broken computer, that won't start. Now I can't syncronise my iTunes on my new computer with my iPod

I had my iPod connected to a computer that's now broken and now it won't start. Now I can't use Home Sharing on my new computer, since it wasn't turned on on my first computer, and I can't syncronise my iPod with my iTunes library. The only thing I can use iTunes for now, is to hear music from my computer... What can I do?
I'm pretty desperate for help; it would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it  says place the iPod in recoverymode use one of these programs.
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and

    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

How come I don't have the music icon in my store, so that I can't syncronise music but only apps & books with Icloud?

Airtunes? I assume you mean iTunes match? The little cloud symbols?
If so, you need to make sure it is turned on in your phone and in your computer.

  • 6233 & PC Suite - Can't syncronise contact data

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
    Phone: Nokia 6233
    PC Suite: 6.81.13.0
    Windows XP Service pack 2
    Toshiba Pentium IV AV30 laptop
    1) I connect the phone up using the USB cable, this has worked fine up until now.
    2) The PC Suite registers the phone is connected so I click on "contacts".Up come contacts from the last save.
    3) I click the icon "update contacts" and receive the message "phone & computer contacts are now being updated" along with an animation of the PC sending data to the phone. The connected phone wakes up and displays "syncronising data/sending 1-86"
    4) Then, when the phone gets approximately half way through, the phone screen goes blank & all contacts disappear from the pc screen.
5)A message on the PC Suite pops up in the form of two warnings.
a)"the syncronisation has been terminated, PC Sync could not update the data to the mobile phone"
b)"PC Sync information: connection to mobile lost. Check connection and reset synchronisation"
    6) Immediately after this message, the PC Suite recognises the phone again and I am back point number 2 (above)
I have tried the operation approx. 15 times using the USB cable and then switching to Infrared transfer and the result is exactly the same. I have uninstalled and re-installed PC Suite to see if this corrects the problem but it doesn't.
Please can someone out there help me, Thanks in advance
    Fraser-Cole

Thanks manta,I hope I didn't waste any of your time & thanks for your quick response.
I solved the problem as follows.
I had been busy taking pictures to save to my contacts in the 6233. I'd taken about 12 shots of familly & friends and this is where it all started. When you then syncronise the data, the volume of images tranfering to the PC takes (obviously) longer and gets 'timed out' whatever connection you use. My advice to anyone with the same problem is to sycronise phone to PC after only a few photos have been added as an image to individual contacts. My PC suite seems to work fine now.

  • I am using my calendar and need others to be able to book appointsments on my behalf, how can I syncronise them to ensure one, up to date calander at all times?

Hi all hope someone can help.  Just turned our small consultancy business into an Apple enterprise with 2 Imacs, an Ipad4 and IPhone 3g.  I want to run a consollidated calander where people can add appointments to my calander but if I am booking an appointment on the Ipad and my office manager is booking appointments I don't think we are sycronising properly as some of the appointments "get lost"  can anyone tell me where I am going wrong
    Wendy Garcarz

    Hi Wendy,
If I was in your shoes, I would use Google Calendar. With Google Calendar you can easily set up shared calendars. Google calendars also integrate well with the Mac OS X calendar app and the iOS calendar app so whether you are using the iMac, iPad, or iPhone you'll see all of your appointments as well as ones scheduled for you (by whoever you shared it with) on the native devices calendar (we use shared Google calendars all the time between Macs and iOS devices and it works great).
Have each of your employees sign up for a Google account. Once you sign in, click on the Calendar link at the top of the webpage. On the left side of the page under "My calendars" click on the drop down arrow. You should now see your name under My Calendars. Click on the drop down arrow next to your name and select Share This Calendar. Under "Share with specific people" you can enter the gmail address(es) of the employees who you want to grant access to. You have the ability to assign read only access if you just want other employees to see (but not schedule) your calendar, or assign read & write access for someone like your office manager so that he/she can schedule meetings for you.
    Google Account Sign-up

There is so much that Google apps can do. Along with the calendar, we love the Goole Drive to share documents and spreadsheets. I could go on and on about Google apps but will instead give you these links:

  • I can't transfer photos to ipod from my computer

Why I can't syncronise photos to my ipod from my computer? If there's any song, I can't put photos, even with a lot of spaces. What is wrong?

Have you designated a "pictures" folder in your preferences? Have you added pictures to this folder? What happens when you try to add pictures? We're going to need more information about your problem before we can help.

  • Can I use 'match' with all my 4 computers

I have 4 computers including an iPad can I syncronise all computers to "match"?

    Hi,
Yes. Set up match on your main computer and let process complete.
You can then activate match on each of your computers. If there is any additional music, this will be added to match and will become available to download on your main computer if you wish to consolidate your music to one machine.
With imatch on your other machines, you will be able to play the music without having to download the tracks.

  • I can't plug my cellphone to my computer (SuperCharger problem?)

Well this has been a very frustating error.
I have an Iphone 4, and every time I connect it to my pc, it connects-disconnects-con-dis-con-dis a lot of times a second. I can't syncronise it with itunes due to that reason.
I know is the notebook's fault, cuz I have pluged it in other pcs and they all work fine (the cable is original and everything).
I am suspicious about that "super charger" thingy msi has, but I don't know how could it be a problem.
    I have a GE60 i5-4200M NvidiaGeForceGT 750M 2GB GDDR5 - DDR3 8gb ram 1Tb+128Gb ssd
Please someone help me or give me solutions!! I can't get music into my cellphone :CCC

    Hi there,
First if you are simply using the data sync function, then it's not related to "super charger", cause every USB in GE60 can do sync, but not every USB can do "super charger".
Then make sure if the usb connector has problem with every devices(usb flash, other android phone, tablet.....etc), or simply with your iphone4. Hope your USB connection function are ok with most of the devices.
    cheers

  • Transferring music from ipod classic to new computer

    Hi, can anyone help?
My last computer became corrupted and unusable and I am left only with my ipod of music, which I would like to transfer to a new computer, however, it will not synch with the new one as it is says my ipod is already synched with another computer (my old one!). I have contacted apple and they have sent me information, but you need to make adjustments on the old computer (which no longer exists)to transfer the files. Is there a way of transferring the music from the ipod to my new computer, without using my old computer?
    Thanks...

OK, I had to restore my laptop to factory-settings, and so lost all my music in iTunes. Still have my music on my iPod, but obviously can't syncronise it as I'd lose all the music on there.
I have tried a couple of software packages (ipod2computer & Tune Tools), but neither of them seem to work (one keeps asking me to put in my credit card details again and the other just hangs or saying it hs updating data, but after a few hours nothing happens). Really looking for help or recommendations in transfering music files from my ipod or software that can enable this.
    Many thaanks for any assistance

  • Using Smartsuite with a range of phones

I have two types of phone which I want to use with Nokia Smart Suite,
I have several 6310i's which I regularly use with v 4.88 to download SMS messages etc.
I now have a 6230i which is my everyday phone. I would like to use infra red and PC suite with both phones and have 2 issues.
1.) I cannot seem to load both PC suite versions without getting conflicts on the communications side as they appear to use different communication 'stubs'
2.) Some of the features of the old PC suite are missing from the new PC suite - e.g. Phone Editor which I used to use for managing my SMS's (or have I just not installed it?)

I think you have made all the right conclusions, you cannot really use 4.88 and 6.xx PC Suite in same PC and new PC Suite is lacking the old Phone Editor application.
These changes in Nokia PC Suite happened at the same time when PC Suite started to support all Nokia phone models, the "feature phones" (S40 phones) and then the smart phones which have Symbian operating system imbedded, i.e. S60 phones and the new communicators 9300, 9300i and 9500. At the same time when this happened, the old PC Suite's for the smart phones were left behind and PC Suite 6.xx versions started to support smart phones also. And some old applications like Phone Editor, Sound Converter and lately also Image Converter have been dropped from application list.
What you can do is to use the 6230i and PC Suite 6.7 and you can still syncronise the 6310i with it (At least that's what I head in these forums that it can be syncronised although PC Suite may indicate that the connection is not happening, PC Sync still recognises it)

  • New Library in Aperture 3

    Hi
I've always used Lightroom and am really looking hard at Aperture. Not convinced just yet though. I have been trying to import my current file and folder structure (around half a million photographs) for use in Aperture 3 but can't seem to figure out how to do it the way I want i.e. maintaining my current structure and using Aperture to reference them in their current location without adding them to Apertures library. I did the drag and drop but Aperture ended up crashing at the 2TB mark which is when I realised that a 2TB library really wasn't a good option. Aperture won't allow me to import sub-folders or am I missing something.
Is there a way to do what I want?
On a more secondary note - if I move a folder outside of Aperture, how do I get that move reflected in Aperture? I know that in Lightroom I can just "syncronise" the folders. (Sorry, can't bring myself to put a "z" in there)
    Many thanks,
    Al

Maybe it's because what you want to do is so basic, covered many times in this forum, in the free tutorials and the manual that everybody thought that someone else wold reply.
In the Import Dialogue (File -> Import) you can select to 'Store Files' in 'Their Current Location'.
In the File Menu there's a command: 'Relocate Masters'
Hi and thanks for taking the time to reply to me.
I know about the import dialogue and the store files in their original location but unfortunately that doesn't address my original question. I would like to know how to import and maintain my hard disk directory structure and not have a bloated Aperture library. I don't see an option to import files and sub folders whilst keeping them in their original location.
The size of my pictures folder is about 3TB and when I start to add this to Aperture using drag and drop (to maintain directory structure) I get an Aperture library just as big.
As for Relocate Master - that's more of a manual search than an automated update to the masters location although please correct me if I'm wrong. Excuse me for missing that earlier but I am still getting used to the Aperture terminology. I thought I was dealing with "referenced files" not "masters".
I don't think I'm being too dumb by posting these question and I can't find the answers I need in these forums.
Once again thanks for taking the time to reply.

  • ITunes 7.4.x - No supported calendar application found

After installing the latest version of iTunes 7.4.x I can't syncronise anything anymore. The Info page in Itunes is kinda blank - that is, there are no info in the dropdownboxes where you select which applications to sync with.
I am running Office 2003 SP2 and could syncing before the upgrade.
Somewhat strangly positioned on the Info tab in Itunes it says "No supported calendar application found". Looks like a debug textstring. However, an hour before it was able to easily see that i have Outlook 2003 installed.
I have no other addins or com addins running. I only see one Apple-add in running, but the scarse information posted by Apple on this forum tells me that thats how its done in the new version..?
Anybody has any feedback on this? Would be nice if the iPhone ... worked
    Best regards,
    Frederik
