Can't turn off bdump logging

hi!
My database has a few PL/SQL and Java Stored Precedures. Everytime I start those procedures I get a massive logging in the bdump directory (about 87GB within a few days).
I remember I played around with 10046 Event logging a few weeks ago, but I don't think thats the reason because I did a "ALTER SYSTEM SET EVENTS '10046 TRACE NAME CONTEXT off';" without any luck.
The content of the logfile look like
WAIT #7: nam='db file scattered read' ela= 392 file#=18 block#=289826 blocks=32 obj#=54178 tim=1115053300645500
WAIT #7: nam='db file scattered read' ela= 351 file#=18 block#=289858 blocks=32 obj#=54178 tim=1115053300646476

WAIT #7: nam='db file scattered read' ela= 355 file#=18 block#=290729 blocks=32 obj#=54178 tim=1115053300658320

WAIT #8: nam='SQL*Net message to dblink' ela= 4 driver id=0 #bytes=1 p3=0 obj#=54178 tim=1115053300666311
WAIT #8: nam='SQL*Net message from dblink' ela= 833 driver id=0 #bytes=1 p3=0 obj#=54178 tim=1115053300667202
WAIT #8: nam='SQL*Net message to dblink' ela= 3 driver id=0 #bytes=1 p3=0 obj#=54178 tim=1115053300667299
....How can I find out how to turn off these massive logging?
michi

session# ?? don't you mean serial#?
but anyway. within the last two hours I got 220 new .trc files in bdump. Disable it for each in not the solution. The filesname are like
tadev_s003_20273.trc
tadev_s003_21362.trc
tadev_s003_21429.trc
tadev_s004_23101.trc
(tadev is my database-name)
It looks like the problem is that every new session is logged by default. I've already restartet the DB (its a development-server) after altering the system with 'ALTER SYSTEM SET EVENTS '10046 TRACE NAME CONTEXT off';", so every session was started after turning 10046 off. So I think its not 10046-logging.
Any ideas?

You had to have turned logging on somehow, so it depends on how you turned it on.
If you are using native TopLink api such as Sessions.xml check the documents here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/b32441/sescfg.htm#BABFDFFD
if Using JPA, its done in persistence.xml through properties as described here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/configure-logging-092723.html

  • How can I turn off the logging in procedure?

A few days ago an Apple associate at the Apple store in Oak Brook, IL, added a new user to try to fix a problem I was having.  Since then, even though I removed that second user, I have to log in.  I am the only user so this is entirely unnecessary and I would like to go back to an automatic log in.  However, I tried to change this in Apple Preferences but under Login Options the Automatic Login drop down is set for Off and cannot be changed.  How do I get back to the automatic log in I had?

    Hi joyfromburr ridge,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you wish to configure your system preferences to enable Automatic Login for your user account. It sounds like your options are greyed out, which is expected behavior if the preferences are locked. To unlock your preferences and make changes, click the lock icon in the bottom left corner - then enter an administrator name and password:
OS X Yosemite: Login Options pane of Users & Groups preferences
    https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18901?locale=en_US
Click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password.

  • Can i turn off spacebar shortcut in Finder ?

Can i turn off the spacebar shortcut in the Finder. It is causing me difficulty while using keyboard shortcuts in CS5. If by mistake I tap the desktop to make Finder active, while still viewing an inacvtive window, the Finder automatically selects a folder on my desktop. The next time I hit the spacebar while mistakenly in the Finder, it springs the selected folder to the front. It's totally annoying. I talked to Apple Care and they have no solution.

Okay - just wanted to be sure!
You can test your preferences theory fairly easily.
Create a new user account. Log out of the current one and into the new one.
Make sure the folders/pictures spring forward when the space bar is depressed.
Go into the Finder Preferences and uncheck that box. Test to see if the folders still spring forward. You should not need to restart the computer.
If they do not, I can get you instructions for deleting/moving some preference files that might need to be trashed to fix this.

  • How can i turn off library sharing remotely because i cant remember all the computers or systems

I want to be able to add my new computer to my library sharing however it will not let me. It says i already have 5 computers on the system. My question is as i said, how if possible can I turn off the connection to the other computers?

This isssue is about authorisation rather than home sharing.
You can't de-authorise just the computers you no longer have access to.
Your only option is to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise those you wish to be authorised. You can do this by logging into your account settings in iTunes on your computer (Store > View My ID) and selecting the option to de-authorise all.
Please note however, you are only permitted to do this once in each 12 month period, therefore you would be better de-authorising your computers before you lose access to them. you can do this from the 'Store' menu in iTunes.

  • How can I turn off the password remember question?

How can I turn off the password remember question?  I never use this option on my laptop, as that would not be secure.  And on sites with their own "stay logged in" feature, Safari's password memory sometimes interferes.  Is there any way to stop Safari from asking me if I want to remember passwords, or am I stuck saying Never for this Site on every site I visit?

Password autofill can be secure or insecure, depending on how you use the computer, but if you want to disable it, select from the menu bar
    Safari > Preferences > AutoFill
and uncheck the box marked User names and passwords.

  • How can I turn off the "Free Subscription is ending in X days" pop-up. I bought the subscription and downloaded it. I'm using the paid version.  It all appears to be working accept for the silly pop-up.

How can I turn off the "Free Subscription is ending in X days pop-up. I bought my subscription but still receive the notice.

    Hi Carl,
Is it the Acrobat trial that's ending? (Adobe doesn't offer free subscriptions that expire after a set time.)
If you're referring to the Acrobat trial, have you logged in with your Adobe ID and password? If not, click License this Software in the pop-up that states the trial is ending soon, and then log in with your credentials, and you should be set.
Please let us know if that is not the case.

  • How can I turn off the auto renewal for Hulu plus?

How can I turn off the auto renewal for Hulu Plus?  I can not seem to follow the instructions given...I can not launch I tunes and have a menu appear.......
My special needs son accidentally signed up for this trial offer and I want it cancelled immediately.  I have received an email from them, but can not get it to work and I have been trying for over a week.......feeling frustrated.

How/where are you trying to stop the subscription ?
If you are using iTunes on a PC and the drop-down menus aren't showing at the top of iTunes then see if control-B gets them to show, or try alt-S and see if that gets the Store drop-down menu to show. You should also be able to cancel subscriptions by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPod Touch an logging into your account.

  • Can I turn off the preview window?

    Hi there,
Odd one this, but can the self-preview be turned off in iChat by any means?
I like to have a video call with my sister and her little 2 year old, but the 2 year old is fascinated by the picture of herself!! She is so engrossed, she will rarely interact with people at the other end of the video call! We've tried just putting a piece of cloth over than area of the screen, but she's wise to it now and pulls it away.
Is there a good way of getting rid of the small self-image in the corner of the video chat window?
    Thanks!
    David

    Hi,
The Preview that becomes the Pic-in-Pic can be turned off in the Video menu (Hide Local Video) in iChat 4 and above.
    Otherwise the answer is No.

  • Can't turn off Wi-Fi on Time Capsule

I would like to save electricity since I don't use the wi-fi on my Airport Time Capsule.  I just use the data back-up feature. I can't turn off the wi-fi by going to System Preferences - Network.  It says Status: Off  but the Wi-Fi is in fact on.  I can log on to the Wi-Fi network from another computer.  Clicking Turn Wi-Fi On does nothing.
The menu bar says "WiFi: No hardware installed"  My Time Machine program seems to work with the Time Capsule.
    What am I doing wrong?
Hardware: Early 2008 Mac Pro, OSX 10.9.2.  Airport Time Capsule 2TB less than a year old.

I get the same power consumption whether wireless is on or off....using an older 2+ year old version of the Time Capsule though.
I would not recommend that you power off the Time Capsule and power it back up on a regular basis. The Time Capsule loses all of its network settings on power down, then must get them all back again on power up. You probably will not go more than a few days before you have a problem with the Time Capsule getting lost on the network.
Might be a reason why Apple does not even put an "Off" switch on the Time Capsule, or allow you to power it off from a computer or AirPort Utility.
Personally, I think that continually powering off a device and powering it back up places far more stress on the electronic components that simply leaving it on. But, others have other opinions.
