Can we copy standard buisness area folders to customise business area folde

hai,
I want to copy standard business area folders to customise
business area folders.How I have to link AP_PO_INV and how many folders
i will get in customise business from ap,po and inv.what are they.

Hi,
As Russ says, yes you can take the supplied folders and copy these into your own custom Business Area - then add or subtract to them as much as you like.
How you join them will depend on your APPS set up - assuming that the joins supplied by Oracle do not fit your purpose.
You can also join your own simple/custom folders to these standard folders - again this depends on what you want to report and how you have set up your APPS (use of DFFs, custom tables etc)

    it is recommended to have only one active enhancement set per client.
    For your businessrole you could use the role configuration key.
    In our system each businessrole has it´s own role configuration key. But we implemented also a BADI if no configuration is found use our company default role configuration key and only if there is also no configuration use SAP .

    use tcode SE37 to create a NEW form with the name z_xxxxxxx, and in any of edit screen, you can follow the menu path "Form -> Copy From ...", choose the standard form.
    2. How can i check the print program of a certain form?
    There are some database table for store the information, such as, TNAPR ... and so on.
    3. How can I convert sapscripts form into smartforms?
    It's something difficult to covert sapscripts into smartforms, for more details, you can read the SAP COURSE BC470.
    B.About REPORTS...
    4. How can i set the page length and width of a report?
    In the ABAP editor, put the cursor on the keyword REPORT, and press F1, you will get what you want.
    5. How can i set the margins(left, right, top, bottom) of a report?
    Use WRITE and SKIP.

  • Same folders in different business areas

    Hi,
    Is it possible to access folders across business areas?
    I was not able to do the above so I created (New folder from database) the same folder into 2 different business areas. But I cannot have the same names. Why? I see some folders created previously with the same names in both the business areas. Is there some other way?

    Hello everyone
    Business area names, folder names, and join names are unique across the system. It is possible to have the same folder in multiple business areas and this is not uncommon. It is also possible to reference the same object using multiple folders, making sure the identifier and folder names are unique.
    If you have a folder that you want to duplicate, rather than share between business areas, you can highlight the folder in one area, copy it using CTRL-C, and the using CTRL-V paste it into the other area. Doing this gives you a copy of the folder pointing at the same underlying object. This is useful if you want to reference the same object several times, say for aliasing purposes or for ease of querying. I do this all the time when working with fiscal time folders and it works like a dream.

    I'm glad you figured it out. I was thrown off by literally interpreting the term "list" I guess
    In truth, a "mailing list" of multiple recipients, when applied to a particular email message is nothing more than a "comma de-limited list" of the addresses. Some mail clients add < > on either end of the individual addresses

    in the old days, we would just keep a text file an add to the end as needed.
    lists are commonly used as 'Mini-databases' in Adobe(Macromedia) Director, my everyday tool for years. A list of lists, then becomes a bigger database as does a list of a (list of lists), and so on

    we are not in new GL and we are still in Classic G/L and we have two business areas where we are doing cross business transactions and clinet want tallied trail balance of each month.
    How can we achive the above situtaion. I know new G/L where systeom will take care for tallied trail balance by using Zero balance clearing account.

    Usually  when there is a need to change/create an adapter object, I suggest to change object class to CUSTOMIZING in R3AC1. Then save it and call transaction R3AC3. There do necessary changes and afterwards switch back to original object class. There is no copy functionality for adapter objects. Kindly use transaction R3AC3 to create a new adapter object and maintain all tabs according to your requirements. When you are finished, kindly change the object class "CUSTOMIZING" to the original class name you're copying and the new adapter object will be visible in R3AC1.

  • Copying business areas vs managing folders

    Hi all,
    I am currently implementing the standard Oracle EUL alongside a bespoke one, but as ever 'standard' is not going to be completely that. So I have copied the standard business areas by exporting, renaming and importing in order to end up with a new business area that I can add to, take away from and generally mould to fit the business without destroying the original Oracle one.
    This does mean that each folder needs to be renamed (as importing obviously won't let you keep an existing name) etc etc, so I'm now wondering whether it would have been a better idea to create a new BA and then share the existing folders using 'manage folders' etc thus keeping an even more vanilla version. presumably the down side of this would be recreating joins etc.
    Does anyone have any opinions/advice on the best option here?
    Thought I should ask before I get too far down the wrong road!

    Hi,
    I have copied the standard business areas by exporting, renaming and importingProbably not a good idea. Business areas are just buckets for holding folders. You assign security to business areas and therefore the business areas can be used to control access to the folders.
    So it depends on why you want more business areas/folders. If you just need more business areas so you can more finely tune the access to the folders then you should create extra business areas and use manage folders to move the folders into the business areas. All the joins will be intact.
    If you need additional folders because they need different joins or different item classes, then you need create new folders in the business area. You can do this by copying the folders, exporting/importing or by creating complex folder that map to the original folder. My preference is to create complex folders.

  • Copying standard report transaction selection screen

    Hi  everybody,
    How can we copy standard report transaction's VI05 selection screen to my custom report transaction's selection screen some zprogram . The problem is that when i am copying the selection screen into my programs screen, it is getting copied, but not as selection screen rather as normal screen. I have defined a transaction code for the same with the custom screen no as the selection screen but its giving a message that selection screen 9001 doesn't exist. However if i keep the selection screen as 1000 the screen in the standard transaction VI05 the transaction is executing fine.
    But again the problem was that although it seems that the screen 1000 of the standard program for VI05 has been copied to my custom program but its not showing in the object list of my custom program. so I cannot do any changes which i require.
    If anybody requires any clarification u can raise your doubts i will try to make it more clear.
    Can any body help me with this?

    Hi Prem,
    Even if the GUI Status is active, you cannot see two components of Standard Selection Screen.
    1. All Selections - Push Button
    2. Categories - Screen Block in the first with two options
         2.1. OI_STAND
         2.2. OI_BULK
    This is becoz, there are enhancement spots included in the Standard program and the enhancement spots will not be copied, unless you copy them manually.
    Check the same.

  • Not able to view Folders in Business area.

    User has been given access to XYZ business area from discoverer Admin but not able to view folders in Discoverer Plus (web based) but he can view the folders under same business area (ie XYZ) using Discoverer Desktop Application. Only one user is facing the problem other users with same business area (ie. XYZ) can view all the folders under that business area. User tried on other PC also but result the same.

    I faced same kind of problem some time back & found JInitiator as the cause. Try unintalling older Installation of JInitiator & reinstall it & it should work.

  • How can I copy/paste text from one page to another?

    I feel like I am taking crazy pills... is there really no way to copy a text box (or group) from one page to another while creating books in Aperture 3?  Lets say I have my entire book laid out and I want to add one paragraph at the end on one page which will push text and photos down a half page or so... in most programs for the last decade or so they added really cool functionality... cut/paste...  It seems like the apple developers are aware of it because they are in the context menus but they don't work on text, only photo boxes.  Additionally, you can copy/paste text but it erases all formatting.
    Seriously, am I missing something?  I have trouble believing that they can't include this function.
    Anyone else have this issue?

    Update... it seems to only happen with text boxes which I create.  So when I try an existing theme I can cut/copy/paste just fine, but in that same theme if you edit the layout and add a new text box, I can't copy paste it anywhere... the options are in the menu but nothing happens.
    Thoughts? Solutions?
