Can we pass Iterator dynamically to af:table?
I have about 10 tables that is supposed to be represented dynamicly in an ADF table on one jspx page. All tables have 8 columns that are identical.
I have plan to create 10 VO's but one Jspx page..Depending upon the user selection i am trieng to pass Iterator to the Jspx table. I am not sure wether it is possible or not .
I knew by passing dynamic list we can create a table.
But instead i am trieng to acheve this by passing Iteratot Dynamiclly.
Can any body help me how to approach in this situation?
Thanks in Advance.
Hi Krithika,
I had solved the problem by using setQuery() for VO even without creating the 10 vo's also .I have created VO called commonTestVO ,depending on the user selction simply dynamically setting the VO query.
Here is my solution :
private void processValueChangeEvent(ValueChangeEvent event) {
if (event.getNewValue().equals("value1")) {
// sets the iterator required for the table
DCIteratorBinding iterator = ADFUtils.findIterator("TestVOiterator");
ViewObject vo = iterator.getViewObject();
vo.setFullSqlMode(vo.FULLSQL_MODE_AUGMENTATION);
vo.setQuery("select * from Test_vw where rownum <10");
vo.executeQuery();
} else if (event.getNewValue().equals("value2")) {
/ DCIteratorBinding iterator = ADFUtils.findIterator("TestVOiterator");
ViewObject vo = iterator.getViewObject();
vo.setFullSqlMode(vo.FULLSQL_MODE_AUGMENTATION);
vo.setQuery("select * from Test_vw2 where rownum <10");
vo.executeQuery();
Jspx Code :
<af:table value="#{bindings.TestVO.collectionModel}" var="row"
rows="#{bindings.TestVO.rangeSize}"
first="#{bindings.TestVO.rangeStart}"
emptyText="#{bindings.TestVO.viewable ? 'No rows yet.' : 'Access Denied.'}"
binding="#{backing_jsp_webutils_TableTest.table1}"
id="table1">
<af:column sortProperty="LookupId" sortable="false"
headerText="#{bindings.TestVO.labels.LookupId}"
binding="#{backing_jsp_webutils_TableTest.column11}"
id="column11">
<af:inputText value="#{row.LookupId}"
required="#{bindings.TestVO.attrDefs.LookupId.mandatory}"
columns="#{bindings.TestVO.attrHints.LookupId.displayWidth}"
binding="#{backing_jsp_webutils_TableTest.inputText1}"
id="inputText1">
<f:convertNumber groupingUsed="false"
pattern="#{bindings.TestVO.formats.LookupId}"/>
</af:inputText>
</af:column>
<af:column sortProperty="LookupType" sortable="false"
headerText="#{bindings.TestVO.labels.LookupType}"
binding="#{backing_jsp_webutils_TableTest.column12}"
id="column12">
<af:inputText value="#{row.LookupType}" simple="true"
required="#{bindings.TestVO.attrDefs.LookupType.mandatory}"
columns="#{bindings.TestVO.attrHints.LookupType.displayWidth}"
binding="#{backing_jsp_webutils_TableTest.inputText2}"
id="inputText2"/>
</af:column>
</af:table>
but data type and columns size should be sam efor the both tabless or views/.

How can i pass calculated value to internal table
Hi
i have to pass calculated value into internal table
below field are coming from database view and i' m passing view data into iznew1
fields of iznew1

and now i want to pass
one field ED1 which i has calculated separatly and i want to pass this value into iznew1
but error is coming that iznew1 is a table with out header line has no component like ED1.
so how can i pass calculated value to internal table iznew1,When you declare your internal table , make an addtion occurs 0
eg . data : begin of iznew occurs 0 ,
fields ...
add the field here ed1.
end of iznew.
now when you are calculating the value of ed1,
you can pass the corresponding value of ed1 and modify table iznew.
eg
loop at iznew.
iznew-ed1 = ed1.
modify iznew.
endloop. -
OIM Reporting: How to pass a dynamic parameter in the xml file
Hi,
I am generating a custom report in OIM. My stored procedure is ready and I am getting the required data when I query the database. However,while displaying it through the xml file, I need to filter the fetched data by group name. The glitch present here is that the group name is dependent on the resource selected and so the group parameter is dynamic. How can I pass this dynamic group parameter in the xml file to filter the data. Which attributes are to be used. Can anyone please help me out regarding this?
Thanks in Advance,
SKThe OOTB OIM reporting mechanism does not support dependant LOVs, which is
what you are asking for. -
How to pass messages dynamically in screen
Hello Experts,
How can I pass messges dynamically in my module pool program screen.
Suppose for example It has to specify like value and name of a particular item in that message ..
ThanksHi Prashanth,
Message handling in ABAP Programs are done to display the status of the user interaction. This can be handled very well from the Screen or Module pool programing with the help of the following set of Function Modules.
Function Group : SBAL
Function Module : BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD
Infact based on your requirement, use these entire set of function modules to populate the messages on the screen. This will automatically populate the messages on your behalf and you can then display all the valid set of status for the users.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Samantak. -

Edited by: Rob Burbank on Mar 2, 2009 4:29 PMHi,
In the calling program whereyou are calling the subroutine...
perform get_data(ZSD_CARRIER_SELECTION)
TABLES KAPPL
KSCHL
KUNNR
MATNR
CHANGING <dyn_table>.
you have made use of field symbol <dyn_table> which you have not assigned.... due to which you are getting a dump....
so before the call you have to assign this field symbol and then use it in the call...
just assing to some dummy type and then you pass it using changing...
later on in the called program you can unassign the field-symbol as soon as you enter in the subroutine.
data itab type standard table of scarr.
assign itab to <dyn_table>.
perform get_data(ZSD_CARRIER_SELECTION)
TABLES KAPPL
KSCHL
KUNNR
MATNR
CHANGING <dyn_table>.
even if this does not solve your problem try debugging and check at which line it is going for a dump... so that it gives a clear idea where exactly is the fault

Passing the Dynamic Internal Table as the Output Parameter of the FM...
Hi,
How can we pass the internal table as the output from the Function Module TABLES parameter.
SELECT * FROM TVRO BYPASSING BUFFER INTO TABLE <ltable>.
Now I need to pass the dynamic internal table <ltable> as the output in the function module.
Thanks!
Puneet.I can't use TVRO as the table type. The Table name is as the Input. This program will download the contents of the table and create an app server file. It can be for any database table.
so i want the output of this FM should be the data from that table. So what should be the TABLE type.
like in a program i will use:::
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <ltable> TYPE ANY TABLE,
<l_line> TYPE ANY,
<l_field> TYPE ANY.
SELECT * FROM (p_table) BYPASSING BUFFER INTO TABLE <ltable>.
That is my requirement. -
How can I pass multiple condition in where clause with the join table?
Hi:
I need to collect several inputs at run time, and query the record according to the input.
How can I pass multiple conditions in where clause with the join table?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
TDIf you are using SQL-Plus or Reports you can use lexical parameters like:
SELECT * FROM emp &condition;
When you run the query it will ask for value of condition and you can enter what every you want. Here is a really fun query:
SELECT &columns FROM &tables &condition;
But if you are using Forms. Then you have to change the condition by SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY.
Best of luck! -

How can we pass the entire rows of a table to a web service in a VC model ?
Hi,
On the click of the submit button, I have to pass the rows of two tables into an enterprise service. This service also takes other fields of a form as an input.
How can we pass the entire rows of a table into a service ?
Regards,
NitinHi Nitin,
It seems that you have two or three different structures to pass data using your webservice. In your main question, two tables, you can join both in one table and from there call the webservice. In order to pass the entire table you need:
1. Draw a line between your joinned table and your service,
2. Map the fields,
3. Create a 'SUBMIT' in your table tool bar. Right click on your table and choose 'Create Toobar', '+', name and choose 'Submit' as your event.
4. Go to Configure Element (Table View) 'Multiple' at Selection Mode.
Reward points if helps you to solve your question.

How to change the iterator collection for a table dynamically?
Hi all,
I am required to change the table iterator dynamically based on the some logic. Is this possible?
Attempted this by trying to set "value" using a bean -
value=#{backingBeanScope.chkBean.getCollectionModel}
This bean method returns either of the below based on condition =
#{bindings.MyVO1.collectionModel}
#{bindings.MyVO2.collectionModel}
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Srinihave multiple VO instances and the pagedef
iterator Binds="#{pageFlowScope.OrderBean.pageIterList.pageIterId}"
in the bean:
public Map getPageIterList() {
return itrMap;
another method in the bean:
itrMap = new HashMap();
put value(vo instance) for pageIterId in this map and call this method in the TF. -
Can I pass a table function parameter like this?
This works. Notice I am passing the required table function parameter using the declared variable.
DECLARE @Date DATE = '2014-02-21'
SELECT
h.*, i.SomeColumn
FROM SomeTable h
LEFT OUTER JOIN SomeTableFunction(@Date) I ON i.ID = h.ID
WHERE h.SomeDate = @Date
But I guess you can't do this?... because I'm getting an error saying h.SomeDate cannot be bound. Notice in this one, I am attempting to pass in the table function parameter from the SomeTable it is joined to by ID.
DECLARE @Date DATE = '2014-02-21'
SELECT
h.*, i.SomeColumn
FROM SomeTable h
LEFT OUTER JOIN SomeTableFunction(h.SomeDate) I ON i.ID = h.ID
WHERE h.SomeDate = @DateHi
NO you cant pass a table function parameter like this?
As When you declare @date assign value to it and pass as a parameter it will return table which you can use for join as you did it in first code
But when you pass date from some other table for generating table from your funtion it doesnt have date as it is not available there
