Can we put Join Query with Expdp in Query Parameter
Dear All
Can we put join condition like
A.roll_no=B.roll_no
in query clause of EXPDP utility of Oracle 10g.
My parameter file is
INCLUDE=TABLE:"IN ('A','B')"
QUERY ="where roll_no between 1 and 100 "
then it works and export the data. But I want Above condition.
But when I specify it gives ORA-39001 error.
If possible, How and Can you specify example.

I'm trying to put movies onto my hard drive but i can't put the files with the same name onto the hard drive , finder won't let me change the name. What am i doing wrong?
Make a new folder and put them in that different folder. Then the names can be the same as others already on your drive.

Hi All,
Do I have a way to run a MDX query with a DMX query? (Avoiding the “link server” options… )
I need to get the cube last update date like this DMX query:
SELECT 1
as CubeStatus
FROM $System.MDSCHEMA_CUBES
where
format(LAST_DATA_UPDATE,
'dd/MM/yyyy') = format(now(),
'dd/MM/yyyy') --"1" means that the cube was processed, NULL cube did not process today
and cube_source = 1
and cross reference it to a result I get from this MDX query:
with
member measures.LastDateCube
as [Comm Date UTC].[Date].currentmember.PROPERTIES("KEY")
select measures.LastDateCube
on 0 from comms
the purpose of this is to know for sure that my current member (date integer) is equal to the cube last update date. thus, making sure the cube was processed and I get the correct member I expect.
What do you think?
Thank you
Yoni.Hi yonibiel,
According to your description, you want to combine a DMX query with a MDX query. Right?
In SQL Server, it is not supported to parse the MDX query without connecting the SSAS database server. So if you want to combine the DMX and MDX query into one dataset, the only way is using linked server to SSAS in openquery() function.
In this scenario, if you render these data from two result sets for reporting purpose, I assume you using SSRS, you can create two datasets and use lookup() to combine data fields from two datasets into one data region.

How can I settle invoicing plan with defining withholding TAX Parameter
Dear All
Please kindly help me to answer this question, How can I settle invoicing plan with defining withholding TAX Parameter.
I've already create PO Framework Order by specify Invoicing Plan Periodic automatic settlement.
But, We can found with holding tax parameter on the tab of invoicing plan in PO.
Please help me.Hi,
From my understandinging in case of withholding tax there is no provision to manage from procurement side.
At the time of MIRO or payment run users have to select the applicable
withholding tax code ( During MIRO withholding tax pop up will appear).
Withholding tax is a component within FI: FI-AP-AP-Q

Executing query with arguments- issue when parameter value contains '&'
My application inserts 'First name', last name' and last upd date to the table. it inserts all the data properly. Next level I access the information along with other tables using same arguments. But it is not fetching any data. I noticed it happens whenever the '&' is included in the parameter (first name). eg:
'Margaret & John'. From the logs I noticed that first name it is not taking what I passed. It just stripping the first name from '&' onwards and taking only 'Margaret'. Here is the example from the log. You could notice only 'Margaret' instead of 'Margaret & John' in place of first argument.
<2007-03-29 11:35:51,425> <DEBUG> <default.collaxa.cube.ws> <Database Adapter::Outbound> <oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBInteraction executeOutboundRead> Executing query with arguments [Margaret , Cohen, 2007-03-29T11:35:51-06:00]
Appreciate your help if you could give me a hint how to resolve this issue
Thanks
ReddyHi Reddy,
from the log it looks like the DbAdapter received the value as 'Margaret '. Because parameter binding is used by default, the database shouldn't try to interpret the & as it is inside a bind variable.
Could it be that the & is getting dropped somewhere else? Marc was suggesting you put that value inside a CDATA section or escape it. He probably showed that but when he hit Post Message it displayed the escaped & as &. I think we should find out where that & got dropped though. Normally BPEL will preserve it.
Thanks

Can someone please help me with a sub query question?
I need to list a 3rd party contract and then a list of students who belong to that contract.
On the students segment of the listing I need to show students with student id, name, total credit hours,
total amount spent on tuition, total amount spent on books and total amount spent on misc.
This code has a query for the contract information and I get that just fine.
Then it has a query that gives me total credit hours and that works fine
then it has a query that gives me total amount spent on tuition and that works fine
but
when I add the next query to get total amount spent on books I get only the information for the contract, I don't get student stuff anymore.
I would really appreciate any guidance that you could give.
Thanks in advance, Bob Hohulski

Using sql query with parameter
OK, I can't find any docs on this. I can insert a parameter, but how do I insert that into the sql query?
Your first post asked how to insert a paremeter into a SQL. My example shows a value read query with a SQL function, but any SQL will work with any Query in the same pattern.
a) You call the query with session.executeQuery(query, vectorOfArguments);
b) You use #argument in the SQL string and then query.addArgument("argument");
c) You pass them in a Vector of the order in which you do the addArgument's.

How can I put two files with the same name and the same extention into the same directory?
Is this even possible?
Thanks in advance.Are you sure? I would be very surprised if that was the case.
How does the computer/filing system differentiate the files, if not by their names?
How do you tell the computer which one you want? (On the command line.) -

There is no limit to the number of tables you can outer join as long as you join them correctly.
