Can we read bfile using Ibatis

Question

Hi,
I am using ibatis-sqlmap 2.3.4.726 and trying to access/read bfile using following mapping
<resultMap id="userResult" class="UserObject">
<result property="id" column="id"/>
<result property="name" column="name"/>
          <result property="blobData" column="bfile_column" jdbcType="BLOB"/>
</resultMap>
<select id="getById" resultMap="userResult" parameterClass="java.lang.String">
SELECT id, name, bfile_column
FROM bfile_table
WHERE id = #value#
</select>
but I am getting following error
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: org.springframework.jdbc.UncategorizedSQLException: SqlMapClient operation; uncategorized SQLException for SQL []; SQL state [null]; error code [22289];

My question is does ibatis support Bfile column in oracel. If so , can anyone give a hint or sample code.
