Can we run Scheduler based on other scheduler status?

I have developed several interfaces in MII 14.0 version. Those interfaces have to run once in a day. So i have created Scheduler for each and every interface. Now they are asking us to put a logic that, 2nd scheduler should run after completion of first scheduler only.
Is there any possibility to do like this in MII?

Hi,
As per my knowledge there is no direct way of achieving this, but you can do it by adding logic in Interface (BLS).
Below is the logic :
Suppose you have two interfaces A and B, define a Persistent or Inline variable(P) in A which will update the variable with Flat as "X". Now in interface B, write a condition if P=="X" then execute else terminate.
Also, dont forget to set the flag value as Blank once B executed successfully.
Hope this help .
Thanks

  • Reports 6i without report server, can I run schedule report job ?

I use Reports 6i, no Report Server, can I run schedule job to print reports in the midnight?....In server side is better, but if in client side will be ok...
    Thanks

Yes, you can run a schedule job to print reports at a scheduled time. Below is how (done in command prompt):
    h:\>at /?
The AT command schedules commands and programs to run on a computer at
a specified time and date. The Schedule service must be running to use
    the AT command.
    AT [\\computername] [ [id] [DELETE] | /DELETE [YES]]
    AT [\\computername] time [INTERACTIVE]
        [ /EVERY:date[,...] | /NEXT:date[,...]] "command"
\\computername     Specifies a remote computer. Commands are scheduled on the
local computer if this parameter is omitted.
id                 Is an identification number assigned to a scheduled
                       command.
/delete            Cancels a scheduled command. If id is omitted, all the
scheduled commands on the computer are canceled.
/yes               Used with cancel all jobs command when no further
                       confirmation is desired.
time               Specifies the time when command is to run.
/interactive       Allows the job to interact with the desktop of the user
who is logged on at the time the job runs.
/every:date[,...]  Runs the command on each specified day(s) of the week or
month. If date is omitted, the current day of the month
                       is assumed.
/next:date[,...]   Runs the specified command on the next occurrence of the
day (for example, next Thursday).  If date is omitted, the
current day of the month is assumed.
"command"          Is the Windows NT command, or batch program to be run.
h:\>for "command" - you may want to consider writing a batch program to call your report.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can XE run scheduled jobs against java code

I am integrating into GetResponse (www.GetResponse.com) using their API using Java. My  program flow is basically have my Data in CSV file be read by Java code which uses the GetResponseAPI to upload the data to my GetResponse account.
Can this be process be scheduled to run in Oracle XE i.e  have Java code automated to run once a day?

However, when I put my server program to the LIVE server outside the network the client side says cannot connect to the server because: Connection Error, Connection refused: connect. So I read some stuff about firewall and NAT on the web but i was shamed that I don't understand there is any solution to this. What do you want us to do? You already know that the problem probably is that you need to open port 9999 in the firewall, and you probably also need to configure it for port forwarding.
Most clients will be able to connect after that, but some might still have problems. E.g. some companies don't allow clients to connect to other ports than a few well known ones (e.g. 21, 80 and 443)

  • Can i run windows based games on boot camp

i set up and installed windows XP on my mac mini..i have no idea how to switch from mac os x to windows other then restart and hold the option key down..i was wondering if it is possible to put windows in my mac os x dock, and if i can play windows based games on it..

    Hi,
in order to use a BootCamp Windows you have to reboot your Mac. There is no other way.
You might wanna tryout BootPicker http://www.apple.com/education/resources/bootpicker/ instead of the Option-key.
To run Windows alongside OSx you have to use some Virtualization app, like the free VirtualBox or the commercial Parallels or VMWare Fusion.
But all of them are not really meant to run games.

  • Running query based on other query result

    Hi Again Friends.
first of all i am very much thankful for members who sent me prompt response and been helping for last 2 days.I am again with query, maybe a lame one.
I want to run a query based on record return from previous query.FOr instance i have query
    Select sum(marks) from studentMarks,student_id where course_Id=4 and student_Id
    IN
(Select StudentId from Student where dept_id=3)
the courseID and studentID are being repeated in the above table
now I want to show Student Names with the marks Obtained and who belong to dept_id=3,i want to run other query to get Name based on StudentId resutned from previous one.
Is there anyway to do this in oracle to save result in some resultSe and use it later?
    Thankyou

    Do you mean something like:
    Select sum(marks), S.StudentId, S.StudentName
    from StudentMarks M
    ,      Student          S
    where S.course_Id=4
    and  M.Student_id = S.StudentId
    and S.student_Id
    IN
(Select StudentId from Student where dept_id=3)
    group by StudentId, StudentName

  • Can I run DSCC as user other than noaccess?

Running DS 6.3 on Sparc Solaris 10. Using package install; when I perform the dsccsetup initialize, the DSCC directory is created but runs under the noaccess userid. I would like to run this process under a different user. So I tried the following:
    Stopped the DSCC.
    Modified the dse.ldif under /var/opt/SUNWdsee/dscc6/dcc/ads/config:
    changed nsslapd-localuser: noaccess to
    nsslapd-localuser: someuserid
Changed directory and file ownership to new userid
    chown -R someuserid /var/opt/SUNWdsee/dscc6/dcc
    Started the DSCC.
The process starts up fine and reports no errors, but when I try to access the DSCC under the webconsole, it reports an error on the web page that it has a problem accessing the DSCC configuration data.
Is it possible to change the DSCC user id? If so, how?

    Thanks for the suggestion etst123.
Unfortunately modifying the state file did not make a difference. Like before, the DSCC directory instance starts up as the new user id I specify, reports no errors, and I can even issue an ldapsearch from the command line and successfully get the contents of the DSCC directory data.
Given that, I'm wondering if there is something more that needs to be done in getting webconsole or cacao updated with the change. Problems seem to be simply accessing the DSCC thru the web interface. Instead of getting the web page prompting me for the DSCC admin username and password, I get a page with an "Unexpected Error" message indicating there is a problem reading the DSCC configuration data.
Unfortunately there is very little documentation associated with tweaking the DSCC.

  • Can't run kate, gedit and others, few craches...whats wrong?

    Hey guys,
I'm running into some troubles since a couple of days... I was working on a way to give parameters to X while launching it from kdm and now there are some things that don't work.
If I launch kate or gedit from a terminal, nothing happens, as if the program was still launching. But nothing. No cpu usage or other signs of activity. I've tryed waiting but after 5 minutes I was borred so I pressed ctrl+c to close the program.
Same thing if I launch gedit. gvim still works.
Also, if I'm in konqueror and type / as the url, X freezes. If i click a bookmark pointing to /home/me/ konqueror freezes but not X.
I then try to "save as" something from firefox and firefox freezes....
I sometimes get a fullscreen window opening from nowhere and then close imidiatly. It's too fast to see if it is a kate or gedit or other window...
What could be wrong?? Even if I try to set back my original settings, it still happens. I've tryed moving ~/.kde to ~/.kde.bak, an old (and working) /etc/X11/xorg.conf, nothing works...:(
    Thank you for your help...

  • How can I run EJB Client in other computer ?

    Hello,
I'm trying to run converter examples.
if ejb client pgm resides on a same machine with j2ee server , it works fine.
But when I put client pgm on a different maching
    below message show.
No application client descriptors defined for: ConverterClinet
I put ConverterApp.ear, ConverterAppClient.jar and ConverterClient.class on the machine and
    set APPCPATH=ConverterAppClient.jar
    set VMARGS=-Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost=xxx.xxx.xx.xx
What should I do to run ejb client on different machine?

    Hi SangHPark,
I had the same problem but have solved it and it works.
I ran the client remotely from a win98 box.
    Keep two things in mind
1> Deploy the applications to an ip address and not to the local host using the deploy too. Use the deploy tool Gui to add a new server and then deploy the application to this ip address.
    2> I am running j2ee version 1.3 and jsdk 1.3
Use the following code but instead of using "java:comp/env/ejb/SimpleConverter" use the jndi name of the object: "MyConverter" as specified in the tutorial.
    Properties prop = new Properties();
    prop.setProperty(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,"com.sun.enterprise.naming.SerialInitContextFactory");
    prop.setProperty(Context.PROVIDER_URL,"IIOP://xxx.xx.x.xxx:1050");
    System.out.println("Attempting to create context...");
    Context initial = new InitialContext(prop);
// Instead of this use the below line of code
    //Object objref = initial.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/SimpleConverter");
    Object objref = initial.lookup("MyConverter");
// MyConverter is the Jndi name of the ConverterBean as per the tutorial
You need to do the following things.
1> After making changes to the code recompile using Ant and redeploy it.
2> Copy the j2ee.jar, ConverterAppClient.jar and ConverterClient.class file to the machine that u want to run the client from.
3> create a directory called "config" on the remote machine where you copied the files in step two.
4> Copy to this directory the files ejb.properties and security.properties from your j2ee_home\config\ directory.
For example you copied the files in step 2 on the remote machine in the c:\test directory. Create c:\test\config directory and copy the files from step 4 into this directory.
5> Run the following command from the directory where u copied the client files
java -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBInitialHost="host name" -classpath .\j2ee.jar;.;.\ConverterAppClient.jar ConverterClient

  • How can i run Java class form  other java application.

    Hi ,
I have problem to run java class from my java application,
I am using the class ClassLoader in order to launched the Java class , its work fine whenever, the class exist in the same folder , however , when i am trying to run class that is not in the current folder ,
    i got error (see below),
Do you have any idea what is wrong?
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
         at SimpleClassLoader.loadClass(SimpleClassLoader.java:110)
         at SimpleClassLoader.loadClass(SimpleClassLoader.java:53)
         at Run.main(Run.java:31)

What does "run an class" mean? You don't run classes. They're not executables.
I bet your problem is the classpath. You are aware that the classloader looks only there? Unless it's an UrlClassLoader.

    THANK ALL !

Agree with Nicolas. You need to modify connection string to point to proper server name. This might help in getting proper name of instance.

  • Run Scheduled Tasks with MSA on 2008R2

Is it actually possible for a scheduled ask to under with an sMSA as opposed to a gMSA?
I have created an sMSA, added it to a server computer running 2008R2 and installed the sMSA. Now running the command
    schtasks /CHange /TN taskName /RU
    sMSA_Name$ /RP ""
gives error : Logon Failure: unknown username or bad password
    Any ideas? Thanks!!

    Hi,
Based on my research, Standalone Managed Service Account can only be used to run services, but not to be used to run scheduled tasks on Windows Server 2008 R2.
    More information for you:

  • Shift running schedule

I have an 18 week running schedule that I'd like to be able to re-use multiple times by shifting the entire works throughout various times of the year. Is there any simple/quick way of doing this other than shift/selecting each and every daily event for 18 weeks? I find myself getting halfway through the selection process, and then accidentally missing clicking on an event and then have all my previous selections disappear.

Does the schedule repeat contiguously? In that case the best solution would probably be to turn each even into a repeating event, repeating at 18 weeks (plus any regular delay between schedules):
It's going to be a bore to set up (though at least you won't have the shift-click problem) but once done it will look after itself.
Of course if there's a variable delay before the schedule starts again, then I'm afraid there probably isn't any easy way to accomplish that.
You might like to consider BusyCal, which has a list view where you can click the top of the list and shift-click the bottom of the list to select everything between: I don't know how easy it is to paste this back into different dates (possibly by going back into monthly view) - there is a trial on the website so you could experiment.

  • Bat file for running scheduled jobs

    Hi
I am not entirely sure whether this is the correct forum to post this question, so apologies if I have posted this question in the wrong place.
Anyhow, I would like to know how to create two automated bat file scripts that will execute a PL/SQL package that will tell my Oracle 10g R2 database to run a scheduled job. Equally, I need another bat file to tell it to drop the scheduled job.
I already have a PL/SQL package that creates a schedule job using dbms_scheduler, and I can execute the scheduled job by going into SQL Plus running the execute command against the package. It is this latter bit, the execute part that I want to automate into bat file.
Can someone show me how to do this?

I'm in complete agreement with Hans. Oracle has two facilities DBMS_JOB and DBMS_SCHEDULER neither of which benefits in any way be being called by a batch file.
What is your version number (all of it) and why are you considering this idea?
