                     Our scenario is call a webservice ( wrapped form of RFC) from a external java application which will pass the input to that webservice and get back the result .
                      How XI will play a role here ?
                      Can we wrap a rfc as web service ?
                       Any blogs for that ?
                      Can you please give a brief details about this ?

my doubt is how to catch the error that i see in SXI_MONITOR y put it in a Sub-Objetc.
For example: in sxi_monitor i get the error for my interface NMUCustomer: "No receiver could not be found" or "Error Mapping Traformation".
I created an Object called ZNMUCUSTOMER and a Sub-Objetc called ZERROR.
what i must do to get the error I see in monitor and assign it to Sub-Object??

then use the following in ABAP mapping ..
TRACE1,TRACE2,TRACE3.... for trace level 1,2,3......

Can we control the top level navigation in portal from a java application

Hello,
I am having a scenario where User logged in to portal and assigned with 2 roles (HOME , ISA(Java application)). When user opened a form in ISA (Java application) and tried to enter the data in form and moved to another tab (e.g. HOME) in top level navigation.
When user come back to ISA (Java application) TAB , we show the page where he left earlier. I would like to know if user click any other TAB in top level navigation (Role assigned to him) while working on a page in ISA(Java application) is there any way we can catch that event before he leaves from ISA (Java application JSP page) to other TAB?
How can we control the top level navigation events in the portal from a java application .Since Top level navigation is seperate par file.

Dear Rajesh,
Top Level and detailed navigation values comes with iteration in the respective par file.
Please check the par file and based on the value (i.e tab name) selected, you can write your code.

RFC as webservice and wild cards

Hi experts,
We have a custom RFC that fetches employee data based on import parameters like PERNR,FIRSTNAME,LASTNAME etc.This RFC is exposed as a WS by default(we are on ECC6.0) and is consumed by a non-SAP application.
The problem is when the calling application tries to do a wild card search in any of the field (say,FIRSTNAME),there is an error with the message like give below:
There is an error in XML document (1, 17584987).
'ўј', hexadecimal value 0x06, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 17584987
Please note that the RFC works fine in all scenarios from SE37.
Even the WS works fine for searches like 'A'.But the problem occurs only when one/any of the parameters is ''.
My questions is:Is there any restriction on using the wild card as a parameter to a WS interface?If yes,how to have a workaround on this?

Had to uninstall iWork trial since I bought the pages app and it wouldn't let me print or save. Now the app store says I have pages installed but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it. I'm not very computer savvy and am getting frustrated!

Ooops, guess I didn't need to post everything in the title - sorry! I bought the pages app - but couldn't save or print so with some online searching found that I had to uninstall the iWork trial which had expired. I did that - but now I can't figure out how to re-install the pages app!! The app store says it's installed, but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it. I'm not very computer savvy - and am a first time Mac user and am getting extremely frustrated! I e-mailed some help center and they can't seem to help me either. I would appreciate any help/advice that can fix my problem - thanks in advance!!

OK Apple has stuffed up the demo version upgrade process so the first thing you need to do is get rid of the demo.
That includes getting rid of the files in the system.
The instructions how to do that are here:
Note That where you see / that is the sequence of folders, each nested inside each other.
User/Library/Preferences the com.apple.iwork.Keynote.plist
Means the User (you, the little home icon, whatever you are called on your computer) then the Library folder inside that and then the Preferences folder inside that.
Lion initially hides the System folders from you so you have to go to the Finder > Menu > hold down the option key and click on GO > Library to see it.

You found them ... where? Are they in Safari somewhere?
If so, do Settings > Safari > Clear History and Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data
If that doesn't clear them (and they are from Safari), try Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data and clear that area.

In the printer driver (accessed through the Page Setup button) set the Advanced tab to borderless. Then in the right hand panel under Layout set all the margins to zero.

iOS 7 does not support multiple user accounts like you want.
If all the apps are different, you could set her up with her own page of apps, then just show her how to get to her apps page, or just buy her an iPad for herself.
