Can you export aperture file in bmp format?

Question

I have a game that I would like to combine picture files with, the game only recognizes bmp files. I import the files (as bmp files) into Aperture and edit them and when I export them they always come out as jpeg files. Is there anyway I can export them in the bmp format?

Using Applescript it is possible to do the conversion using Image Events.  This script (modified from a script I found online) will convert the selected image into BMP format saving it as a new file:
set this_file to choose file without invisibles
set the target_file to (choose file name default name "newimage.bmp")
-- convert file reference in alias format to path string
set the target_path to the target_file as Unicode text

  -- start the Image Events application
  launch
  -- open the image file
                    set this_image to open this_file
  -- save in new file
  save this_image as BMP in target_path with icon
