Can you import the graphic equalizer presets from 1.5 into 3.0?

Is there a way to import the graphic equalizer presets from AA 1.5 into 3.0?  I want to use the "Destination: Car Stereo" preset.

It's actually pretty simple to do, but I have to warn you that because the effects were rewritten in Audition 3, transferring presets means that they won't necessarily sound the same, I'm afraid. Also, make sure that you've installed the patch first, so you're running 3.0.1.
Process goes like this: Find your Audition.ini file (this is in C:Documents and Settings\{username}Application Data\Adobe\Audition\1.5 - these files might be hidden; you have to unhide them first), and to play safe, make a copy of it. Pick up the copy and drop it on the Audition 3 icon on your desktop. Yes I know this sounds a bit strange, but just do it! What will happen after a few seconds is that Audition 3 will open, but you'll get a number of dialog boxes telling you what's going on, and asking for permission to overwrite anything that has the same name. Essentially it will transfer every 1.5 preset you have into 3.0.1.

    Hi,
There is a VI called "dsc_TagEditorLauncher.vi" under "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\project\lvdsc" folder that can be used to launch the TCE programmatically. I hope this helps.

    Hi,
Upgrading graphics chips on laptops is very difficult and mostly impossible because the chips are soldered to the motherboard. You can upgrade the graphics chip by replacing the motherboard with a compatible one which has a more powerful graphics chip. In your case it is a mobo with an Nvidia GF GT650M with 2GB of DDR5 RAM. However, the motherboard costs approx $600. The part number you need is:  682040-001.
It looks like M7series laptops are compatible with Dv7-6000 series laptops. See a service manual:

  • Can you put the small DVD discs from a camcorder in the DVD slot of the iMac?

Stupid question...can you put the small DVDs from a camcorder in the DVD slot of the iMac?

That could be a challenge. If I am not mistaken that camera strictly records to DVD - RW and has no digital output connectors, is that right?
My only experience with a camera like that was a bad one. I was able to get the video off the disc using a tray-loading iMac but it was painfully slow.
iMovie (for example) is designed to work with camcorders such as those specified in this reference:
    http://help.apple.com/imovie/cameras/en/index.html
I cannot find the DCR-DVD92 in that database
You might consider finding an external USB slot-loading DVD drive, but as I say my experience was painfully slow, and you might run into file format compatibility challenges.
I am sure it's possible but it won't be as easy as importing video from something like an iPad or iPhone. I still use a camcorder on occasion but it has a FireWire port. That's easy.

  • Can you upgrade the graphics on a macbook?

I am wondering if you can upgrade the graphics card on a macbook. I've looked in the online apple store but all of the graphic cards are for mac pros or macs with G3-5 processors.
Do the current graphics on a macbook prevent you from playing games on windows when running bootcamp? I mostly play command and conquer, not a graphically demanding game. thanks.

NO, you can't upgrade the graphics card. If it's not that demanding then it would most likely be fine.

  • Can you import the video from an AVCHD Disc into FCP7  for editing?

Can the video from an AVCHD Disc be imported into FCP 7 for re-editing if you have a normal Superdrive burner?
The reason I ask is because last night our film-making club gave a show of short videos to some guests.
At the end it was decided to put them all on one DVD to send to the visitors as a memento.
However, some of the films were on AVCHD discs and I queried whether they could be copied, even in standard definition.
The "copier" said it was no problem as he had a PC and had done it before . . . . . cheeky devil!
    So can it be done . . . . . on a PC or a Mac . . . . with a standard burner?
I have just tried but nothing in the BDMV folder can be imported.

    GOT IT!
Copy the BDMV folder from the AVCHD disc to the desktop.
Use HandBrake to convert the .m2ts files to H.264
Then convert the H.264 files to an editable format.
Rather convoluted process but it works.
    Anyone know a better method?

If this page doesn't help then you will need to try contacting iTunes support (you will need to give them the serial number and activation code from the card) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes

  • Can you get the original bytes/format from a BufferedImage

Applications allows users to select file and then the contents of the files are embedded into an mp3 file, but also allow images to be dragged or copy and pasted and in vertainn cases I only recieve the image as an Image DataFlavor (new DataFlavor("image/x-java-image;class=java.awt.Image");), so I have the bufferedImage but I need to convert into a stream of bytes and I don't have the bytes or even the the orginal format of the image, or are they hidden in the BufferedImage somewhere. At the moment I'm always writing the Bufferedimage as a jpeg whereas Id prefer to write the original format if supported, not least because sometimes ImageIO actually renders the file incorrectly (#4881314 , #6444933).

    Not possible. No.

  • Can't import the address part of a text file into Address Book

I am trying to import from a text file. It simply will not let me hit OK if I try to import the address information but works fine if I omit the address.
    Any ideas? Getting very frustrated.
    Schmleff

I exported my database in a tab delimited format from palm desktop on a windows machine.
I clicked import from the address book menu, selected "from text file". It opens the import window as you would expect it to. I begin to align the data with the proper fields. If I ignore all address information, it imports just fine, but obviously with no addresses. If I try to align any address information at all, it will not let me click ok. the button clicks, but does nothing. If I unselect the address info again, its imports. No directions are available to guide me and everything looks like it should work. Begining to feel like Im in windoze world again.

  • Can you modify the roll-up schedule for child servers into the parent?

We have one parent server (which server some clients directly) and two child servers.  There appears to be a large delay (maybe 2 hours) between when a server reports into a child server and when that update reaches the parent server.  We would
like to be able to query the master server on patch night and get an up to date accounting of patch status without having to wait for the roll-up.  Is there any way to change the roll up interval or to force a roll-up on demand (say right before generating
    a report of approved patches)?
    Tom

Here is the scenario:  The clients are set for a 3 hour detection frequency, and on patch day the patches are approved at least 3 hours before the earliest patch time.  The first patch window starts at 8:00PM on patch night and the servers are
set to patch and reboot, so they start installing at 8:00 and after they finish and reboot they always report in to their reporting server within a few minutes after startup.
This scenario is almost certainly doomed on principle from the start. Consider the following sequence of events that must occur between the time you approve the updates on the USS and the client system wants to install the update (at 8:00pm).
The USS WSUS Server downloads the files for the approved updates from Microsoft. (This could run from minutes to an hour or more depending on the number of updates and available bandwidth, and I'm considering a liberal Internet connection for this activity.)
The DSS WSUS Server(s) synchronize with the USS. The first sync event following the completion of any given update download will trigger the download of that file to the DSS as well. (How often your DSS syncs will drive this delay.)
The DSS completes the download from the USS. (Like #1, this could run from minutes to hours, depending on the number of updates and available bandwidth.)
The client system executes a detection with the assigned DSS and discovers that an approved update has a file available for download. (How often your client executes a detection will drive this delay, and even with a 3-hour detection, the client only has
max TWO possible opportunities to find these updates between 10am and 8pm.)
The client system completes the download from the DSS. (And these downloads must be completed BEFORE 8pm in order for the WUA to actually schedule the updates to be installed.)
As such, the practicalities of getting from approval (even assuming mid-morning for that event) to fully downloaded by 8pm (so a total time span of ~10 hours end-to-end) is flirting with failure.
For best results to make your 8:00pm installation time, you really need to approve the updates at least 24 hours in advance, and to ensure they get to the replica servers, probably closer to 48 hours in advance, all depending on what the actual
DSS synchronization interval is, and the available connection bandwidth between the DSS and USS, and the USS and Microsoft.
We would like to be able to see if all servers have patched as soon as possible after 8:00PM so we can start troubleshooting them and get them patched.
The first hurdle here is when those systems are restarted after the updates are installed (assuming that the updates have actually gotten to the client system in time to be installed at all). The client system reports back to the assigned replica WSUS server
following the restart. That state information is then uploaded to your upstream WSUS server during the next DSS server synchronization event. In addition, the reporting events from both the client-to-DSS and DSS-to-USS are processed asynchronously inside the
    database.
The only way you could get that data "as soon as possible" is to set the client detection frequency to 2 hours, the DSS synchronization to 12 times per day, and even then, there's a potential delay of up to four hours between client restart and the
availability of that status data at the upstream WSUS server. In order to get anything more "real time" than this, you'd have to implement a managed deployment tool such as
    SolarWinds Patch Manager.
Furthermore, there are significant disadvantages to having 2-hour detections and 12x daily synchronizations, in terms of the amount of noise generated in the form of "events" reported at each of those activities a dozen or more times a day.

  • Can you change the "System Installation Account" from the Site Server Computer Account to a Service Account after the DP is configured?

When the distribution points were configured, we used the Site Server Computer Account.
Now we would like to change to a service account and remove the site server computer account from the local administrators group (and add the the service account).
Can someone provide some guidance on if this is possible, and what steps should be taken to accomplish?
    Thanks

Sure, just modify the properties of the "Site System" role in the console (in the Administration workspace under Site Configuration -> Server and Site System Roles).
Why would you do this though? It's less secure and adds an administrative burden.

  • HT5437 where is the credentials tab    and where do you import the certificate authority chain from ?

How can I get apple tv to hook up to my WPA?WPA@ enterprise using apple configure?

Same here. With "Keychain Access" I've tried to cut/paste certificates as well as keys. Tried also to import items. Nothing seems to work. On my Mac I can see the items from my iPhone though.
There is very limited information from Apple about iCloud Keychain, and it seems to be limited to the activation and authorization procedures. All toubleshooting is related to these activities too.
