I have just upgraded my computer from an older to a newer MacBook. Just wondering how I transfer my creative cloud membership to the new machine.

If you no longer want to use the membership on the older MacBook just launch an application, for example Photoshp, and choose Help > Deactivate. Your subscription is now deactivated on the older MacBook.
Since you can be activated on two machines you could use both the old and new computers.
On the new MacBook just sign in with your Adobe ID to the Apps page https://creative.adobe.com/apps. Click the Download link for an application you want to install and the first time the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) will install. You may be asked to sign in and accept a license agreement. After that the application will install. You can then install further applications from AAM.

There is no direct way of transferring one subscription type to another - you would have to phone or otherwise contact Adobe directly, and negotiate a transfer, if they are willing.

Have downloaded v4 and cant save open tabs when exiting so that they automatically open when launching v4 the next time (which is s omething I could do with V3). Please can you let me know how to set this in v4

With v3 I regularly had 5 tabs open all the time and could save these on exit so that they opened automatically the next time without me having to click individually on each one via bookmarks. V4 does not appear to allow this as a default and I cant find an option to allow it to happen. Please advise

The only thing backed up from InDesign is the limited number of settings in the Sync Settings preferences, and only if you choose that option. No design files are backed up.
If you choose to use the File Sync files feature of the Creative Cloud desktop app, you can choose to copy files for yourself or to share, but that it's turned off by default.

You can change the coding of Table Maintenance.
>> Goto SM30, give table name and goto Display/Maintain mode and copy all the GUI status from standard program into your function group. Add sort button in the GUI Status of Maintain & Display mode.
>> Goto to tablemaintenance screen generated using SE51.
>> Select change mode.
>> After PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT, create one module to assign your function group program name to " X_HEADER-GUI_PROG = "

1. Crete Field Catalogue (Key Figures & Statistics)
2. Create Info Structures using Field Catalogues
3. Assign Update Groups to Info Structures & Set up Update Rules for Key Figures & Characteristics.
4. Activate the Update for Info Structures
5. Perform statically set-up to upload and Post data in LIS.
T-Codes:
1. OMOA / OMOB / OMOC - Create / Change / Display - Application
2. MC18 / MC19 / MC20 - Create / Change / Display - Field Catalogue
3. MC / MC22 / MC23 - Create / Change / Display - Info Structures
4. MC24 / MC25 / MC26 - Maintain update rules
5. OMO1 - Activate Update.

Single click on the Home button. Then double click on the Home button. In the recently used row, touch and hold the Contact app till they start to wiggle and then tap the minus sing by the contacts app.
Also make sure the Contact program on your computer is closed.

Shoud i define VA_WHITE? Where?

first u need to create a visual attribute. on form navigator u can see node of 'Visual Attributes'. create a visual attribute say with name of 'VA_WHITE' and define its background color.
then u can use same code....
set_item_property('ppd0030.gibu_amt', visual_attribute, 'VA_WHITE');
also make sure that item name is correct and block name is correct.
